Sounds

Every couple of days my ring tones go to the annoying default ringtone, all I have to do is reboot my phone simple fact us it's annoying

Are the notification sounds in options being reset, or is it just the file won't play? Also, when it happens again see if you can play music in the music app. If it fails I'd net its the same crap from MOTO that plagues many DX's.

That's unusual. Are you running any exotic-type apps. Are you rooted? Apex has notification settings in the apps themselves. Just trying to figure this out.
Stock rooted and yea they wont play in music player when it happens they stop working until its rebooted wierd

Are you using gtunes to download your music? Formally known as mp3 music download... I had the same problem and noticed the ringtones would change after I would update the app... the app kept on updating like once a week

apps closing themselves when phone in sleep mode

after the last update it seems like moto added some kind of auto end for certain programs. sometimes i see the message that a certain app as been running for 45mins and draining battery and if i wanted it close but other programs like the browser and music player will close on their own when i put the phone to sleep. when i open a song with the stock music player and when i put the phone to sleep it would play for 2mins or so then stop and close the program. everything works fine when the screen is on. any way to turn this off?
i do use the autoend list in the task manager app but made sure that both the browser and music app is not in the list yet they still close. is this just my phone? im rooted but not running any themes and no other mods and on 4.1.83.
Anyone know what's going on here or is it just my phone?

Music player stops...take the gallery and purchased media and file manager off auto task

just a guess do you have the phone in battery saver mode? Have you checked the stock task manager app to see if the programs are on the auto end list?

that seem to do it for the music player. I already have the phone on performance mode.

[Q] Text (notifications) Interrupt Music

Notifications Interrupt music for about 2 seconds, then music starts again. This does not happen on Cyanogen just wondering if there is a FIX for Sense Roms.
Is there a FIX out there for this very annoying issue? I have searched and searched with diff combination of words and no answer comes up?
If you are using the standard music app, open the app, p ress settings, then you should see a lossless ducking option, enable it. Then what wil happen is that the notification will play at a quieter right through the music, so it doeesn't stop at all.
Is this for the EVO? I forgot to mention what device I had lol...I just went to the Myn Synergy RC2 ROM from CM7 ROM. I cant find this setting on it. I want a sense ROM that doesnt interrupt music, I know Myn Warm 2 Point 2 RC5 didnt do this. Thnks for your reply
put the phone on silent. the media volume remains unchanged, and the phone will vibrate your notifications and not interrupt the music.
been doin this since stock froyo, and now running synergy rls1, but works on and rom this way.
Thx for your replys guys...I put notifications on Silent for now...until Poweramp Player includes fhe option to fix this. I just wonder why CM7 and Myn Warm 2point2 dont interrupt.

Putting thebphone on silent is the on,y wat to fix it at the moment but some developers have just found way to build their rooms so that this flaw doesn't occur

I don't think it's a FLAW, but rather intended operation. When I'm listening to podcasts in DoggCatcher, it pauses while any notifications are playing. It resumes playback after the notification sound is complete, but I don't miss words in the middle like I would if it were playing the notification over top of the podcast. It really seems like it's a system feature that requests to pause currently playing media while notifications are happening, and these apps merely respect the request.
It only does it when the headphones are plugged in, without them it will not do this.

So is there nothing to do for this then since I plug my evo in through the earphonejack to listen in the car

that happens to me too. i cant find anyway to fix it. turning off the notification sound just draws a silence when i get an new email or sms.
I don't think there is a fix yet if your on a sense Rom. I went crazy reading and searching about this. The Dev of Poweramp Player will be fixing this in the next update. Def. Worth the purchase without the fix...its a major plus once he can fix this.

Same here, only weather started to work after a while, like if I only said "weather" instead of the whole phrase. Only real problems I'm noticing so far is that talk back can be iffy (only works sometimes) and I get a fc every time I try to set a wake command in settings. I'm sure there is more to report, only played with it a bit.

It doesn't know where to hide a dead body
Gues I'll have to ask someone with an iphone to help me..
what makes this any different than voice actions, jeannie, or vlingo? actually those seem to work better than s-voice....
It seems to only handle small requests. Like "open music" and open "XDA". Its faster to just open the app from the drawer. It is pretty funny trying to send SMS and looking at what it thinks you said. Or just messing around, like "Text *blank* message o I c u 8 1 2. Try turning up your media volume in volumes menu and unchecking "link volumes" to get talk back.

Lock screen problem after calling someone

After I called someone, I got this bug that is bothering me when I have I unlock my phone .I think it has to do with the pandora app. Please help

I have the same issue and I'm trying to figure it out. I suppose we can help each other narrow it down. Are you able to reproduce this? So far I haven't figured out how to make it happen and thought it only happens randomly. The only way I figured out how to get rid of it is by pressing pause then unlocking the phone.
Next time you get this, post a list of running apps.
Last time this happened to me what I had running was:
Settings
Facebook
Messenger
MightyText
8tracks
Accuweather
Pandora
Media
ExchangeServices
GooglePlayServices
GoogleServices
Gmail
When I killed the MightyText app the lockscreen bug went away. You wouldn't happen to have MightyText on your phone, would you? Or something that syncs your SMS's and phonecalls to a tablet.
My suggestion is to recreate the bug then go through your Running Apps list one-by-one until you disable the app that is causing this.
Somehow it went away after I used the clean master
