Hi
I got a new galaxy Tab 10.1 from the US during a visit there last week.
I was able to download skype and facebook to it (honeycomb 3.1).
but now I'm back to my country and I can find or update skype or facebook.
I tried to connect using VPN (to US server) and without any lack.
does someone has ideas how to solve it ?

Hey guys!
so my mum gave me her Htc hero yesterday
I wiped it and then I got informed of a software update so I did it now when I try and download an app its stuck on Starting Download
This never happened when my mum had it.
I have look on the internet and tried all the options.
What else could I do?
Reboot it.
I assume you're using the official version. How long does it get stuck for?
I have trying rebooting it
Yeah I am using the official version. and it just wont start I have been trying for days
Would maybe using one of the versions of android on the forum would sort it out
I've had the same issue before, just check if you are able to connect to the GTalk server, ie fire up the Google Talk IM app. If you can't connect, your Market hasn't got a chance.
My advice here would be to reset the phone & log into your Google account.
I had this issue when I changed my googlemail.co.uk address to GMail.com, & another time when I added more then 1 Googlemail account to the phone.
I got the Tablet this morning, and was very happy that it arrived so quickly. However, it seems that there is a several bugs in the system that I don’t know what to do about it.
Yahoo messenger will install, allow you to enter your log in information, but will get stuck on yahoo screen with the smiley face, and “loading contact list.” but will NOT load in. Skype and Nimbuzz works fine BTW.
Pandora Radio will not load at all, and will give several error messages. Boots to Pandora splash screen with the following message Pandora http error occurred code: 417 startupAsyncTask
Sling Media player will log in but won’t load the video.
Since I’m deployed in Iraq, it would be much easier to try to fix the problem before thinking of returning the tablet, so, I used Rom Manager, and tried clearing the cached data associated with it. Restored to factory setting. Then I got in contact with Yahoo who after 2 hours of tech support cannot tell me why this is happening. Pandora referred me to Samsung, and Sling Media don't offer support for the tablet, they only offer support to their software. I really don’t have the time and tools to chase tech support from here. Can someone HELP PLEASE?
I'm in South Korea, and I cannot get many US based services, such as Pandora, Hulu, even last.fm will not work here. Amazon is asking if I live in the US and will not let me purchase books or music because I am outside the US.
This may be the problem you are having. But I did not have any problem with Yahoo mail using the Yahoo mail app.
Perhaps you need to set the tab for WiFi only? Just a guess.
i'm using WIFI, and My tablet is GT-P1000 UK model. Oh one more problem i forgot to earlier. i use VPN, it will let me connect but i will have no connectivity to any thing after that. should i flash my tablet? would that solve the problem? if so is there is a full guide, and files on how to flash a UK tablet to stock ROM
Its peobibily because you need to be in the uk to use those services. Try a uk based vpn with web access

I am new to this forum. My husband just purchased this tablet while out of town and we are tryong to video chat on yahoo messenger but the invite to web camera is not an option to click on. On my laptop it says that he is not using the current version of messenger for video chat. Can someone please, please help me figure out what he needs to do. Thanks in advance.
I have attempted to run the yahoo video chat from my S7 but the app requires android 2.2 or higher. The S7,at present runs 2.1,and video chat is not available. The tech support folks are planning an update soon to 2.2 so we should be in good shape then. I have been told that fring video chat will qork but have no experience with it. Might be worth a try
if you can find the app for the laptop.

Hi
I posted this problem earlier on General Discussion forum. from there, iwas directed to here. The thread is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46249269
The problem is below.
I recently purchased a Galaxy S4. I configured my official exchange active sync mail in the default mail app. It disabled the option to install the application not obtained from play store. However the same configuration on my friends "Note II" is working fine and he is able to install apps which are not from play store. I asked my company's IT persons too. they were unable to help.
Following is the configuration:
Device: Samsung Galaxy S4 (India)
Exchanges Server : Outlook Exchnage server 2010.
Thanks
Bimal
Hi all,
The A501 of my parents (they haven't used it for some time) is unusable because the password of Google account is rejected, but password is correct.
Tried to add another Google account, same issue.
Is this tablet definetly out of date or is there anything I can do ?
They only use Gmail, Google Maps, internet and photos.
The main problem is I can't connect Gmail to Google account.
Model : A501
Android : 3.2
Kernel : 2.6.36.3+
Build : Acer_A501_4.031.24_COM_GEN1
Thanks for help.

Thing is they discontinued Google support for Android <3.0. You have to update to a much later version of Android, and you can root the tablet.
