download flickie wallpaper HD from the market. you'll love it.. as far as that picture goes. go to pictures.Google.com and upload that picture with the camera icon on the searchbar to find it elsewhere on the internet. or use Google goggles to take a picture of it with your phone

Modded to fix camera button FCing.
nice! thx.
Do you need to be rooted to install this in Milestone?
Not sure, I'd guess not.
But you should root anyway, nothing to lose, lots of stuff to gain
Thanx mate...i actually downloaded the 3D gallery from android development page here is xda...cool though accept it doesnt show video thumbnails...

Can we just install and use it straightaway for Milestone?
Do we need to do any advance settings or what?
NO, it works without root.
Out of curiosity, will this work on a rooted Droid running Froyo?
No widget supp ?
If you have root you can put gallery3D in /system/app and give permissions 644. I have it as my default gallery. I've deleted MediaGallery.apk...it's useless for me now
On motorola milestone, there is no gallary widget as default ? Or i dont find it ?

Gallery3D has a widget, i don't remember if default's mediagallery.apk has it or not...
For me, when i hold on the screen, than widget gallery 3d, it just open me the app, nothing alse. I need a widget ( picture ) on all of the screen.
the only widget associated to the gallery is Picture Frame i think. is that what you're looking for?

Yes, i already find it But the user interface, isnt so good
can someone IM me for the Nexus 3D galery apk?
I got my milestone XT701 in China (I live here now) and it is missing loads of stuff you can get in the west.
One of those things is the 3D gallery. the link provided earlier I can actually not access, probably due to the Chinese firewall. Could someone either IM me and send me the apk file i need to install the app, or provide me with alternate links to get the app? (e.g. someone said he got the app from the android development forum, maybe a link to the post containing the appropriate file would work)
While I'm at it, can someone provide me with the application pack for the google market? This too is not available on the Chinese XT701, and it actually does hinder me a lot!
Thx!
Hi,
The wallpaper I used with honeycomb doesn't fit properly with ics.
I used the galery app which tells me to crop the picture. So do I. What I get ? A little picture in the center of the screen. What's the matter ? Yet, my picture is 1920x1408.
Without using a dedicated app, what's the best way to place a wallpaper on the screen ?
Thanks,
Siso

That is the app I use. You open it up as a live Wallpaper & then you can select the still wall that you want. It is the way to go!
Edit: you might want to use this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ridgelineapps.simpleimagewallpaper&hl=en His link put my Play Store in French for a while...

Thanks for tip! Great app...
So I am posting this here because my username is too new and I can not place this on the correct forums.
I downloaded the HellKat ROM [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/development/rom-official-4-4-2-hellkat-mako-t2606098 ] The ROM is working just fine, except for one miner thing.
and I did mess with the DPI settings in the interface a bit, just to fit more items on my screens. When I change the wallpaper to one from Gallery, or the built in ones, the paper saves as super zoomed, and way far to the left. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this? Can I use the app settings app? and change the android wallpaper cropper DPI settings? I am left confused.
I came from a 4.2 Jelly Beer build, and it was not like that. I am sure there is a easy fix for this, This ROM is my new daily rider, although I have not updated it due to others experiencing issues with later builds.
I thank you for your help, and for taking the time to read this post. If there is any way to have this moved to the correct thread, it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to make sure the correct dev reads in to this.

My solution was to install Holo Launcher HD. It may or may not work for you. In conjunction with that, I use Quickpic to set the wallpaper.

Thanks so much... I will give them a try.

I did not change to holo launcher, i enjoy the modded trebuchet launcher that comes in the ROM. I changed my wallpaper with you other option and I think it is the same still.

If you have the zoom fix settings then it will solve the problem. This is what keeps me from using any other launcher.

I do not have that setting, maybe this is just something I have to deal with until the creator fixes it...

Hi I deleted the stock android photo gallery app because it was annoying me with repeated sign in attempts to picassa.
However now i can't attach photos to a text message or review a photo i just took when in camera.
How can I reinstall the factory photo gallery for the Samsung s5?
Thanks!!

are you talking about Touchwiz camera or AOSP camera? The picasa sign in notifications are from Google+ app, remove/freeze that.
It was the stock photo gallery app with the Samsung S5 SM G900 FD.
It's just called photo gallery. I erased it and replaced it with a different photo app. Now i lost some functions like attaching photos from a text. I need to know how to reinstall it?
Any ideas?

Correct me if I'm wrong but what you're saying is that you have not flashed any custom roms, haven't rooted and yet managed to delete the stock gallery app?
If that is correct go to settings>apps>app manager find your new photo app and click reset/delete defaults
I did root the phone which is why i was able to delete the stock photo app

Ok. Download stock rom, extract camera app from there. If you have CWM/TWRP backups extract camera app from them with winrar or your favourite archiver. It should also work if you download any touchwiz based rom and extract the camera app from there.:good:
Thank you! ! You wouldn't happen to have a link to the stock rom would you?
I didn't back it up with cwm because i was so annoyed by the constant sign in attempts that i thought there's no way i would ever want it back lol! I'm pretty new to this whole thing of tampering with system files and definitely not a guy who knows much about computers so as much info as possible is very much appreciated! !
Thanks! !

That sign in prompt is Google+ afaik not camera app. Anyway here's a link to a touchwiz rom for your phone, download it and extract the camera/gallery/photo app from there. Next time remember to always make a backup in recovery, you never know when you might need it :silly: :good:
Great thanks a lot! !?
Strange thing i extracted the system rom from that link you gave me. I can't find the photo gallery app anywhere in it. Can find everything else but that, any ideas where it might be hiding?

OK I found it, it worked, everything back to normal! I used the search tool and it came right up. Thanks again for the help, it sure is interesting to play around with these gadgets! Amazing to see the sheer volume of information that goes into programming one of these things when you actually get to physically see the programming. A world few people will ever get to see.

I'm glad it worked out. Good luck :victory:
Maybe it'll sound stupid, but I don't seem to find a way. It only lets me choose between system wallpapers, not from the gallery.
I have root if needed. Any help will be appreciated.

Hmm, not sure what the problem is. When I go to set wallpaper on the lockscreen it does let me pick from the gallery. You do have pictures in your gallery right? Just guessing. I am rooted. I also have Dropbox activated and when I pick gallery I see photos from Dropbox listed since I have not taken pictures with the Tab 4 yet.

I can only choose between "Wallpapers" and "Travel Wallpapers". So desperate.
I recently overcame this problem using the 'xposed lockscreen wallpaper' module. Not sure if i got it through here (xda app) or from the xposed installer dowload section.
