I'm just curious what other phones are capable of. I think my score isn't too bad.

Anyone else tested this benchmark app? I never heard of it. You should download Quadrant and Linpack and post all 3 scores.

For those of you that are running axura could you please post your quadrant benchmark scores.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Quadrant is around 970-990
Linpack around 14-14.3
Even though quads don't mean anything, here are mine.
Quadrant: 977
Lin: 14.2
Thanks

I've just recently noticed this. But benchmarks yield crappier gpu results in the nexus s than the epic. For example the corridor test on my epic oc'd to 1.3ghz rubs at 40+ fps. The lowest its dropped is 35 fps and the highest was 50fps. Meanwhile the nexus s is running 10-15 fps slower. I thought this was just some issue with my buds nexus s but I just youtubed some benches and found the same results. Anyone else notice this? Why? Same hardware and I expected the nexus s to actually do better since its got official gb and the epic doesn't. I'm kind of baffled here.

Well I just ran smartbench side by side to the ns4g. Much better result there. I guess the ns4gs gpu drivers are much different somewhere down the road. The "planet" test on quadrant ran at a horrid 11fps while it stays at a constant 56fps on the epic.
sent from the Galaxy S Pro
I've had the same results while comparing benches on my Epic and my Nexus S, but it's only Quadrant. Real world graphics performance is just as good if not better than the Epic's. Other benchmarkkng programs don't seem to have the same discrepancies.

No need to feel bad. It just emphasizes the innacuracy of benchmarks

You have the Premium app so all you have to do is touch on a post (like to quote them) and you should have a "thank" option...as long as you are on the most current version of XDA Premium. Not that I am fishing for thanks..just an FYI

Thank Tapatalk, it's in their app which is what the xda app is built from.
@xda, build some transparent versions of the premium app and I'll pay the $1.50 for it!
Nexus on daily speed blows my old Epic away but it lacks in web browsing and some games that my epic could handle perfectly fine. I always wondered the reason behind that.

Stop fighting!
According to doixanh and common sense, this "better" OC is actually fake - built with debug info to have bigger size and therefore fool users into thinking that it's better than normal OC module. Most probably it has faked frequencies.
We don't fight.....,i really hate to fight.

OK, good
But still, it's useless as it usually gives lower benchmark scores even on higher frequencies.
So blagus, you suggest that doixanh module is better?.
With this module i got 1738 on antutu benchmark

I'm sure you can get same score with dx's module on lower that current frequency... or, if you can make test on at least two phones with several different frequencies on both "dx" and "big" OC modules, maybe you can proove OC module author, DX, that "big" version is indeed better.
Hmm we should make a test
Sent from my E15 using XDA Premium App
One question. What's the default freq for "big" module?
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
800mhz
Sent from my E15 using XDA Premium App
i can confirm that with Dx's module @710mhz i can get 1730 benchmark score on antutu.
If i use the "big" module @720mhz (most stable to me) i can't pass from 1634.
If i go to 760mnhz one more time with the "big" one (phone is unstable to me at 760) i can get 1699.
So i can add this info..i tried too without oc module and i can get 1640.
Hope it helps.
I got 1739 with antutu with the" big" module

Stock rom, stock kernel.
Installed from market latest .apk, including Ram manager and SD booster.
Testing in antutu 2.7.2. - looking for the 2d results / evolution , average result for 2d: about 500. (anywhere between 450 - 610).
Suddenly, this happened. While receiving a phone call over antutu testing.
Anyone, similar experience to confirm this?

Well to tell you,its not a bug on the rom..its a bug on the benchmark...and i think its understandable because two roms share the same situation..have you ever bothered to think of it for a while?

i think that it was fail!!! on stock/kernel
DOn't believe to benchmarks. I have antutu 1686 score with stock and played skies of glory with any lag, but with cyanogen mod 2,1,9 and naa11 kernel this game isn't working (only force close ), although i had 2150 in antutu. It's only MY opinion. so...
Hello all,
I recently flashed Ktoonz kernels and used the Ktweaker to set it to Performance. When I ran a Quadrant test after rebooting I was more than surprised. The numbers were much lower than a stock kernel. Any one know if I possibly did something wrong? This is the Quadrant score I have and also a shot of the Ktweaker. Thanks.

Do not ever go by quadrant, if the phone feels smoother and faster then it is smoother and faster.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
Okay. So what exactly is it that Quadrant is used for then? I always thought it was used to test the speed of the device?

Its a bragging rights thing really, any developer will tell you its completely pointless. Real life usage is what matters. For instance when forcerom came out it had problems with getting 6000 quadrants but was running smooth.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
Okay, thanks a lot! Yeah it definitely does feel faster and smoother. Just hoping that with the performance kernel I still get some good battery life.
