Im Using MW600 as my Bluetooth Headset, but i found out that the Audio Skips once in a while, while listening to Music, Watching Video's and maybe even in Calls, Im using FroyoBread v016.
I have already asked doixanh about this, but he doesn't have a BT Headset, so it is impossible for him to fix this.
Is there anyone out there who could help us users with BT Headset and find for a fix for FroyoBread or every custom roms out there, i heard that this bug is present in every custom roms
Thanks
I use DS205 and I didn't have skip problem. Not yet I guess...
But I notice the phone become a bit laggy.
Owww, I almost forgot, the play/pause button doesn't work

i have the same problem, my bluetooth headset it SE MH100
Let's hope that some dev's can look around with this problem and can find a fix
is this occur on racht hackdroid too?
This problem caused from Sony's special codecs. MW600 works perfectcly on original roms, but when we use custom roms we have sound interruptions
I'm looking for alternate bluetooth stereo hedset for MW600. Is anyone suggest to me an alternate?
I use a plantronics backbeat headset with my HTC Evo 4G and every songle custom rom i have tried makes it skip... is there a solution for it?

For me (with MW600) sound only skips in 2.2 ROMs. 2.3 ROMs should be fine, so if it skips under gigerbread, then I think you have got no problem with headset or rom but there are some CPU eating app you've got there. So try PowerAmp and set the audio thread priority to maximum. See if it works.
Notice that we've got X8 there, so your problem might be different!

i have mh100 using gingerdx v23b and i don't have any problem with the audio skipping or any thing p.s: using alfs GDX v8
you should consider upgrading and using alfs kernel-or without kernel-
plus i wanted to ask a question about your headset can you play FM radio through Bluetooth or does it tell you to connect wired headset

is it just me??
there aren't that many reports of this issue on the net. it was briefly mentioned on one of the reviews and that was it.
anyway, on higher bitrate mp3 playback, bluetooth headset audio stutters and skips a lot, even if the device is held very very close.
wifi was not running, 3g data was not on.
if you guys think the issue I posted on google Android's bug site is relevant, then please vote.

Desire as well?? wow..
i think perhaps ill try disabling the HTC Sense or something
just dont understand why no one's been complaining
whats the x10 like by the way...it looks really nice but someone somewhere said SE's skin is slow?
how much battery life do you get out of it?
I do have trouble using just a plain headset. I only get about 30cm range before the audio begin to stutter.
I've tried with two different Sony Ericsson headsets (HBH-PV710, HBH-610a) and a TomTom Go930.
Is it a software issue or hardware related? Repair?

am guessing it's hardware...
but perhaps it can still be helped by modifications in software
basically im still getting the same issues with a custom ROM
Got the phone replaced with a brand new, still the same problem.
Audio in headset is really bad, but in the other end they can hear me loud and clear.
Could it be poor output power from the Bluetooth transmitter in the phone,
while reception is good?
I've restored it to factory settings, and had WiFi disabled.
I've got the same problems on my Legend.
Both A2D2-profile and standard audio for talking.
No more than 80-90 cm before the static and noice occurs.
My colleague here at the mobile-store had the same problems on Hero, and now on his currently X10..
So to me this seems as an Android problem overall, but I can't tell for sure..
My Legend is my first Android handset, and I like it..
I only wish these blutoothproblems hadn't been here.. Should have been just the same as on my beloved Sony Ericsson handsets..
Got a new headset a Nokia BH-602 and the audio is a lot better, not perfect but at least I can hear every word said.
It's quite strange that SE HBH-PV710 and HBH-610a including TomTom Go930 just didn't work.
I'm just curious what qualification Android or Bluez did meet to certify for the Bluetooth standard.
Sorry to bump an old thread...
But just wanted to add I have the exact same issue, the bluetooth range is not very far at all, however it is a lot better then 30-60cm.. i'm able to go for about 2-4 meters with line of sight.
So i guess its usable as long as the phone is in my pocket which is fine.. just wish it was a little better like my previous phones where I can just leave it charging and walk around the house.
Bluetooth support is pretty atrocious on this HTC Legend.
Never had any problems streaming audio or using any of my previous devices with my car stereo for handsfree.
But this Legend is pants! - It won't work with Bluetooth Audio streaming at all - I just get static and some wierd clicking noises (using 2.03 latest official ROM) and handsfree connects ok - but then drops half way through a call causing me to lose my call at the time.
Any resolves for these bluetooth woes?
thanks in advance.
PS - Using it with my Pioneer FH-P80BT
I use my Legend with a pair of Sennheiser MM400 headphones. I have no stutter with bluetooth stereo (except minor cuts when browsing some intensive websites or typing fast in landscape mode). My headset works well even with the phone in my pocket (although it skips momentarily if I turn my head right or if my hand touches the bluetooth transmitter near the camera lens).
Perhaps some of the reported problems are caused by some background process using CPU cycles with high priority?
Incidentally, I highly recommend these headphones - bluetooth playback is of identical quality to wired playback. I don't know how Sennhesier have acomplished this feat but every other brand of bluetooth headphones I have used before have had intolerable reproduction of high frequency sounds.
I am having this problem as well...streaming music from my T-Mobile Vibrant to my radio via bluetooth. The radio is bluetooth 2.1 compatible and the Vibrant is supposedly Bluetooth 3.0.
I used to have a Mytouch 3G running Android 1.6 and I do not remember having this problem.
Same problem here !
am using Legend, and "Jwin Stereo bluetooth" headphones that needs "A2DP" to work, and its working clear but there is some silly cuts while listening mp3's and its disturbing me, i cant ignore these cuts coz are alot !
Please tell us if there is any way to solve it ...
Thanks..
There seems to be no way to listen to music or the soundtrack of a video via Bluetooth a2dp ...
Tried with both the music player and vplayer but each time the sound only comes from the phone speaker and not the Bluetooth device.
Anyone managed this?
It works with the stock rom but I haven't seen any custom roms with it fully operational for media, just for calls.

Thanks, it seems there are a couple of widgets in the market that add the functionality. At least it's not a hardware limitation.
What apps are those? I want to try them please.

I have no problem with the stock ROM but i do use this...
A2DP Volume, you can get it on the market, it's Free.
The one I tried was called bluetooth audio widget, free trial. Will try a2dp volume though as the one I tried seemed to interfere with dsp manager so I installed.
Just tried a2dp volume and it doesn't work for me. That's with leedroid v1.2. Maybe this only works on stock?
Got a2dp volume to work. Seems to do the job well for audio only but has anyone tried watching a video using Bluetooth a2dp for sound? Everything is completely out of sync. I don't there is anyway round this but thought I'd put it out there?
Same with stock player and vplayer.
Just tried Bluetooth audio widget again from the market and this keeps the audio in sync nicely, the only problem being that the quality is pathetic.
Anyone know of a better alternative that keeps audio and video sync?
I finally flashed a custom rom and kernel on my stock evo. All is great!, except bluetooth.
I use bluetooth in the car to stream. After flashing, the audio sounds like crap again, like it did after Sprint initially pushed 2.2 with the new Froyo bluetooth stack. It is/was a known issue with the new stack. Sprint/HTC has since fixed/worked around this issue.
So what is responsible for bringing this back, the rom or the kernel?
Is there a way to keep what I've got but tweak the bluetooth?
Netarchy 4.3.2 cfs sbc more havs
MikFroYo 4.5
Thanks,

the bluetooth stack is in the kernel
Funny thing is that with CM7 bluetooth ad2p sounds great no matter which kernel I run, but with a sense rom ad2p sounds horrid no matter which kernel I flash. Enjoying 53 bitpool right now with CM7 vs 32 bitpool you get with sense roms.
I'd like to know if anyone knows which kernel has the best bluetooth stack.
I've been having a lot of connection issues. Sometimes my headset will connect to both phone and audio functions, and sometimes it will only connect to audio. To fix it I will have to unpair the headset and then pair it again. Serious pain in the butt.
I have a Plantronics 8-(something, lol I dont remember, it's the one that you can use as a single headset or add an attachment earpiece for stereo) and I have a Plantronics Backbeat. I have connection issues with both of them.
This never happened when on sense that I can recall....But I am not giving up Wiimote Control or CM. At least not yet. Like I said, it's really annoying when you try answering the phone and your BT headset has decided it only wants to connect to media and not the phone. >.<

Thanks. Does anyone know of any kernel's with cfs, sbc, and havs-more that have excellent A2DP quality?

That's the magic question right now I think. I don't know of any fully fucntional Kernels that allow you to have every feature built in. It depends on your hardware. For me, I'll take fully functional over scheduling/underclocking. I'm running Snap 7.6 on a 003 build and everything works. I had a bunch of problems with my apps when I tried to enable Turbo so I had to reflash everything and left Turbo disabled. Battery life is basically like stock and the device runs a bit warm.
Well, I saw Savaged-Zen had a newer kernel out, so I flashed their 0.0.5 last night. So far so good...No connection issues so far. I have been listening on my backbeat all morning and it sounds great, might want to give it a shot. Im using the BFS -No SBC.
Thanks. I'm playing with aosp's now to find a fix.

After switching from WM to Android, people often complain they can barely hear me while talking through my H710 bluetooth headset, that works perfectly well in WM and/or with PC. How do i reconfigure it to actually work properly ?
PS: let me clarify again, i am talking about the OUTGOING audio, the one received by the other party. The audio volume on my side is fine.
bump
No replies at all... how expectable
Just wanted to add, i've tested the very same ROM on the very same kernel with a different earphone (Nokia BH-105, borrowed it from a coworker), and it is working perfectly well, meaning it's also headset dependent, too
I'm facing the same problem..

I am thinking about just buying a different headset, can you tell the headset you are trying so i wouldn't even try that one ?
The headsets are not the problem.. the problem is in Sense ROMs.. i suggest you trying CyanogenMod roms.. some said that that bluetooth issue is sorted out!
I have a similar problem. I tried using two different headsets: mono - Bluetrek Sense and stereo - Plantronics 590. Both worked fine with the original firmware windows mobile. But after installing the Android firmware RAFDROID HD 4.0.2, my voice with a microphone headset is too quiet.
Hi guys! Hope someone could help me with my question. Is it possible on our LG GT540 to listen to music through a mono bluetooth headset?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, on Stock ROMs and selected custom roms that specifies support for bluetooth headsets.
Just to report on this topic.
There isnt native support for playing music through bluetooth headset (the profile is for it is HSP - headset profile), its only ment for calls. A2DP is profile is for stereo music but its only in more expensive devices with stereo headphones. Many people addressed this issue http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=7906 and its really weird that Android doesnt support this. But not to worry there are ways of getting music on mono bluetooth headset. One way is to pair with earphone, play music and then go to dialer and call three asteriks "***" but call is ended after about 30 seconds. Second way is through third party apps. First one I tried is Super BT Mono but isnt working with pcfighters CM7, but other app that I tested on this ROM is BTmono which is working flawlessly so anyone who is having problem like this the BTmono is the answer.
