I need instructions on how I set the LG E900 Optimus 7 to use the internet for the lap top
You mean tethering the phone with your laptop to use your data? There is a way. Search around this board, in the dev section.

Is there any driver for connecting a 3G USB stick like the Huawei E1750 to the transformer or will there be developed a driver in the future?

Doubtful that any 3G USB devices will ever work on android tablets. You are better off getting a 3g hotspot device or something that can tether via bluetooth.
werd my work pays for my Verizon Mifi so I have internets wherever I go, just coming back from a 12 hour drive on vacaction, it's a lovely device to carry around with me.

So I guess it's a matter of time
Guys, one question bit off topic:
I was waiting for this tablet that will come out tomorrow here in Portugal.
But if it doesnt have USB on the Tablet (for usb internet stick) neither sim card internet, how can i connect it to internet without the dock?
Yes, i want to buy the dock because thats also why i want this tablet, but my point is: if i wanna use google maps to visit places and have live points of interest, pictures and directions do i need to carry the dock?
If anyone with the tablet could make this clear to me i would appreciate.
You can use your Android Mobile as a WiFi hotspot. If you have one.
Yes connectivity ONLY works with dock. Or use tethering with your phone + eee pad

Has anyone tried applying the changes from the first thread to a Transformer ?
Now we can safely debrick devices with NVFlash I may give it a try.
-- EDIT --
OK, after doing a Nandroid backup, I've individually backed up the files affected and applied everything from the 3g-a500-v1.zip file apart from build.prop.
For build.prop I've backed up the original and added the following lines at the bottom.
WW_epad.3g=true
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libhuawei-ril.so
rild.libargs=-d /dev/ttyUSB2
ro.pad.features.modem=true
to the end. (I'm not sure about the "WW_epad" bit of that first line)
After changes, tablet seems to boot OK and wifi networking is unaffected.
However it turns out today is the day I DIDN'T put my huawei E160 modem in my bag. DOH
Actually trying it with the modem will have to wait till I get home from work.
To be continued...
Hello XDA Forum Members,
First of thanks to all you guys that take their time and help us to fix problems or let us understand things clearly about Android.
My question is that I just bought Acer Iconia A500 and love it and I was expecting to use my LG Optimus V wifi tethering (I can use the wifi tethering easily to my laptop using wireless tether app). I cannot seem to connect it to my Acer tablet. I used PDA Net app for tablets and others wifi tethering app using Bluetooth but the problem comes to only one thing. When I try to connect bluetooth to my Acer tablet, I seem to pair it easily but on both end i.e. on my phone as well as Acer tablet I get a message "Paired but not connected". I also cannot seem to see any proxy settings in Acer tablet settings so that I can tweak it plus after pairing I cannot seem to see Internet Connection in Bluetooth Profile section to connect to internet. But on the other hand I can flawlessly (with out any problem) use my Virgin Mobile LG Optimus internet to my laptop.
I tried everything but unsuccessful and here I am asking you guys to help me.
I am pretty sure you guys out there smarter than me to give me a simple solution.
Thanks
Nick

I have no idea about using bluetooth to tether so I cant help you there. But what happens when you try and tether over wifi?
I've got an Optimus V running CM7 and I'm able to wirelessly tether perfectly via wifi using QuickSettings off the marketplace. I've been doing it with my A500 or my old CM7 Nook Color for a good 4 or 5 months now.
Once you get your mobile hotspot set up, you literally open the app and hit a button to turn on the tethering. It's really easy.
hi,
I have a Dell XCD 35, it is Gen2 with 512 MB ram..
I am quite happy with the phone, for I hardly do anything beyond making calls and navigation. However, I am stuck at sharing this phone with my laptop internet connection as
1. My laptop runs a Vista Home..
2. Dell XCD35/ ZTE BLADE wont detect Ad Hoc connections.
3. Tried reading various forums and have now realised that either I have to upgrade my vista to Windows 7, else get a stand alone Wi Fi router, or I have to root the phone and do some wpa supplicant... change.
4. I have absolutely no clue/ experience about rooting a phone or writing/ editing command lines..
Is there any application available in the market, that shall enable my XCD35 to share vista Laptop internet connection?
If not, are there any other ways, you can connect XCD35 to a Vista Laptop.. using Bluetooth or USB cable?
Thanks in advance
I don't know much about this,but you can try PdaNet.

can you use it to get internet from your pc to work on your phone?
or is it just another tethering app from phone to pc?

I really have no idea. I just came across it. Ill check it up today and tell you.
Sent from my Blade using XDA app
apologies if this has been addressed, i'm trying to determine if there is a fix for the nexus 7 being able to connect to adhoc networks. i came across this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787680&page=1 but it ends about a month ago with no real resolution. this is a major concern for me, i've already returned one phone because it would only transmit adhoc. i need to be able to tether my nexus 7 for work purposes and i'm stuck with my old optimus v unless there is a fix. thanks!
Hi guys,
i have a little problem.. 1 month ago i bought a wifi tablet and i use it also in car, so this evening i want to surf in web trought it using Wi-Fi Hotspot of my LG G2 and sorprise, the tablet is connected to the smartphone hotspot but don't get internet connection so i cannont navigate! So try Tethering Bluetooth but it was the same!
I thought that problem was about the tablet, but using another smartphone in hotspot mode the tablet connect and can navigate
I used a lot of time the wifi Hotspot in my LG G2 and it has always worked. The only thing that i made to my LG G" is that 2 month ago i made the ROOT, and since then i have not tried the hotspot or tethering.
So , what can i do to reuse the hotspot?
Thanks to all in advance
P.S. i have the LG G2 model D802

Did you JUST root, or did you also install a custom ROM? If you can't figure it out, you could try Open Garden. It's not terrible, but quite a few apps won't see the tablet as online unfortunately. Most work.
Yes i just root and i have a stock rom..
