Widget Locker is another good lock screen replacement. Highly customisable as well.

Thanks, nice lock screen.

Ya I used it till now..but this one looks way too techy and cool..
And its FREE..
gives all the option one could use in a lockscreen..
and after all..depends on one's taste anyway..
PS: it even gives missed call or msg notificaton on screen..as seen in screen shot which widget locker does'nt..

It looks nice and functions as designed. However, there is very little in the way of customization at the moment -- it doesn't even have a proper option screen that I can see. This means the wallpaper can't be changed (absolutely essential for any lock app in my view) and arguably more importantly the home button takes you to the home screen which defeats the object of a lock screen to a large extent.
Back to WidgetLocker for me but I will keep an eye on this to see if it is improved as it looks very nice.
Also, shouldn't this be in Themes And Apps?

I had less battery life with this lockscreen. Checking the cpu usage with System Panel proved it was using my cpu all the time (1-3%).

Not being able to change the wallpaper is annoying but I could live with that. However, the home button bypassing the lockscreen is a real deal breaker -- it's essential this is fixed before this application becomes usable.

Widget locker does that as well (but you need to read the documentation to figure out how)

It only does once, and that's when it's installed from the market, try the link from the OP and look under permissions, I think it's the top one actually.

It can once you install ADW Notifier. I like customising things so i'll be sticking with Widget Locker.

[IDEA]WM6.5 Easy Hide Titanium

I'm not thinking something like my snapshots I photoshopped up would be possible, but it would be nice to have an easy-hide button for Titanium rather than going into the Today screen settings.
I guess the mockups are something I might have if I was a Microsoft 6.5 Engineer. Basically I just copied the Hide/Show Desktop Button from Windows 7, added some Arrows from the Lock Screen, and added the Lock Screen clock at the bottom.

I'd like that!!
If this were the default lockscreen it would be much more original that than the iPhone S2U that Microsoft is trying to copy.
Think, if your alerts could shoot out of the arrow part and you could slide them up or down to retrieve them. To unlock the phone, just drag the arrows to the right. All with smooth animations of course. The arrow part could simply change color to let you know you have new alerts. When you tap it, the number of alerts slides out along with the individual alert slider.

I never thought of making it a lock screen. I guess if someone were to create a whole new lock screen app like that, it would be possible to make one that was like my designs... But I am still interested in the idea of easily hiding Titanium.
Good idea.
It looks like S2U2.
i would love to get this on my phone if any one can develop it haha...great idea....... love it.... lets hope some one can make it...
support this great idea
Looks like something that might be available on "7". But would be awesome if we could get it here and now. +1 for notifications linked to the appropriate panel, ie. you get an email: the email hidden tab would blink/change color/show email icon and you could slide that tab out to check it.. brilliant concept.

I'll attempt to work on the notification concept a bit in some more photoshop mockups. But thank you everyone for your good feedback.
such a simple idea....absolutely brilliant. I would love to have this
the closest thing to this now would be s2u2 actually. just a matter of skinning it to look like titanium. and you can slide and titanium would show!!! i know not what you had in mind but hey it's the closest you can get =D
i like it...but maybe make it a lock buten?? sory for my englisch
cool idea!!
it would be much nicer with this in touch in my phone

very nice!

but... mayde, why not it 3D?
Cool idea
Yeah that is a very good idea !!!
great Idea if someone could find a way to add page to Clock PANEL then You could just creat an exe to lock phone right?

[Q] How to display clock and battery on top taskbar?

Does anyone know how to display both the clock and the battery in the top taskbar? Thanks
Would like to know if this is possible too.
I don't neccesary need the time in taskbar when in HTC Sense, but when I'm using an application, it would be nice to see the time.
+1 I have wanted the same as well ! please can someone help? i dont want to have the colored battery icon that replaces the start button, nor the spb pocket plus battery. The 1% increase battery icon with a clock please

Agreed. If possible no third party add-on apps. But, if all else fails....
+1 Would also want to see the clock and battery icon in every application (which allows taksbar)
It would be great to have both the battery and the clock in the taskbar. If not, every time we must go to the home screen to see the clock!

kBattery v1.1.9 Freeware
A couple of notes:
- This is a common annoyance for all WM Phones below and including 6.5.0, the other forums are flooded with the same kind of requests.
- To my knowledge there is no registry hack to get both.
- You can customise the width and position of the battery/clock.
- It is essentially an icon that overlaps, not replaces, other stuff on the taskbar.
- In my screenshot, I moved/expanded it so it covered the Volume and Battery icons.
- I'm not sure if it works on the HD2 (getting it in 4 days), this is a screenshot of my X1.
- Switching from Portrait > Landscape and vice-versa, there will be a small delay before the battery location moves to the right place. Very minor inconvenience though.
- No system hog as far as I can see. Battery usage with and without the same.
just tried it on the Leo. Works perfectly thanks for the tip btyeh.
Thanks for the tip. Though I cannot find how to configure the app, and by default it looks really bad and it is not placed properly.
I would prefer a totally different solution than this, but I guess it is pretty hard?

Touch and hold the icon to go into the setup menu.
Thanks, configured it in the best way possible for the HD2. Still not loving it, I can't make it any smaller (less wide) than this, and in some windows the new icon is a little slow to catch up. It's a nice try, but definately not the ultimate solution for me. Deinstalling...
One screenshot showing it on Sense, the other one showing in Resco Explorer with the X in the cornor.

Thanks for the tip. I've tried it for a day and I like a lot the way it looks. Unfortunately it makes the animations in Sense stutter a little bit. Take a look at the clouds on the today screen and notice how they stutter. When exiting kBattery the lagging disappears.
Too bad... the search continues.
I downloaded kBattery v1.0.3 at http://sourceforge.net/projects/kbattery/ and now the stuttering is gone. Unfortunately I can't change the position of it. Maybe there's a version between 1.0.3 and 1.1.9 that can move the clock/battery and that doesn't have the stuttering. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find such a version yet.
UPDATE: I managed to change the position of the clock/battery icon on v1.0.3 by changing HKCU->Software->kuchin->KBattery->Position to 450
Now it looks perfect and the stuttering in Sense is gone... BUT in landscape the icon is in the middle in the taskbar. I think it's placing the icons based on pixels from the left edge of the screen instead of from the right side. Since kbattery 1.0.3 is open source my only hope is that someone who knows how to can change the source code so that it calculates the position from the right edge of the screen.
How can I take a screen dump of how nice it looks in portrait mode? (I'm still new to WM, have only had it for less than a week)
Source code is available here by the way ;-) http://sourceforge.net/projects/kbattery/files/Source/KBattery 1.0.3/
I have been using Ariel Battery. Sorry can't remember the link. It only displays the battery. It's ok but is a bit slow sometimes when updating the background, ie. sometimes when you move from a solid background to a transparent background, the background of the clock is still a solid color. Would still really like a more native solution

Recently I made a stripped down version of the BattClock of TouchLockPro and StylusLock, for people not needing my locking solution. See www.zuinigerijder.com and XDA-developers thread

New locking app?

I was looking around online and I saw a picture of this locking app. It looks pretty sweet and a lot less boring than the normal PIN lock. It looks as if you unlock it with a sequence you set of which little dots are clicked. Take a look, any ideas on if something like this is available for the TP2?

lol That is pretty sweet. I'm going to need to try that out. Should I search the Tilt2/TP2 Forums, or the main XDA thread?
Alright found the download and i installed the cab. But one little problem, it shows up everytime i reset my device or turn it on. But whenever I hold down the lock button and click lock, it uses the standard slide to unlock thing. I set the sleep timer to one minute but I want this to work when I manually lock it. Any ideas?
hhhhmmm
go to the start menu or file xplore n find throttle lock itself. should b able to set the settings for it there. or u can always set the "end" key right to throttle lock. give it a shot.
ill check back wit u 2moro. let me kno how it goes or check software worth installin its the 1st sticky under rhodium themes n apps there a few more lock apps there.
google is ur friend as well... google throttle lock for tp2.....
good luck.... n welcome to the forums!
Thanks, I'll have to try that. Found the download and a few cool skins on the official Throttle Apps website. Found that theme you were talking about too. Might have to try that out to show off to some people. lol
Would you mind sharing the links mate?
Here is the link to the website: http://www.throttlelauncher.com/portal/Products/ThrottleLock/throttlelock-07
@slapshot....
You do realize that the pic you have up is of a Nexus One right? LOL
There are lots of pretty nice lock apps around there...
You found throttlelock already...
There is also:
S2U2 pretty nice Iphone like locking..
There is the new HD Mini Lockscreen over in the HD2 forums as well
thats built into android. i think throttlelock is the only other with grid pattern unlocker.
haha yes I realize this is an android phone. But I was guessing that there had to be a similar app to work on the TP2/Tilt2... and there was. S2U2 was jacked up for me. Always messed up my screen no matter what I did, and yes, I downloaded it for the right screen size, did resets etc. The throttle lock is working perfectly and now I'm just in the process of making my own skin for it.

0.4.4 is out. market has a problem so grab the apk from www.launcherpro.com
I think that this is the best launcher replacement by far. Very smooth and light.
I love this launcher as well.
I have a stupid question however. They talk about "drawers" a lot...what is this feature?
-------------------------------------
Sent via the XDA Tapatalk App
I prefer Launcher Pro to the other apps I have tried like Helix, ADW - loving the amount of customisation you can do with it and how snappy it is as well.
As for a 'drawer' well thats the part you pull up where all your apps are found
Is that all? Why do they make it sound like such a huge feature? I have been looking for a widget or setting and found nothing.
Thanks for clearing that up for me
I have 0.4.4 version. Best launcher for me, better than adw launcher

Has anyone else encountered the problem of not being able to install custom icons? It fc's
Also, LauncherPro on Froyo has an app2sd problem that sd apps do not load until LauncherPro is restarted.

Is there an app to put power control widget in notification pulldown?

That would be sweet. Pretty much the only feature of my long gone jailbroken I*phone (sbsettings) that I miss was activating that screen with a swipe without exiting the focused application. It must be possible in android. Any info?
Quicksettings?
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
There is an app in the market called "Quick Settings" which can be placed in the Ongoing notification dropdown that is customizable to include everything on the power control widget and more.
I am a fan of "power strip", a great paid app.
Quick Settings is really nice. Thanks y'all.
FYI, I've also used NOTIFi by Sisedi Media. It's skinnable and has a polished look that's a little different from the normal android UI.
Try QuickDesk Beta. It's a single extra homescreen that you access by double tapping the home button. Can put any widgets or shortcuts that you can put on your home screen. That way, all you have to do is double tap your home button, use the power strip, then hit back to get out of QuickDesk Beta and you'll be back in your original app.
The MIUI ROM has this as a fixed element at the bottom of the drop down.

The amount of times i've wished I didn't have to return to Home Screen to toggle GPS / WIFI etc - this is the absolute perfect solution. If it had customisable entries where we could launch a task switcher - WIN WIN!
+1 hopefully.
Perhaps this thread should be moved to Andoid General for greater visibility?
Steve.
theres an app thats called "in app toggle wifi" or something where you just have to hold the search softkey for a couple of seconds. even better in that it is hidden.
A good alternative is quickdesk by ruqqq, I've set it to bring up its "screen" on home double tap.
quickdesk is awesome. Not only can use power control but any app that you want without leaving any application. love it
Just noticed that the galaxy tab has this too.
