LPP is my favorite, anyway Zeam Launcher isn't too bad ^^
Why not include stock launcher/Arc launcher? Those are pretty good ones, and people are used to them. Also by using the stock one maybe more people will go ahead and try your rom. But out of that list Launcher Pro is the best.

Well, I'm always deleting stock launcher anyway as I have GO launcher EX installed. Just by the way, EX version is free in the market now, I don't know if they even still provide the non-EX version. I believe they decided to earn money on themes
E: I voted for GO launcher of course, but I think that it could be a good idea to get a stock android one, so that people who use launcher pro plus have no problems with installing it

I guess stock launcher would be good so that people who have lpp can install it easily without being face palmed by the "system application can't be removed" message

@ Doxianh: i use LPP so everytime i install another launcher then delete apk for launcherpro in system/app then install launcherProPlus.

Have you tried go launcher? Free launcher which has most features the ex version of adw has. I think Go is smoother, way smoother.
Tried it but there something I dont like about Go Launcher... to many plugins, etc... I guess I dont trust them...
Besides ADW is more complete to me and as smooth as the Go suite.
In all honesty, having used both launcherpro plus and adw ex, I would go with launcherpro as it is MUCH smoother and you can do all the same things with it. The Widgets with launcherpro plus are also a pretty nice feature, plus they are theme-able and all. As far as smoothness is concerned though, launcherpro will win every single time. Try the free version and see how you like it, you just wont have the launcher-specific Widgets available or be able to resize Widgets on the homescreen until you buy the plus key

I would go with launcher pro if stability and battery is the main focus.
But, ADW and Go Launcher EX is meant for hardcore themers. But, you will be impressed with both.

GO Launcher is by far the best. Launchers shouldn't affect battery life and GO does much more than ADW or LauncherPro. If you need the recent apps just hold the home button. I have had multiple problems with LauncherPro, whenever I update an app it FCs and FCs on startup as well. ADW is very slow with home screen transitions and GO does everything, and better than the others.
Just trying to get an overview of user experience with GO Launcher and apps on the desire.
Personally I find it very smooth and responsive. Is there better out there?
I own a HTC Desire, it's smooth enough, but if you starting using lot's of widgets and so on it gets heavier. It does a good job for all the fancy stuff tho. And pretty cool themes too.
I use it too. I found that it's the most polished launcher for gingerbread.
some unavailable feature
1. since they develop the launcher, they should be able to build full screen animation for its weather widget.
2. The unlocker screen cannot trigger the animation. So even the great HTC clock cannot have the animation.
Interesting points. I'm using it on ICS, works well, seems smoother than stock launcher. I'm using HD widgets for the clock and weather (full screen). Im trying the GO Launcher HD for tablets on my tf101 eepad, quite impressed with it.
I don't know about ICS. While I found it to be the best on GB on ICS I would recommend Apex.
I also use GO Launcher for HTC Desire. I didn't found another launcher to move better. Best so far...

I used ADW and ADW EX for a really long time. But then switched over to GO Launcher EX.
It's fast, stable, smooth and has a lot of features. For me the best decision...

I first used, and bought, Launcher Pro, don't remember the reason but I changed to Go Launcher after about 6 months. I used it for over a year, until I flashed to ICS and now JB, and I use Nova. Was really happy with Go Launcher, but Nova was pre-installed so I decided to try it, and it is really awesome.
I found go launcher consumes too much memory for a HTC Desire and it crashes a lot.
I really like it, but I have better

Best launcher for gb imo. I just use basic flip effect as 3d can lag but otherwise it's great. Mildwild Rom.

Which is the best launcher?
I'd say the smoothest launcher now is Nova Launcher.
Works like a charm for me. Has all the options I need.

I agree that nova is the better launcher (I run it on my gnex) but found it lagged my desire somewhat, hence sticking with go. Even go does somewhat with visual settings using certain effects, rooted using Mildwild.

I used this launcher before i flashed a MildWild ROM. Now i just use the Xperia launcher from this ROM
Ever since I discovered GO I never liked any other launcher. Tried them all, but u will never get so many customizations with others. Plus it has gesture controls. FOR FREE!
I'm using CM7.2. Deleted that ADW crap from CM ROM and installed GO Launcher EX instead. In fact, I also use GO Contacts, GO SMS, GO Keyboard, GO Locker and Toucher.
The GO Team is the best!

I noticed that ppl don,t use Go luncher with HD2!
I think Go luncher is faster than trebuchet, I installed go luncher in nexushd2 jb rom and I have between 200 and 220 ram free is that natural? or because I changed staff in the ROM??

i think because golauncher turned into bloatlauncher
apex and nova are by far the best launchers for JB
Yep, GO Launcher used to be my favourite but now it's just filled with bloat and it's not very light. The Holo UI based launchers were never as fast but looked nicer and were lighter in that sense.
Well,I had try Nova launcher it was lighter and better,but I miss some feature from go launcher like go switch widget
U can't ask anyone why they don't use it, Dude everyone has there own choice.
I was using go launcher for almost a year , but then Nova and apex launcher are one of the best recent launcher.

I am currently using CM 3d launcher. I have grown accustomed to using. I like when someone picks up my phone to try and find stuff it's hard cause they don't know where to look.
I'm using evie it is similar to ASAP launcher, I like the intuitive design compared with other launchers out there
