Hi. The Wi-fi on my G1 has stopped working.
I rooted my phone with the RC9 uk version by JF. I had no problems connecting to encrypted network.
I tried moving apps onto sd card and ran into problems so I wiped my phone and reset everything.
I cannot connect anymore on open or encrypted network. I can view it and when I try and connect it, it try's to obtain ip address and then fails!!?
Any ideas? Thanks
Hi
Does anyone think it's worth flashing back to the original version? I suspect not because it worked ok on the jf version I have but don't know what else to try?
I will try another wireless network at work today.
If my phone is picking up the network but not connect sound like a hardware problem or just a software one do you think?
Thanks
I had a similar problem but it was a router issue. I would def try another router before blaming the phone.
Ok. I just tried another router at work with an open network and its still the same. Shall I flash the phone do you think. Don't really want to do it again but I use the wifi network a lot and I am worried it could be hardware.
Thanks
well if you flash it and still have the problem then its hardware based. So nothing can hurt from flashing
I re flashed with latest version rc9 jf version and now working again. Thank you neoob
I don't know if this is a big problem because ICS 4.03 works well on my device, but does anyone have a solution for fixing my mac address problem. It tells me that my mac address is 00:00:00:00:00:00 & I am unable to connect to wifi because of this.
I have tried "set MAC address" from the android market but it tells me it's not compatible with my device.
I have tried all of the Gingerbread upgrades from the betas to the latest upgrade & still get the same problem.
Whilst I have no problems with the wifi using only the official roms, as soon as I install the ICS 4.03 it wipes out my mac address.
Help Please!!!
Can someone help me.
I have a Bug at my phone, that after connect with more than 2 or 3 Wifi networks my wlan doesn't work anymore.
I can start it and can try to connect with a network but then it tries to get an ip address and it lose connection and reconnect.
Everytime i get this i have to re flash my phone to get it work again.
Does someone know how to fix it?
I'm currently at CM9 FXP 215 with Lupus Kernel V8-720P
But it doesn't matter what Kernel or Custom Rom i have flashed
Ok now i have a way to fix it temporary.
I set a static ip for all Networks(same IP at all networks, because they are all from me)
I have recently updated my I9505 to use the GPE 4.3 rom and I have a problem with my hotspot. I can enable the hotspot and devices can connect and get an IP. However, when I try to use the internet on the devices that connected to the hotspot, they cannot connect to the internet.
I have tried to remove all encryption thinking that the off chance it could be a bad connection to the hotspot but it does not fix the problem.
I have not encountered this issue on stock nor on Omega v9, v13...
What can be the problem?

Solved.
The APN Type was missing "dun" value.
Settings.....wireless and networks....mobile networks....access point names.... Select an APN profile and modify the APN Type field.
Hello!
My Oneplus 5 does not connect to any wifi networks. It is able to see all wifi networks in the range, and is also able to save the network if the password entered is correct, however, it won't actually connect to any network that is saved. I have tried using advanced options while connecting to a network to change from DHCP to Static settings, but it still won't connect to any network. I have also tried changing the wifi band frequencies (2.4 and 5 Ghz individually) to connect to a network but that too does not help. Mobile Data and carrier signal on the other hand work flawlessly, and so does bluetooth connectivity, NFC and personal hotspot (which is why I am very confused). I should also mention that when it fails to connect to a saved wifi network, it occassionally displays "Disabled" under the network SSID (replacing "Saved").
I have changed 3 different ROMs (LOS, stock OOS and No Limits ROM, even replaced the stock kernel with blu_spark r69 when I tried using No Limits and stock OOS to try and see if that fixed the problem), but the phone just won't connect to any detected/saved network using any of those ROMs. I have reverted it fully back to stock now (OOS 4.5.14 and stock kernel and stock recovery) and am still having the same problem.
Sorry if this issue has been solved before and if I am reposting something, but I really need this fixed ASAP and am not able to find a working solution after searching the forums and googling the whole day. Please help me! Thanks!
Edit: finally fixed the problem thanks to Ivints and PeterGuru. Check out the post that Ivints linked below (especially the comments in page 2 of the same)

Thank you so much Ivints! I'm trying to fix it right now with the solutions I got from the post.
I'm having exactly the same problem that the guy who started that post had. I'll let you know when I fix it and everything goes well again! Thanks again, bud!
if you want to stay on Nougat look for the O2N revert flash file it's in the Oxygen 5 beta threads that will let you get back to a nougat based rom.
The Oreo update touched other partitions outside of /system so those wifi drivers don't work with Nougat anymore

I see... I'll look for that thread and get the flash file! thanks! I'm currently using xXx's No Limits 9.2 OB03 ROM with bluspark 3.2.1 recovery and bluspark r77 (Oneplus 5). The only reason that I feel like reverting back to Nougat is that I want to be able to use Xposed again. So i guess I have that option in hand not too! Thanks, bud!
Hello there my friends, i have a problem with my op5
its about wifi: it doesn t see my wifi anymore. idk why
it s been connected to this wifi 2 years ,even after switching roms kernels, firmwares
and now , it doesnt see the wifi no more, actually it sees it, in `Saved` section, but when i press on it to connect
it says ` not in the area` but my other op6 its connected no problem
and i even tried through qr code, it says ` check ur connection and try again`
Just one add-on cause I was just a few minutes away from formatting my data. My OP5 unlocked rooted, rest stock, wasnt connecting to my home wifis (2,4ghz and 5ghz). I flashed a full ota zip. I deleted wifi bluetooth via backups settings.
But I found out that connecting to an iphone hotspot worked. So I entered manually the network SSID + password although the same network name was already in my wifi list (with marking: "saved"). I then clicked on the second "new" same wifi and it directly connected to my home wifi. Same happened to the 5ghz network. I then deleted the old 2 ones.
I have no idea why this happened, I only tried to get VoLTE/Wifi Call running with the magisk module. This might changed sth but I dont get the connection here since there should be no interference...
