No linking to any "competitor" sites.

You can find lists like these in the wiki for samsung epic. I was trying to keep it updated, however, due to my illness my hands are less useful so it is too much for me to do anymore.

Thanks for the response. I tried reflashing, redownloading and reflashing. But my epic just isn't playing nice with this great Rom. It appears to work about every other day, then errors come up again even with Journaling on. I will say I haven't tried the latest version. Since the last 2 versions been giving me Hell.

Well custodian uses it and says its way better than Darky's ram tweak. So I'm hoping Custodian chimes in to let us know where to get it. Anyhow, its supposed to tweak our Ram/cpu to somehow make it quicker and more responsive. It does the same thing as Darky's ram booster tweak does, just better tweaks, I'm assuming.

Any clue if this will work with SRF 1.1.0?
Wow this thing really worked..... Im running srf 1.1.1 w/ genocide kernel 1.1 oc 1.4ghz..... gonna run some benchmarks.... be back in an edit soon....
Edit: nothing secial in benchmarks but you can deffinatly tell its working with how smooth everything is.... and the ram is at about 178mb use in the stock task manager

I was curious about this RAM tweak. Thanks Custodian for posting the link. EDIT..ok, I decided to go for it and this seems to really make a difference! I am running Urban Fury with Genocide 1.1, 1400/200. It made everything super smooth and things seem to open faster...just like advertised. When I get back to my PC, you have a thanks coming Custodian.

Current "best" rom suggestions?

So I owned the epic, played with Midnight, played with ACS and finally said **** it and went with a NS4g... I haven't touch an epic in a few months now and was wondering if you guys have CM7 yet, or any other good AOSP-like alternatives.
My mom and sister are still using epics and are sick of the sprint UI and bloat and I was looking to help them out by loading something different no their phone.
Any suggestions?
Well no aosp yet.... but syndicate rom frozen is veryy battery efficient and fast... and I would use genocide with it, atleast untill vision kernel comes out

IMO... as mentioned above,
rom: srf 1.2
kernal: genocide 1.1 or twilight 1.1.1

Now that I have found is I can't live without it. This script eliminates bootlags and boosts performance system wide. It is totally safe. I am using it on my HTC Thunderbolt, MyTouch 4G, and my Samsung Galaxy Tab.

I don't think the flashable version works at all, the script never actually shown up in the int.d folder, I had to do it the manual way.

The Best EL30 Custom Rom

CM9, wasn't for me, so I'm currently using CM7-which I love. BUT, the nightlies still haven't fixed the volume whenever you make outgoing calls and I don't like the Camera/video recorder. Since those two things haven't been fixed (And its driving me crazy) I was wondering what you guys think is a very good EL30 Rom? I'm thinking about switching to one but I don't want to sacrifice battery life and how snappy CM7 is. Just interested in seeing what you guys recommend that I should try.
There is only like 3. Just try them all and see what is best for YOU. Each phone and user is different.

Im still trying to figure out what else I can do to my epic...i got cm9 alpha 4 on it....but besides that idk where else to go..
Before I switched over to CM9, I was on Clean GB. Before that, it was SleeperROM, but I remember finding something that I didn't like too much. I'm not putting it down or anything. Its just that one of my apps wasn't working or the camera. I forgot exactly what it was, but they're both good. I can't say about the other one. I liked Clean GB a lot. Give it a try.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
tried CM7, tried MIUI (had to add a launcher becuase it was driving me crazy without one...lol) and tried CleanGB...
all very nice and unique in their own ways...
in the end, went back to Legendary Rom v2.2, after converting it from BML to MTD format....
the creators have made the install of all the roms idiot proof, it's fun to just backup/wipe as many times as you want and try them all out
SleeperRom or CleanGB are both great Roms.
And Marcusant's v4 will be out soon too. It is in beta now.

be careful, the GS4g and Vibrant may look the same, but their flashing procedures are a bit different. read up and then do it.
Adding on to xriderx66, use this guide if you need a reference when backing up & flashing a custom rom to your dads phone... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028
Since he's already rooted start from: "OKAY, I HAVE ROOT - NOW WHAT? BACKUP!!!"
If your dad is happy with the stock ROM (with the exception of the speed) then I would definitely suggest going with something like the fishman mod that is based on the stock 2.2 ROM. That'll make sure he still has all the stock apps and such. I used Bionix for a LONG time and was always really happy with it.
I'm gonna show him bionix and see what he says
