Is there any way to enable muting the microphone while on a call?
It's a quite common bug in many roms. Racht's floyo 0.20 had it and the rom I'm currently using (gingerbread cm7-108 by racht) has the same bug as well!
Is there any way to fix it? With an update.zip or something like that?
I dont get it, why do you want to mute your mic? Don't you want to hold the call instead if you want to pause the conversation.?
use the search... mute button bug has been fixed a LOOOOOOONG time ago... =.= for ANY rom...
Sorry but there's no such thing in the forum! I searched the word "mute" at the xperia x8 forums and the only thread I found was this one :S
@deedi I need to mute the call when I talk to my girlfriend! hahaha
fine then... =/ here ya go.
as for putting it into your phone, find out yourself if u don't know how already
Thank you!! Now tell me how to put it in my phone!!!!
Just kidding... I think I can do that by myself Thanks again
haha u're welcome. not sure if it works with floyo tho esp 0.20 since i'm using FB... if u get FCs in the phone app it might not be compatible with floyo 0.20 in which case u need to get the fix from elsewhere (like in minicm), altho i can't see any reason why it shouldn't be perfectly working. cheers

Well I installed a couple of programs today, and it seemed like everything was working fine, then all of a sudden I realize I have no volume on my Media player, youtube player, etc. The phone rings, I can talk to people, but there is no sound. Even when I go to try to change my ring tone, and preview it, it's not playing, yet when someone calls it does. Someone please tell me it's an easy fix.
Here is what I installed on the phone today
Inesoft Address book and Cyberon Voice Command
Post it in your device's thread
this has nothing to do with development and hacking, please refer to correct forum
Sorry guys, Is there a way I can delete this.
no but have u tried uninstalling those programs to see if it works?...if its those problems giving u that problem my best guess is the voice command...but thats just a guess

I have done the Inesoft program, but the Voice Command isn't in the remove programs section, so I am trying to figure out how to do that now.
does it work after u uninstall inesoft?...i'm guessing not but...u gotta wait for someone smart to fix your problems as im out of ideas
I know SRS WOW HD can cause a lot of volume muting issues with some of the newer ROMs.
Please be a little more specific...which ROM are you using and do you have SRS WOW HD installed?
hi friends this is my first post i wonder if there´s anyway to get the message tone to end when i read the message? like a normal phone i mean (no winmo)
i have a moto a3100 Winmo 6.1
sorry 4 my english im from venezuela
my samsung omnia behaves the same way. It seems caused by Winmo (mine is WM6.5.3). A little annoying!
yes it is seems like nobody is interested
bump it im interesed :C i want this :C
i´m still intereted so up!
bump it again xD
same here any body knows how to do it?
i think it can be stopped although im not sure how. my htc ozone's message tone stops whenever i press any key
im not sure if there is such a way..
but as of now the only way is probably to cut the mp3 file maybe?
say to play for abt 10 sec? personally ive been using vito ringtone editor..
its been around in the forum if im not mistaken..
if u want it, i'll attached it here..
NOTE: crck not done by me..
Hey there!
For all of you with SoD, please do try my idea... been testing all afternoon, and even though its early to say, I'm sure it is working.
It occurred to me, that maybe windows still had some control over the hard keys while running Android.... so i had the following idea!
Install AE Button Plus 2.6.5.cab (or maybe another version) and UNBIND all hard keys. I guess maybe the End/Lock key will be enough, but i just unbinded all of them as i dont use Windows mobile anyway since i got Android! ahaha . THEN, launch our dear Android the usual way. This way, I can still answer calls and navigate using touch if i do feel like using Windows Mobile for whatever strange reason!
I now use FD Droidboot and disabled sense/titanium on my barebones Miri Rom.
Result: Screen comes up every single time i press the lock key, and goes off every single time i click the same key. Works as it should now. Immediate response too (using a class 2 card)
Brilliant! Me very happy! This was getting annoying.
Also, yeah i confirm, the workaround for the mic gain, using the wired headset, seems to work for me.
Darkstone Desire V5
Radio : 2.12.50.02_2 (does seem better on the battery! Thanks to whoever suggested it! and thanks to all the devs and testers!)
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS WORKS! Just thought that I should share this since a lot of people are having the same issue....
Peace and Kudos to everyone and specially to the programmers!
WHERE DO I FIND ''AE Button Plus 2.6.5.cab''? SEARCHED BUT COULDN'T FIND CAN YOU PLS MIRROR

That still gives me the SOD. I'm gonna try the OP's method and see if it helps. I'll report back soon.
How to disable Lock/End key in Winmo?
Yep, was working all day flawlessly, but towards the end of the day was getting slow and started happening again... even after restarting. Thanks for the help testing this!
Now i notice that after having unbinded all keys, all of them except the End call key, are still unassigned.
Is there a fix or registry key to completely "disarm" the Lock/End key while in Win Mo? I still think this is related to SOD somehow.
Hi,
Ive been having problems installing Froyo 2.2 on my HD2 due to errors and also having a radio .51. Not wanting to risk bricking my phone I downloaded the new rom upgrade which came out yesterday and decided to try to run android without hspl 2 or 3, or doing any complicated flash rom stuff as I s**t myself incase I brick my phone.
So just letting people know that if ur having the same problems like me but want to try out android on ur hd2. I would upgrade your phone to 3.14 and simply download froyo 2.2 to ur stick. No need to do the other stuff and it hopefully should work like mine. This post could help people who just want a simple working android on their phone without having to follow some of the more complicated guides that ask you to install hdpl, custon roms, upgrade radios that could brike ur phone if u dont read them properly.
Sorry if this has been posted just I could not find this info anywhere...
testing?
can you test and confirm that everything works?
phone calls (outgoing and incoming)
text messages (outgoing and incoming)
MMS (outgoing and incoming)
google account access (gtalk gvoice gmail)
camera+flash
camcorder+flashlight
GPS+navigation
WiFi
BT
G-Sensor
Compass
Market
that would be great. and would be the most help to any future android users on HD2
Same as Above ^
where did you download the ROM? htc.com?

This sounds a bit fishy to me, I mean dont you need HSPL 2 or 3 to allow the phone to even boot into Android?

Yes I didnt install HSPL 2 or 3 because I was afraid of bricking my phone, all I did was upgrade to the new rom 3.14 on the htc.com website and tried the android that I put on my dou stick. Sorry if im not making sense just im new to this stuff and dont know how to explain very well. Anyways ive been playing around with it today and SMS works fine, market place but I get the robot voice on my phone calls, anyone know a fix for this, also battery life seems great if u get the settings right. Phone on standby all night and only lost 3% battery life
Robotic voice present
Hi, another newbie here.
The upgraded ROM from htc.com also inspired me to take the plunge and try Android. Android boots fine, and everything seems to be in good working order (GPS, Market, SMS etc), but unfortunately the downfall is the robotic voice.
Would I be right in thinking that as Radio 2.15 becomes the norm, that future Android builds may solve this problem?
As it stands, I don't believe it would be possible to roll back the radio to 2.14?
Thanks All.

Hi im also a newbie and hopefully it will,
also since this works can I take any future android build and put them on my phone?? Dont know how this works, do I just replace my old android folder with the new one on my duo stick??
P.S. how do you get the 5min reply block off my account?
Thx in advance
like OP i was also reluctant to install hspl, flash a new radio/rom and etc just to try android, since i was using stock 1.66 rom with 2.06 radio. yesterday after flashing the latest stock rom, I installed Froyostone Sence v3.17. Frankly saying I did not expect it to boot so fast and work so smooth. giving its my first try, the whole double OS experience on my HD2 is astonishing. Now i feel kind of less abandoned by the 'oh we love square blue tiles' Microsoft. So far I have sucessfully configured gmail/exchange accounts, as it has already been mentioned the market fully works (though could not install Angry Birds), also had a phone call but did not have a robotic voice though was told that my voice sounded as if i was far away from the phone, i guess this is normal considering that i was on a speaker mode.
p.s my sd card is Samsung 8 gb class 6

aww cool thats good to hear that u dont have robotic voice on ur build. I was only looking to use android to help me develop an app for my final year uni project and also to allow me to, browse web, facebook, make calls and texts so I might have to download ur build. Dont know what mine is atm but I guess everyone who does this someone will find the perfect build where everything works. Btw Rurph does ur light work when u take a picture? Mine doesnt but my camcorder does
Thats interesting - I will go ahead and try Froyostone Sense and see if that also solves my robot voice problem.
I had been keen to try a non-sense UI out of interest, but after a taste of android, I am keen to use android day-to-day!
I'll let you know how I get on.
have just tried the camera, the flash does not seem to work - not a big problem, since i rarely use the camera on my phone.

Hey, isnt that feature a part of the sense UI on android based devices?
however if you know any windows mobile developers you could ask them to make you an app? im sure it works by reading values from the g-sensor and the proximity sensor during the calling period then applying the appropriate settings for the values read.
We have one for our tg01 but unfortunately there is a time delay when you tilt the phonr
