htc sense

hi, first of all i would like to thanx all cooker in this community for their job.
in second instance, i've read that sense (the new UI from htc) run on qvga device such as tatoo.
is thare any chance to have it on polaris?

You already have it. Just try an hero build of android.
But maybe with the tattoo version, we could have faster build, yes

Stop creationg new thread about Android, there are already 3-4 thread speaking about it.
BTW Like Kiiv said HTC Sense UI already working on our device.

Sense is developped over Android...
HTC Tattoo is under Android...
So for me you spoke about android.
In your first post you don't mention that you want to port Sense on winmo. And I think it's not possible.
If you want something similar take a look at this.
There is other widgets in the forum to get album, messages, contacts, clocks, etc. on the UI.

Today gingerbeard was launched. My question is, is it possible for devs to combine the nu gingerbeard with Sense HD?

No. It consists of loads of frameworks and libraries, hence why you don't see any Sense programs in CyanogenMod builds.

it's not just a launcher... there are many more applications,libs,etc. involved in the sense experience and until they are not ported to 2.3 there wont be any sense hd gingerbread... just like 2.2 couldn't be ported until htc made one ...

is a desire Z rom planed with htc sense based on gingerbread?

OP has a serious and legitimate question. Sense is the only reason I'm waiting for the GB switch myself.

HTC has already announced that will upgrade to android 2.3 with new sense the desire HD, desire Z, incredible s and the "classic" desire

I would love to have sense on my Gingerbread as well. But there are alternatives to sense also. Search Beautiful Widgets, Beautiful Animations, Beautiful Live Wallpaper, Beautiful Home Weather and install those.
I use em instead of Sense and I am growing quite fond of them myself.
Huzzah to an excellent alternative

First of all, welcome over to the HD2, Trib! I hope you are planning to cook for us, it would be cool to see what you come up with
I like the Beautiful Widgets (et. al.) but Sense has so much more to offer, like the Skins and FriendStream. I've recently switched to pulse from the sense News Widget, so I'm not married to the Sense widgets, but then there is more to Sense than the eye-candy.
I've tried and liked CM6 and CM7 ROMs in the past, but I was an early-adopter of Gingerbread and was turned off by the lack of available stuff in the Market. I plan to go back (err. forward) some day, but I am going to wait for Sense this time.

Hopefully there will be Honeycomb for us some day. I was thinking about waiting to cook then; there are too many ROMs right now for us in the Android HD2 marquie.
I do have some idea though. So if we never see Android 3.0, then I will show what I have in mind.

You are right about those widgets, but as some one else said,sense has much more things to offer.. For example people (phonebook),and smart dialer.. Those 2 things are only things that are keeping me away from gingerbread or CM builds.. If there is a way to have sense like phonebook and dialer,i would switch to ginger or CM instantly..

Google has specifically stated that Honeycomb is for tablets only and the UI wasn't intended to work on smaller screens. Engadget said something about a guy here on XDA hitting a settings switch in the SDK that turned Honeycomb into a smaller, phone-like aspect without the major UI stuff.
I'm not so concerned about Honeycomb, except that it threatens to fragment Android (tablet vs phones) right now. I think Gingerbread could be perfect if Google could get BT HID licensed without having to pay for it.

Try "Dialer one" you can get it from market.

camera is one of the things that keeps me attached with sense.

Think HTC are missing a trick here... just release an official Sense ROM for the HD2 - they'll be selling HD2's by the bucketload!

MIUI is an iPhone look alike. The interface is fast and smooth. But i reflashed into another. Not cos i dont like the ROM or the Chef. But IMHO i ****ing dont like the iPhone interface. When you look at iPhone what you see is tons of icons which you cant move here and there to create a cool homescreen.
Just in case, if i have hurt any iFans. Lemme say the iPhone 4 is a real killer. But when it comes to my HD2, its the huntee. Equipped with Android....iPhone 4 shud be afraid...very very afraid.

You have to follow the rule, this is not the place to ask this question.

MIUI is more like a homebrew UI rather than a corporate product. It isn't really an alternative to Sense in that it's not a launcher you can install on a Sense-based ROM or any other ROM like you can with alternative launchers. MIUI generally comes cooked into Android ROMs. And it is almost identical to iOS. It would be more accurate to consider MIUI an iOS with widgets.

Fair enough question which was answered efficiently, could a Mod please move this thread to Q&A, it's useful for others with the same question.

Whilst I disagree with the general purpose of this thread, I must point out that Sense 4 IS booting on TMOUS HD2s. Even of its not usable, it is possible

EDIT: Sense 4.0 booting on EU HD2s thanks to Rick_1995 Go to the thread for the TMOUS one, it's on the 4th page.

Sense 4 should be soon on eu as they've paid effort on making it run on a tmous hd2. I believe our experts can help and everyone will love this phone.
