Well, anyone feel like posting their scores for the new app?
I do, i got a single 118 mflop result at 1.7ghz before the tablet crashed, and a 116 at 1.6 ghz. Screenshot of 1.6ghz, crashed too quickly at 1.7ghz to get the shot. http://db.tt/1N60zqm

Hey all,
When i run Quadrant Benchmark on my Device , it scores about 1400 points.
But this seems a bit low for me, because i flashed VirtousRom 0.7.3, with cpu speed at 1.4 GHz. Especially when i compare with the results on smartphonebenchmarks.com, they score much higher.
Can somebody explain that to me?

Hmm.. That does seem a bit low.. I'm running stock Rom with a 1.2Ghz overclock and will score just over 2k on Quadrant.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Maybe that's too high for your device? Have you tried the ones in between?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
The clock speed cant be an issue...i have done multiple benchmarks with it clocked all the way up to 1.8ghz...i doubt 1.2 or 1.4 is too high for the device...must be something with the ROM...im running the same rom tho just the most recent one 0.7.4 ill report back with a 1.2ghz and 1.4ghz oc benchmark
So heres the results on my Bell DZ running virtous 0.7.4
1.2ghz Run1-1919, Run2-1985, Run3-2029
1.4ghz Run1-2092, Run2-2285, Run3-2233
1.6ghz Run1-2214, Run2-2336, Run3-2396
1.8ghz Run1-2294, Run2-2542, Run3-2415
Probably pretty bogged down with like a 100apps

Ok, the problem was setCPU, reinstalled it and now it works.
Got 2300 points with 1.49 GHz and the whole system is running much smoother.
But anyway thanks for the replies.

Really,.... aha,... I might try a re-install n all. Nice one.
Don't forget to add [SOLVED] to your thread title.

Hmm, I've seen lots of people say that their scores are 3000-3500 but I've run it twice and have only ever got to 2700 ish.
It stalls at database writes for a bit

Using quadrant standard or advanced? Advanced gets higher from looking at results
Standard.
Nvm. Exited running apps and cleared memory and got 3100+.

Low quadrant score ain't a thing...it depends on optimization, running quadrant with live wallpapers and speed test running with a movie downloading at 3g will definitely affect your score
Also it depends on processor....if it is undervolted to save battery then the score will be obviously less
And lastly don't forget to check whether quadrant is optimized for sgs 2 or not as of database read and write it might be due to ext4 partition.
Hope it helps...
Don't judge your device on benchmarks but rather on how it works and how the general speed is.
Quad scores can be fixed and to be honest as long as you are happy with the performance.....then ignore the score.
But if you like numbers then...3564 on standard launcher, then 3874 using the laucher from the SE Arc.
Steve
Is there one or as simple trial and error kind of thing?
Thanks

Just trial and error. I would start at 1.2ghz on stepping 5 and increase by 50mhz being sure to thoroughly test each clock rate.
Do NOT use the set on boot option until you are sure it is stable.

I ended up testing/benchmarking in 25mhz increments. I know it was a bit more time consuming, but I found that my NC could handle 1275 while using multimedia intensive apps, but a friend could get his up to 1325 running benchmarks and not rebooting.
I think we got in one or two runs at 1350, but it definitely wasn't stable. Broke 4200 in quadrant, for whatever that's worth.
I have it set at 1300 and performance and get 2582 how do you get 4200?

This was a fresh install with no other background tasks running. All we did was get the CM7 ROM loaded, OC Kernel and gapps.
I'll get some screenshots of his quad scores when he gets back from helping a buddy move. I think we took screenshots of everything 1250+. I might try getting a full reload working and see if I can break that barrier.
I'm running 1325 and the best score I can get is high 3100s.
Can you guys tell me what settings you have under performance menu?
Sent from my NookColor using XDA Premium App
I got similar scores to them and I used the default settings In performance... I think its a matrer of what you have installed and your device. Also don't worry about quadrant scores they are not that important. If your nook runs smooth what does it matter?

Each machine will have to be trial and error. Different device..even same hardware are really all different to one degree or another....example...I have 2 nooks..both running the same version of cm..and kernel...my second one never gets past 3200 on quadrant...go figure...same exact software running on both.
I did this test with benchmarks back to back on higher cpu frequencies, and i ended up with 1325 being the highest stable i could go. Very low 3000's for benchmarks in quadrent which dont mean anything of course, but there ya go. Runs like a champ.
Sorry for the ignorant reply...but what will overclocking actually do? I have a NC with a dual boot CM7 SDcard. Didn't do it, bought it from Jonathan on Ebay, works great!

Quadrant is overrated, use antutu. It's harder to cheat a score on antutu
Thanks for the info mate.... But i'm actually searching for a better optimization OC setting for my xperia play phone like less battery drain, less lag, etc.... B-)

Edit : sd test not working after update to antutu v2.6.... That's why i'm uninstall them & only using quadrant right now, many thanks....

Latest Quadrant scores are low only.
I get 1250 w/o any tweaks and no overclock.

Antutu have updated their benchmark app and it now does an OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics test.
Although the Play really craps out in this test our scores are still miles different from the old versions. Use thus thread to post your new high scores along with your settings.
