Hello All!
I purchased a bluetooth dongle from Walmart.com and got it in the mail today.
Everything seems to be working (I tested by sending a file via the Windows 7 bluetooth transfer utility).
If I want to browse the contents of my TF SD card (internal and external) from Windows how can I do it?
I don't need any complicated program all I want it to do is look like a standard Explorer window and then (hopefully) let me drag-and-drop files.
Thanks!
Jan

How do I enable windows media player to transfer music to XDA 2 ?
When I click on copy to CD or device the XDA is not in the dropdown list, clicking on supported portable devices only takes me to a microsoft site where I cannot find the XDA.
hhhmmmm why not just copy it to the pocketpc folder in your my doc and sync the files to the xda ?
or use activesync to explore and copy the files to the xda ?
or if you use a sd card put it in your sdcard reader and copy the files to it like you would a disk ?
i never got mediaplayer to copy any music even to my mp3player back when i had an such
Hmmm thats wierd it works for me!!
As Rudegar say, copy your MP3 in a new Directory (must be created by you) via windows explorer.
After that, copy the directory in your PPC via ActiveSync and that's all.
At the beginning, I transfered my MP3 direct on my SD card with windows explorer but it doesn't work, ActiveSync modify the files automatickly.
Thanks for the replies guys.
Just like the title says. When I connect my A500 to the PC to copy a movie over I will see multiple copies of the folders on my external SD card (currently are three copies of the folders showing). The internal SD card is fine.
If I go to the last "copy" of the folder on the external SD, I can copy files to and from, but if I go to any of the copies, it hangs and I have to unplug the tablet from the PC and reconnect.
Anyone know how I can get rid of these extra copies? If I use Es file explorer on the tablet, everything is fine. It is only when I use windows explorer that I get this problem.
updated drivers?

Drivers are latest.
I am getting ready to try an experiment. I am going to use windows explorer delete everything from the external SD while the tablet is plugged into the computer. I have a back up copy of all the files and I will re-copy them to the SD card (again using windows explorer) to see if it shows only one copy.
This must be a windows explorer thing since I only see one copy of everything when I am using Es file explorer on the tablet. I just find it amazing that no one else has had this problem before.
I'm tired of this sh*t on my Nexus 4. Lots of crashes on Windows 7/8... and when I download something to my phone using aTorrent, ttorrent or something, it don't update my new files. I can't see them in windows explorer, until I reboot the Nexus... Plus I can't stream the files or mount a drive letter. If at least I could create a vfat partition or something in the internal memory, or windows could read the android file system, would be great.
MTP sucks, we just have to deal with it. I use Ubuntu and I install go-mtpfs and it work similar to regular file transfer, but its not perfect either. I have yet to find the perfect solution, except adb command line transfer.
You can use an app such as SD Rescan https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uberullu.rescansd to avoid rebooting your Nexus to refresh the file contents on MTP.
You could put an FTP server on your Nexus and use an FTP client on your PC and transfer files by wireless. It's slower but more accurate.
Please help. After connecting my Note 3 to the PC (Win 7) with USB cable, I'm waiting for the Phone and Card folders to pop up in the MS file explorer and then copying some files to a folder on the Card. Everything looks normal on the PC screen. They show up in the destination folder and I can see properties of these files with the right mouse button as usual. However, when I'm opening that same folder on the phone with the Solid Explorer (or any other file manager app) files are gone. USB connection is still there, and I see new files/folder from the PC. After switching to the "Phone" folder and back to the "Card" on PC and navigating to that destination folder - I can see that new files are gone. Anyone could explain me what's going on? Stock Verizon Lollipop, no root.
Turned out to be defective T-Flash, which went Write protected to prevent data loss. Replaced it with Sandisk lifetime warranty. The same has happened after a while with another T-Flash... Hoping the batch was defective. Though it could be the fancy USB reader I'm using, it's died too.
Hi, I have a trouble with my G6 since I buyed it a year ago, I've never be able to transfer files to my pc, allways crashes my pc when I try to transfer the files from the internal storage.
Also I have tried to transfer the files to the SD card in the mobile with ES File Explorer but also I cant do it. Any solution?
You can always start with installing the drivers. Most times windows can handle it just fine, but if there are crashes, installing a driver pack can solve the issue
Also, use Driver Booster to update other drivers, you may be having problems with more internal stuff such as SATA controllers

Seems like your pc has some kind of problem. Try using the asus file manager for now: It creates a ftp server. You type the ip adress shown (on your browser) and then you get a file explorer. It's a good way to transfer files without having to connect the phone via USB
