If you can find the MetroPCS sbf, flash it. Or if the baseband is the same, the generic sbf should also work.

Process for rooting and and flashing a rom on my Droid X.

So, I'm coming from a Samsung Fascinate and a Droid 2 Global, and I'm getting my replacement Droid X in the mail today. One thing I was wondering if the root and flash process is the same as the D2G?

Yes youll need droidx bootstrap rather than d2 bootstrap to flash roms, rooting should be the same z4root...

Ginberbreak is outdated in rooting the X.
Pete's Motorola Root Tools can be used to root the latest OTA.

Droid 3 One click root is what I use for DX, on 602 or 605 builds.

Use an earlier version and don't update it. The last update killed it.

Is this a good ROM to use? And will it be ok to flash it to my Droid X. 4.5.621, 2.3.4?

Can AT&T XT1058 flash any other ROM without root to get wifi hotspots support?

Sent from my LT30p using xda app-developers app
I learned we can use recovery to flash stock ROM.
I did similar thing to my Xperia TL, after flashing Xperia T (international version), I was able to use wifi hotspot.
I'm wondering if I can do the same for MotoX?

In my case, I found that root (4.4) is key for everything on the AT&T stock ROM. Using Xposed framework combined with Moto Tether solves this. But you probably already knew that.
Thanks! Though, I'm looking for non-rooted solution
