Is there a way to get an update.zip of it so us with a mac can use this goodness?

I think marcusant's working on a Heimdall version as we speak.
I can't wait.

Heimdal dosent work with our epics on a mac
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA Premium App
Can't someone just do a backup of stock EF02 and just post that backup so you can restore it on yours? If so I could probably do it tomorrow

How about using Bootcamp on mac? Then you can grab a copy of Windows and use Odin to flash it..

There are many GB rom options. Look over on Rootzwiki and try Vortex rom.

I want CWM 5.8.x.x

It looks awesome, I've been sick of clicking the physical buttons over and over for a LONG time now. I know that there have been touchscreen driver improvements for use with 5.8+ and cm9, but what is the likelihood of us actually getting it? I really hope someone can make it work, I would be very thankful!

The touch screen cwm? Actually well get it once koush is finished. Our cm9 isn't buggy so it should work fine.
Sent from my Samsung Epic using CM9!
Yep it's being worked on. Koush said it was buggy and unreleasable. Though that was like a month and a half ago.
And we can support it after they fixed the touch drivers.
Ballin. Can't wait!

Cant you just flash the recovery zip?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using XDA
And if that don't work flash cm9. With nyan4.2 with it baked in then flash back to cm7 and check to have the recovery reinject itself after flashing the rom... then you will have that recovery on cm7... worked for peoples rom! Just note that flashing another kernel overwrites it unless you remember to inject it after flashing... cwm backups are not compatible with twrp

Honestly I don't know for sure, I can't think of anything that it would bork. Reboot recovery is now linked to the proper partition so that should work fine, I'm gonna flash the AOKP 34 here in a bit and then I'll see if just flashing the recovery zip works.

Risky how? Just reflash kernel if something doesn't take right and you will have the your recovery back...

I wasn't taking about your way is too risky, I'm taking about flashing the zip provided while I'm on CM7 is too risky. I'ma give it a go(your way) once I do some reading on user experience

Before you apply any update in your rooted tab, you need to unroot it always.

How to flash a kernel?

I just wanted to know how do I flash a kernel? I'm on an aosp ROM and wanted to flash a kernel before I applied an update to the ROM. Thanks!

If you don't know how to flash a kernel I don't know how you were able to install a ROM as its nearly the same process.

Yea you just flash it in recovery then typically wipe Cache/Dalvic afterwards. However if you're flashing a ROM update you're going to want to flash the kernel after that since ROMs contain their own kernel that would just wipe out the one you flashed prior.
