Hope everyone enjoying there HD2 with Android as I am having great time with it. Beside one problem its working great the problem is-
Once I transfer data from PC to HD2 in mass storage mode the memory card gets locked. I mean Phone does not respond very well and everything starts showing FC. Solving this problem I always have to restart the phone and most of the time I have to pull out the battery as nothing responds. So what could be the problem?
This problem occurs with only non sense ROM with sense ROM it works absolutely fine.
P.S- I always remove the phone after clicking safely remove from windows and then I turn off the mass storage mode in phone and I have already formatted the card but still problem is there.
Hope some one has solution of it. Thanks in advance.

Hi ALL, i have enable the ready boost service and i can see my sd card fine after resumn from sleep. However i have notice a problem which i after i resum from sleep, the SD card seems to re-write the whole readyboost cache again, i can notice the OS slow down during that period, and also the HD light keep flashing meaning it's working and spinning busy at the back. If i disable the ready boost, i notice no such problem after resumn.
Any one know the solution to this? or can you all check whether yours is doing the same?
BTW, i have update to sp1.....

I have an other problem too (experienced by many users in other posts): when I wake up the system from sleep or hybernate many times my sd disappear, so no more readyboost!
This morning I had the usual problem of sd disappearing so I decided to restart the system to have readyboost back on. It's been so a long restart! For many minutes the hd continued to work and the system was really slow!
I think Htc have to solve theese issues because it's annoying! Even if I'm sure that xda forum will find those solution much before!
I don't know what's going on, but my shift now has no drop out of SD card at all after sleep, i notice this after i complete re-install the Vista, don't know if that's the solution, at least the SD stays there now.
However i still have the hard-disk keeping spinning problem after resume when using ready boost, so i now have disable ready boost, until the problem is solve, i am happy without it.
Hello, since a few months, my Tomtom 7.916 crashes regularly. It has 3 appearences:
1) complete freeze, need to remove battery
2) distorted screen
3) crashing program: gives message that files from storage card cannot be read.
In case of 2) and 3), my HD mini seems not able to find the Storage Card anymore: both in settings and in explorer. After a soft reset, the card is back again. During sommer Holiday, I did not have any issue at all. The only thing I remember from that time is that at some stage, the storage card was known as storage card2, which was also quite annoying though, but that happened only once or twice: my issue now happens everytime I use Tomtom, sometimes once every hour, sometimes once every minute.
Any ideas are welcome.
i have faced the same issue i lost all my data and apps that was stored on my memory card , it happened after i was using the the phone while being plugged to the pc and i restated my phone cuz it was stuck (still plugged ) after i switched on back the phone to my surprise i cudnt read my installed apps it says either the app is removed or relocated but then when i went to the explorer file to take a look at my storage card i found it empty !!!!!! i lost all the data there
i have a 8 GB memory card so im guessing maybe the issue is from the card itself or that its from china!! i have no clue yet, up to now its working fine .
ok, I must say in my case, I never lost any data from the storage card. But indeed, it cold still be the cause of the problems. Are there any ways to reformat the SD card in order to obtain more reliabile performance? What did you do with it when you lost all the data?
Did another check:
when Tomtom is running, and I plug in the USB cable and choose the diskdrive option, I get exactly the same failure signature 1) 2) or 3) as listed above. So maybe, my HD mini sometimes "thinks" a data cable is connected iso just the charger. I know there has been an issue in the beginning with the HD mini not recognising when a charging cable was connected.
Any thought on this? Do I talk nonsense?
Try TTN7.917.9186_vga_black_cuckoo_NOBT instead of 916, had the same issues with 916 before!

Sorry, made a mistake in my first post: this 7.917.9186 is exactly the one I am already running.
Had the same issue with my storage card. Solved by reinstalling the same software again (7.916)
Does it only happen with tom tom? I haven't used tom tom today, but my SD card suddenly is gone ! This is the second time in a few months...and it really annoys me, it really looks like a bug in WM. Thankfully this time, after a reboot it works again....
I had similar effects also without Tomtom, but then the storage card became "storage card 2". And after a reboot it became "storage card" again. But with Tomtom I completely loose the card, and it comes back after reboot. So a bit different, but your case could have the same reason. I will try a reinstall.
anyone else with this problem? i decided to stop using wp7 after a couple of auto - hard reset after every 4-5 days of usage and countless hours of deploying side applications and dreadful unlocking chevrons and activation codes and etc... %@$%

i once had this issue, too: turned my hd2.7 on in the morning, had a look at the display and voila - all settings are gone to factory state (brown tiles, english lanquage, all my apps were gone, too....) first time i was shocked; but then i discovered that this behaviour was the result of the non-compatibility of my sd-card! i switched my device off, pulled out the sd-card, re-inserted it directly after pulling it out and as i startet my hd2.7 again, all settings, apps and data were back!!!!! seemes to me, that any sort of cache or ram partition on the card runs into full after a few days of continouus using the device, and then the card disappears from the raid-system, looking to the user like performing a hard-reset... it's just like you would have startet your divice without the card insertet then.
for me, the solution was to buy a stated-as-compatible sandisk 8gb class 2 card - now all my wp7 problems are gone away

edit: it doesnt work, it keeps auto reboot before even entering the home (tiles). and sumtimes when it gets in, it is factory resetted.

I have a little issue that annoyed the heck out of me. I got WP7 on HD2 and it's running perfectly fine (except for the known driver issues). It shows on the phone that it has over 14gb of storage. When i plugged the phone in, it will sync with zune and pics from phone will sync to laptop. But I cannot sync from laptop to phone at zune indicates that i have 0mb free and 0mb used.
At first I was using XBmod rom (pre-nodo) while dual booting and so i guess it must be because i partitioned the card and have android on there. Now that I am using just the nodo-blacksideseven rom (no android), I still couldn't sync with zune for the same reason. I was just wondering if anyone has this problem or has a way to get around this. Thanks!
Someone please delete this post .. I resetted the phone a couple times then also formatted the card a couple times but nothing seems to work. Then I left it to charge with the laptop and once fully charged it connects to zune for storage. Used it a little bit then plug it in and the same thing happened. But it does connect when fully charged .. odd but it works
Its an amazing device. But it reboots twice a day. I am thinking the problem could be External SD card. 80% reboots happens when I connect my device using USB mode to transfer the music and videos
Does anyone experiencing it and does anyone has solution or work around?

Sometimes it cause by bad contact SIM card. Try clean the card's contact points or replace a new one if your SIM card is many years old.
Seems android phones will try fix the SIM lost contact problem by reboot the device.
It might be a damaged sd card too, it's weird that it happens in that right moment when you plug the usb, try with a different one and see

I have the same problem reboot every time I disconnect it from the pc
My note reboots aleatory from nothing and sometimes really freeze with the screen off and I need to remove the battery to restart :s
Any idea? I really dont want to go change it with a new one because I need to make some kilometers to change it. Was the possibility that it is just software problems and if I flash a new rom it become stable?
The Note come with one old rom (I dont know what rom) and it make some reboots but dont make so many like now. When I connect to a Wi-Fi it say that was a update (16 MB) and I make that update. Then the reboots come with more frequency and make that problem of freeze with the screen of. Today morning I make a Wipe to data and Cache (in Recovery 3e) and reset it. Now it dont freeze but make some FC with the most installed (from markt and Samsung Apps) and sometimes reset with no reason.

EDIT:
I see now. When it is charging(turned off), when it stay "off" (without I see how go the battery) a little time, it freeze. Could be that that's happen when is on and when go to stand-by and it freeze. Anyone know whats happen?
