[INFO] [i9020] CyanogenMod 7 Nightly

Now that the Nightly Builds are back, figured their should be one thread were all of that is maintained.
First things, first. I take Zero, Nada, Zilch credit for any of these builds. For that we all have Cyanogen and TeamDouche to thank. This thread is merely a place to discuss all things nightly and link to download the Nightly Roms.
This Rom does not include the Google Apps and those you have to flash separately.
As always, Nandroid before installing.

UPDATE: A kang is an unofficial nightly that someone with a spare computer builds from CM's github. It is NOT AN OFFICIAL NIGHTLY AND ONLY THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING SHOULD FLASH THEM.

if it works on Android 2.3.1 then it'll work on CM7.
Edit: Installed it and it doesn't appear on apps menu. Market comments also says the same.

No wipe needed coming from crackflashers, but I guess that makes sense since they are really the same thing (same should apply to Alpha2/3 from koush).
Itried installing Car Home, it seemed to install OK but it didn't show up in the app drawer. I uninstalled and tried again with the same result.

As the OP seem busy, I will add the known bugs and what is still missing
Missing from usual CM features:
* Numeric battery indicator
* Status Bar customisation (colors)
Bugs:
* Some issues with GMail (fix permission or uninstall/reinstall seem to fix)
* Phone reboot during phone call (Known Gingerbread bug)
* Torch is not working.
* Some people report random reboots (Never had one, seem very unusual)

seems like gaaps have changed since last i flashed on my N1
correct me if im wrong but the GAAPS version universal DPI is what we should be using

what are u think dude Bionix Kernel gonna work? or it's same with
Crackflasher Builds?

Just flashed Nightly and Gapps with Rom manager over the Alpha 3 with Gapps and gmail is force closing everytime I use it.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. It freezes when trying to boot up.

clear the app data/cache for the gmail app. in main phone settings, applications, manage applications, all, gmail...

Any idea if Pershoot will start cranking out kernels for the NS?

Sadly, no. At current, he's only developing for the N1 and G2. I don't think he has the NS and don't think he'll build for a device he can't test for.

CM7 #26 signal lost and CRT animation related?

so, i was on rc2, wiped everything, cleared cache and dalvik and put cm #26 and CM7-Essentials-v5.zip and then rebooted.
all started fine, no 3g bootloop, but i noticed that CRT animations work and i can't get rid of it.
i saw on nightlys thread that people have posted "CRT animation are now off"
on all my previous nightlys my screen animation was set ON but actually it was OFF, weird but thats how it worked for me.
i got signal lost on screen off, both 3g and 2g. i think that could be related.

This is known problem of new kernel .We have to wait till it'll be repaired , hope soon.

yeah i know, i follow nightly thread, but they post that CRT animation wont work, and they dont have problems with signal drop. so i think it could be related. also need some posts for posting in nightly thread.

I have only problem in animation - not all live wallpapers works

Some of live wallpapers requieres opengl .

What does it show for you under Settings > About > Kernel? Is it the new one? (nFinity one)

Its a known bug with the default ones included. Download from the market. They should all work.

yes, its the new one.

For the lost signal problem you should try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12270217&postcount=3972 I am using nightly 28 and the above libhtc_ril from the post and this seems to do the trick.

yeah,from RC2 installed 29 + ril patch + test kernel from acro, wiped cache and dalvik ONLY and now all works well and smooth.
really nice combo cm7 + that new kernel
but still can't get rid off CRT animation

Google+ and MIUI builds (1.6.24 & 1.7.1)

Apparently the last two builds have been constantly causing me FC's in Google+ whenever I try to post anything.
I've flashed to Odin, etc etc. the usual business. (Fixed permissions, etc.)
The only build which doesn't cause this issue is build 1.6.17
I've tried both the MIUI.US & MIUI Android builds, and they both are in the same boat.
I've attached what I assume to be the logcat, it's what pops up when I report the issue and it goes to Gmail.
So back to 1.6.17, but just thought I'd see if others are experiencing this issue with the last to builds of MIUI.

Thanks for the log, just seems to effect very few devices. I posted yesterday how i fixed mine...

Ill move your post @miui.us.....letsd make sure this fixes it for you.....Google has changed .....it now has tabs? pretty cool tho
All I did to fix mine is:
Take "browser.apk" out of last weeks rom.
DELETE CURRENT BROWSER vie root explorer or titanium
move last weeks browser apk to the system app folder
change permissions to rw-r-r
Run cache cleaner ng on "old method"
Boot into recovery and wipe dalvik and cache partition
fix permissions
reboot
open titanium and clear user data for " browser"
Try browser.
google works fine for me....it does look different now..it has tabs
TAKE BROWSER OUT OS 1.6.17!
GOOGLE still working fine on new build of energy?.......If that dont fix it ill look at the log you posted, been kinda busy this morning and have to leave at noon

Have you tried changing your location features....make sure gps is off in settings....Logcat says its failing on location search.

I'm going to try this fix now. I'll get back to you if it doesn't work.
I tried it on Energy (1.6.24) and then (1.7.1)
is the fix on 1.7.1?

yea my FC's are only on posting pics/location or statuses. aside from that, commenting on other posts, looking thru other posts/circles all is well.

just tried a re-install complete wipe etc. did the instructions for the old APK etc. and FC'ing in google and google+
sigh.

Is pretty much everything from KK2 compatible with KK4?
I am thinking many of the mods already done can just be transferred just like they could from KJ3 to KK2.

There are slight differences, most of it is the same except for a few minor changes and bug fixes here and there.

They took it out on gingerbread, but it has been added in the the master 9 toggle mod.

Is there a master 9 toggle mod for kk4? I cant seem to find one past kk2.

[How To] Fix Wifi Problems in Aurora

Okay, I been using Wifi a lot lately, and as other people.. in Aurora I been facing Wifi getting "stuck" it just grays out.. and there won't be an actual connection... so, I did research and I installed WiFix Manager
Simple Instructions
Download and install application - WiFix Manager
Give root permission
Click Advanced Configurations and enter your country code (instead of US) - Find your code here or here
Click Change Country Code
Click Check For Updates
Click Install WiFix
Restart phone and you are done
I been testing this for 3 days, I left wifi on for hours and even overnight. Before when I wake up in the morning it would always be greyed out.. now it's always nice blue reception! Let me know if this fixes it for you and if it does and we get positive feedback maybe we can convince dzo to implement this fix into his ROM.
FYI, I am using 4.1a, but I don't see why it would not work in later versions.

I get way higher speeds in Aurora ICS 5.0 when using this app, it reminds me of the difference when i installed an Elora wifi-fix on an earlier version of Aurora.
My main problem in 5.0 is the touch screen problems, even after dzo's updates.

have you tried to replace the 1 wifi conf file for an older version?
I know that this fixed some wifi issues for many people including me. I can't remember the file name but it can be found in one the aurora thread in this section, I think.

I think this might be the one (refered to in Dzo's Aurora ICS for u8800 - General Discussion thread), but it has some issues. Disconnect and 3g doesn't turn on auto while out of range. If you have other tips, please tell.

yes thats the one m8.
for me worked like a charm when I couldn't get wifi in some roms.

unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. i have to go back to GB instead of ICS

By the way, wifi works perfect now without any app only the latest version of dzo's ICS ver5 update 9,
