Hey guys, new to rooting and mods on phones. i have a samsung fascinate that i rooted on saturday. installed rom manager, root explorer, clockwork and ti backup. the problem i am having is that when i attempt to flash the super clean rom from jt1134, by using the rom manager. it keeps giving me a few different error messages. on is E: failed to verify whole-file signature and E:Signature verification Failed. Through my research i tried dl'ing the zip form to the sd card, and similar messages came up. please help. Thanks
Not to be a jerk but you're more likely to get an answer from the General board.
Sorry for being a noob. Thanks for the advice. Like I said I'm new at this

Did you install CWM correctly (by using Odin and flashing the .tar file)?
If so, you can boot into CWM by using ROM Manager and pick "Reboot into Recovery"..
Then when in CWM, select Flash .zip from SD card..
Ya. I posted it in general and figured out that was the problem... Got it all fixed up and running super well. Thanks guys

I just used format system and format data in my wildfire with the clockworkmod recovery. Now when i turn on the phone i only get the bootloader screen. I thinks i deleted the system with this.
What can i do? Should i buy another phone?
You need to flash a rom onto it now.

Ok, do you know some tool like flashtool or something like that. I can't flash any rom because i always get this error: "E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip (bad)"
Thanks for answer
I solved the problem, i just installed cyanogenmod 6 of 60 MB...I think the problem is in my sdcard, when i try to install cyanogenmod 7 i can't because it has 78.8 MB and throws the error "E:Can't open /sdcard/update.zip (bad)".
I've flashed many roms and this has never happened to me before. I went to flash cm nightlies 73 and I get an E:Cant open /sdcard/cm_heroc_full-73.zip (bad) Installation aborted. I tried to download the rom again and flash it and it did the same thing again. I flashed to stock and then rooted my phone again and still got the same error. Ive looked online for a fix to this and couldn't come up with anything. Anybody know a fix for this? The recovery I used was clockworkmod 3.0.2.8, I thought it might have been the recovery so I went to an older clockwork recovery and the same thing happened.

I just D/l #73 and flashed ok for me,but I'm using darch's 1.7 amon Ra recovery so I don't know if it your recovery. Are you running Firerat's,If so you may have to resetit up from the instructions in the firerats thread.also if you are running firerats don't wipe your sd ext.,and make sure you have mtd partion setup with enuff room. Some one that knows more about it will speak up!
I know I had this happen to me a while back. My fix was that I had to download it from a computer, than transfer it over to my phone.
nm Saw you got it corrected over in the nightly thread. He formatted his SD card and it started working.

Yes sir everything is working great all I had to do was format my sdcard. I have no idea why the problem occurred but I guess that simple format fixed it. I copied most of the files that were on the sdcard and returned them after the flash and tested it again and its working still. Hopefully this information can help anyone who unfortunately will come across that problem.
Please help - flashing issues in recovery - "status 7 - failed to open ro.build.prop"
So I just rooted my friend's Nexus S 4G, and got CWM recovery 5.0.2.0 on there.
I downloaded CM9 to flash it but before I flashed it, I formatted absolutely everything on the phone; boot, system, sdcard, the works.
Now nothing flashes because of a "Status 7" error where it fails to find the phone's information like build.prop file and stuff.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Right now it's a Nexus S 4G with nothing but a bootloader and recovery on it.
hank you in advance!

Your trying to flash a from for the GSM nexus..... get the correct from and your golden
Sent from my AOKP Nexus S 4G
But I downloaded the ROM from the 4G Android Development Forum?
Is that not the right one for the Sprint Nexus S?
Well you need to redownload and put the rom on your SD and flash away. You can mount your SD in recovery but make sure you have a good battery in.

Well I've redownloaded the ROM twice now and I can mount in recovery just fine but it still gives me the same issue.
Guess I'll keep messing with it.
Anybody have any other ideas?
Hi guys,
I have tried to install to my p700 new kitkat custom rom, but every time i install it, it says: e: cannot write to /sdcard/clockworkmod/.last install_path.....
i have tried to make clockworkmod folder and put rom and GAPPS in there, i have tried, cyanogenmod, prime mod, slimkat and some other i dont remember... i also try not to care about that message and just rebooted to system, but it stays in boot loop.
I am starting to feel this phone hates me because i cannot install anything to this phone, i ever "accidentally" was able to install 4.3 cyanogenmod, but it started to be so laggy and my wife got frustrated with it...
Any ideas?
EDIT: my cwm is latest phillz

put rom and gapps in sd card wherever and install, what the **** where you trying to do?
ok, so i have tried to install many different kitkat roms to my p700 but all of those installs ends to an error: e: cannot write to /sdcard/clockworkmod/.last install_path.
If i just ignore that and reboot to system it just stays in boot loop.
edit: after install it say install complete but then there is that error too
