My little brother needs to unroot his HTC Evo Shift 4G so that we can return it to Sprint, does anybody have the latest ETA or the file we need to do this?

Does anyone have a .zip for the stock HTC #15 kernel? The most recent one? I asked in several threads but got ignored.

That broke my Wi-Fi.... It now says error underneath it and will not connect. And now I can't flash any ROM. Just takes me to the bootloader screen. WTF Did I just flash.
Can you do a nand restore?
Here's a link to one on a reputable dev's website.

Evo shift, broken wifi

I updated my shift with the new 4G radio file update, now wifi and hotspot are broken. Does anyone know how to fix it or get the original radio file to take it back? I tried finding it on here, no luck.

Does "any HTC device" include the Incredible 4G? We are having a lot of trouble with that one... Could use some help.

As long as the exploit has not been patched by HTC then it will work otherwise you need to dev-unlock and flash insecure boot.img then run HTC Quick Root.

The Incredible 4G is locked up tight. We can't get root via any exploit, and dev unlock was only available for a short time after release, then was removed. Nobody can get s-off, either. I bought mine thinking dev unlock still worked, then found out that it was revoked the very next day. Needless to say we need help rooting.
Thanks for the effort, though. If you have any ideas on the Incredible 4G, please share on the threads over there. We really need help.

I share your pain Captain. Stuck with the Inc4G myself with no s-off. Got it locked down tight, really missing my shift right about now
Doesn't work for the latest OTA of Evo Shift 4G. =/
There is a chance I might have done something wrong, but I have continuously tried different ways so I highly doubt it.

[Q] Rebloat zip for VZW variant?

Odd request, but I don't suppose there is a Rebloat zip I could use to flash all the crap back on my phone so I could get the update if I so choose. I got a little delete happy before and didn't think about not being able to update.

Sure, called flashing stock.
Are you talking about the stock ROM or the kdz tot thing. I'm a bit leary about that. Read about people getting stuck at certain percentages etc...
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Or what about flashing a stock ROM then flashing stock recovery again? Perhaps I'd be better off hoping someone turns the new OTA into a flashable ROM.
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
You can flash 100% untouched stock ROM and reflash stock recovery, or flash kdz with support tools. Personally, I would try the former first.. I'm waiting on the latter, or official 4.4+. Not worth the updates with no custom recovery atm.
Alright. Is there any chance you, or someone reading this thread could pull the VZW backup assistant for me? That's the only app I really care about because I get errors when I try to setup my device with it being deleted.

No one willing to pull that apk for me?

Oh.. One last question. Can you tell me the directory I need to place those?
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
You could have downloaded a Stock Rom and pulled the file out of the zip yourself, instead of waiting a day for someone to do it for you. I think that would have been faster.

That's a good point. It didn't really cross my mind. While I'm not new to rooting and romming I was spoiled on the gnex where everything was easy and there was little risk of bricking your phone. I'm not used to using my brain on this device.

Thats OK, it can be nice to have a unit that is difficult to brick as the Gnex is. But I would always keep a Stock Rom handy in case you ever need it.
