[Q] Start up sound - Galaxy S II General

Im not complaining, but my annoying start up sound when I switch the phone on no longer works. I get the animation sequence, but no sound!
I haven't done anything to the phone and am on stock KE7 XEU.
I am really glad, but would like to know what I did?
I will most probably jinx it now lol
Thanks.

I think when u are in silent mode there is no boot sound of i remember right
Try it out with loud mode maybe it helps

In the sounds menu, if system sounds is turned down in the volume settings. At least on the SGS1.

Problem with calling

Hey!
Got my S2 Galaxy yesterday, and today my father called me and said that it sounded weird when he talked to me. Anyone know what's wrong? Or do i have to change something in settings?
And it is like that every time someone calls me or I call them. That they barely hear me. And I talk loud. Do i have to change something in settings?
Thanks!
This is known to be an issue with noise reduction, when you next call try selecting menu then choose noise reduction off.. See if it makes a difference!
Bear in mind tho you can't keep it off for good unfortunately.I'm hoping for the new firmware update to fix this problem

Galaxy tab Bootup sound problem

Has any body noticed that the bootup sound is very low. I can hardly hear it on stock rom. Is it normal or it is only my problem? And does rooting causes this problem.
Thanks and regards

Hi I currently have Overcome ROM which has a different bootup but when I first got my tab the bootup sounded pretty loud, even after rooting it. btw I have GT-P7510 and not 7500
TBH, I didn't even know there was a bootup sound. :S

Finally I've found a solution for this problem. They have separated. System volume adjuster and the media volume adjuster( they were one thing on gingerbread ). So go to settings / volume and increase the system volume

I ended up backing up my apps with Titanium Backup and just restored the phone. So far it has been working! (with vibrate as well) Thanks for the tip though!

Is anyone else still having this issue. I'm having it as well. I'm running stock\rooted which i have debloated myself. Is there an app i removed that could cause it or and app I added that's causing the problem..What would cause your notification sound to stop playing in the middle. I wonder if deleting the stock music app would cause the issue...
Mine does this as well sometimes it just started happening randomly. Sometimes it works correctly, sometimes it doesn't.

Mine started doing this last night and has continued most of the time today as well. Haven't done anything yet other than change the tone to a different one and back to the other without any luck.
Mine does this too.

Volume keys. Silent mode.

Is there a way like on s3 to ger volume to silent by pressing volume keys? It only gets me to vibrate then have to turn vibrate off on menu

This feature was present in the original note but it seems it's been removed in the note 2. An alternative way which you may be interested in is simply by holding the power button and selecting mute.
Hope that helps.
Cheers for that. Its a real shame thats been taken away.

Indeed it was useful when on the go, muting the phone within your pocket without having to look at it. I'm sure some application out there could reinstate this.
Yeah I miss that feature as well, too bad it got removed

Aww it doesn't have this? wth are they thinking... where do you turn off the vibrate? all the way in settings? or in the pull-down notification menu? Thanks.

Phone defaults to speaker phone on answer stock unrooted Kit Kat T-Mobile

Can't figure out why when I answer a call the phone defaults to speaker phone on answer regardless if the toggle is lit or not. This started shortly after updating to take official KitKat update, never been rooted our anything and can't figure out why. Anyone have this problem or a fix? Thanks in advance.

No it is the speaker phone cause if I toggle hit the toggle to turn the speaker phone on it will continue as the speaker phone then if I toggle it off it will go to the ear speaker.

It ended up being GPS Status that was causing the issue, after clear cache, data and uninstall everything was fine.
