I have hacked my phone and successfully rooted it with the help of AlpharevX and the guide to root by Nejc. But after that everything is fine except onething. While the phone is charging and I turn off the phone then the red led continues to light up even when i disconnect the cable. And after that the power button does not work until i reinsert the battery... Earlier before rooting and S-off this did not use to happen. Please help!

Can be done in both ways.
When through hboot menu, the recovery.img along with android-info.txt are to be packed into a zip file named PC49IMG.ZIP and kept at the root of memory card.
When from fastboot flash the recovery.img is to be kept in folder where fastboot.exe lies and use it with android sdk. The command is already said.

I also suffer from an unusual problem. After installing clock work mod recovery and rooting ....I decided to factory reset my phone(God knows what made me do this). And When It rebooted then 2 things dont work the htc scenes and the setup app. It is not leading to any other problem ( I can live with it) but still I would like to remove this problem..... No matter what i do or how many times i restarted the phone these 2 things just dont work

The reason your phone appears to be bricked is it (CWRM 3.0.0.5) is a ext4 recovery image, and 2.2 is a ext3 ROM....
. If you find a 2.x version of CWRM you can flash it via the ADB commands and restore the phone.
OR
boot into recovery and flash the CM7 w/ gapps then download CWRM ( the free one ) and flash 2.x that way. You'll have to scroll to the bottom and select one of the 2.x recovery images.
If you can get into Recovery or into fastboot your phone is not truly bricked.
I have CM7 installed and Rom Manager, but when i try to flash an older recovery it says it cannot be flashed. How exactly would you flash the 2.X version via ADB? Thanks.

If you can get into CwM recovery then just flash my zip and use the 3.0.0.6 recovery that is included. Then make sure that you make/restore all backups from recovery and not rom manager. Rom manager is not compatable with CwM 3.0.0.X when it comes to making nandroids.
Thanks a lot, but i keep running into and issue at the recovery. I followed the instructions from your thread, and i got into the blue recovery screen, but it says
"E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command
E:Can't mount DATA:data/recovery/log"
And the only option to restore is the Applysdcard:update.zip and that fails

So, that is the stock recovery. You need to choose the 3.0.0.5 version from "All ClockworkMod recoveries" if using my zip. If that wont work, try sending a new recovery via fastboot or terminal emulator.
You can set up adb/fastboot by checking out the link in my sig and using the command (make sure you rename the recovery to recovery.img for ease of use)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
or you can try terminal method by placing the recovery on your sd card and renaming it recovery.img Then open up TE and type "su" then the flollowing
Code:
flash_image recovery recovery.img
If that doesnt work, then let me know and we will find some other things to try.
Whoops haha. Thanks for all the help it's working great now

In /system/etc.
That's only if you had Tenfars recovery installed beforehand though. Might want to make sure your downloading the right version from RomRacers thread. Also make sure your downloading the one one the right side (the CWM flashable one) and not the fastboot version.

Just reflash ROM Manager CWM in the app, and use that to flash Aura. Should work. Rom Managers version works, most just prefer RomRacers.
Have you tried installing RomRacers CWM via fastboot? Instructions in his OP (the .zips on the left side).

I had the same issue..
Download ES file explorer and go to settings..
Select "Mount file system - Mount /system as writable"
Delete or rename install-recovery.sh.
Boot into fast boot (power and volume down) press up volume when u see fast boot.
Plug in usb.. start fastboot
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
You will now have a working CWM.
install-recovery.sh cannot be renamed/deleted because the file system is read-only
so how do i delete it? >.<
nvm got it
how can i update my clockworkmod have tryed through CWM app which updates it but after reset it goes back to old one have tried wit unrevok wich froz on waiting for root and have tried wit terminal which never worked any othr way.
Download cwm Ingram file, then from your PC use fastboot.executive to flash, or else put image in root of SD and use terminal to flash it. Search the forum you will find both methods. Using rom manager to flash cwm is not permanent method. It just boots into recovery and use the 'update zip like ' file to temporary boot into another recovery. It just make use of cwm files in memory card to boot.

I found that after flashing or repartitioning cwm using hd2 toolkit, i am unable to flash any recovery (tried touch recoveries, cwm 5.xxx downloaded using rom manager etc) via cwm zip flashing.
Always got error, bad headder and if i reboot the phone after that, it will also erase my current recovery too...( got this when i tried to flash touch recovery)
Do any one know whats the problem?? It comes not from a bad recovery.zip or recovery.img, as i had flazhed same before...
Though i dont know what cause it, i found a solution, i just changed the recovery.img comes with dft recovery flasher, which flash recovery to phone via usb flasher mode, with the recovery.img from touchrecovery flashable.zip, flashed it, got working touch recovery, and now i can flash any recovery.zip from phone itself via cwm.
But i never know why cant i able to flash some other recovery.zip from phone, if i use original recovery from hd2tool kit. Any body have got the ans? Pls let me know whatz the cause.

Are you using the newest version of HD2 toolkit? The newest one includes recovery 5.0.2.6
I have used the toolkit many many times, and never had one problem.
Yap. And it flashes it. Ie 5.0.2.6.
But rom manager got 5.0.2.7
And touch recovery rc 1.

Maybe you have some bad blocks in the recovery partition.
I am running CM7.2 and wanted to take a backup of my phone. But the phone wouldn't boot into recovery if I turned it on with vol- and power, but stayed stuck on green android instead.
But if I boot into CM7 and select the option "boot into recovery" it goes into recovery and works fine. Please help
Weird. Flash cwm from rom manager again and try.

I have tried flashing the latest CWM from clockwork(5.something) as well as 3.0.1.4... both show the same issue
Furthermore if I flash any TPT it doesnt go into CWM and the only way for me to then recover my phone is to install Mile high moldovian pie TPT+ROM which boots the phone and then allows me to go into recovery and flash CM7

U tried flashing an alternate recovery? Last option in rom manager
Sent from my Supernatural Blade
Try to flash a other ROM, or go to ROM Manager and re-install CWM (I'm using 5.0.2 and have no issue). If the problem is still happening check md5 of the files (ROM,CWM)
Ok guys thanks anyways.
Is there some other way to repartition my phone so that I can install ICS?
If u have the default 220 MB system partition then u don't need to repartition. If not, u have to get into recovery :what: and flash a tpt with tpt helper from Google play
Sent from my Supernatural Blade
Yes but when I try a TPT the phone refuses to boot into CWM so I cannot flash a ROM. Then I have to flash a TPT+ROM (MMHMP which has 128 mb system partion)
UPDATE: Tried installing CWM from fastboot as well... still cant go into recovery
UPDATE 2: Tried the windows flashing technique. Same thing.
Flash the Gen2 v10 TPT if you already are Gen2. You don't need recovery for that. This way you can install ICS but you still would need to boot into CWM for it.
Sent from my Blade using XDA app
I think there are no alternative recoveries for blade.
Are u facing this issue recently or is it there from first.??
I can't suggest anything except one, flash the stock recovery from CWM. Then check whether u are able to go to FTM mode by holding volume down and power. If yes, reflash CWM recovery from rom manager and check again.

Lol. Cwm and rom manager both are developed by Koush. So,not surprising.

Yes I can get to FTM mode on flashing stock recovery but not CWM
im not sure if amon ra is compatible with the ZTE Blade but i can assure you that if an alternative recovery was available for the blade it would be in rom manager since the nexus one has amon ra listed there.

try the fastboot method for this to work you will need to fastboot and adb drivers they can be obtained by installing the android sdk
Steps:
1) Boot the phone into fastboot by holding power on + volume up while connected to the pc via the cable (leave the phone in this state for now)
2) download clockwork mod recovery image from the website http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
3) go to the android sdk folder which is called "platform-tools" and paste the downloaded recovery there
4) shift + right click to open a windows command terminal in the same folder as the pasted recovery
5) run this command fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-blade.img
this will install a recovery for you i had a problem similar to your and this was the solution that fixed my problem

I assume that flashing from linux makes no difference. I could successfully flash from linux but it would still not boot into CWM using vol- and power
should I try amon ?
i use linux to so if you already tried it will not work mate sorry for giving windows instructions but most people use windows
as for trying amon ra recovery i found one that works on the zte blade so far credits go to its respective developer not me mate http://android.modaco.com/topic/328806-recovery-ra-recovery-for-zte-blade-oledtft/ i never tried it but it says it works on the zte blade OLED & TFT versions
Also try
fastboot erase recovery
And then
