The last few days I was looking at the flyer port for desire hd and it is going great. So I was wondering why our devs haven't ported it yet knowing that it is similar to the kingdom port so same tweaks,hacks and drivers and also due to the fact that the htc hd2 has similar hardware to the desire hd. I hope we can see this port soon.
Only have Roise better with Landscape mod, others not good as Kingdom now because they were made for Table, not for a phone
I think sbryan and daekin are looking to port the flyer sense already. Give them time sbryan needs to get his hdtv fixed. If you didn't know already sbryan is one of the devs in the dhd beatmod flyersense port and him and daekin have worked on roms together. In fact daekin eclipse rom is a continuation of sbryan previous vivo port.
Please can we put all questions in q&a.you got me excited thinking its been ported already

First off, wrong place to ask. This should be in the Q and A section.
Second, honeycomb would be possible to be ported, as it has been ported to similar devices like the Nexus One and the Evo 4G. I'm surprised no one has done it yet. Anyways, it's not really worth porting in my opinion until the 3.0 AOSP source code is released, making for a far better port.
Is anyone working on a thunderbolt port to the HD2?
I believe that it would give us HTC Sense and gingerbread for the first time on our devices...

Yeah there are many ROM's out there now with 2.3 and Sense. Also the Thunderbolt doesn't even run 2.3?
So the htc flyer looks nasty good and was wondering if it is possible to get a rom port similar to the xoom port or the galaxy ports. Sense would be banging on the iconia. Let me know if anyone is working on this and if i can help.

The Flyer is running Gingerbread IIRC, not Honeycomb. Most folks here don't want a downgrade, and there would be an issue with device drivers anyway.
The Flyer has very different hardware, including a digitizer overlay on the screen to enable their ePen to work properly. We don't have that so half of the OS wouldn't even work right.
Greetings to all! The other day there was news! In the network be leaked the new OFFICIAL ROM for the HTC Desire S based on Android 2.3.5 with HTC Sense 3.0. Accordingly, HTC Sense 3.0 does not need to optimize and change resolution... Are there any advantages in this for our wonderful HTC HD2?

Well what caught my eye is on post 18 he says it comes with the newest stock kernal. This might be the kernal we need to get sense 3.0 running without all the glitches. Hopefully a developer will see this or someone more knowledgable then me and comment on it. Im just a lonely soul that likes to mod my phone so i have no direct knowledge of what we will be able to get from this exactly. I do know our device can run Desire s builds so I'm atleast thinking their could be a port down the road. Would be great if there was. I'll have to go back and read a lot more in detail about it first because i made this comment without reading all of it first, i was to excited.
We need the sourcecode of the kernel not the kernel itself. And we need it from the original desire and not the desire s. The desire s has different hardware.

You're right, hope some dev will port it!
That ROM is obsolete. That's a sense 3.6 ROM.
One the portal, someone has begun a port of sense 4.0 forreal though... unfortunately not for the HD2 though

To be honest I doubt Sense 4.0 would be usable if it ever was ported to the HD2, so I think maybe interesting to play around with but unfortunately nothing to seriously look forwards to
I think the devs are having a hard time with the new 4.0 software. :/

I know a bunch of other Devs/Chefs that are apart of the HD2 Android community will probably do the same.
The ROM of the new HTC one V seems really interesting to be ported to hd2 (rosie is 800x480) ...
Ice Cream Sandwich is having problems with drivers. So, ICS with Sense 4.0 would require a new batch of drivers which would take more time to solve bugs etc.
