How do I flash froyo beta with out root and clockworkmod???

Hello, I am not rooted and know nothing about clockworkmod. (I have tried rooting numerous times but no success. I'm thinking drivers) I would like to know if its possible to flash it with my epic being stock? I have searched and have turned no results about flashing it from stock. Everything refers to rooted. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yep install the apk, push root it reboots and you are done.

No but I am not sure if you can install it without a pc. Are you using the drivers from samsung?

Yes I downloaded samsung galaxy s drivers from here when I tried to root. Never for them to work even with 2 fresh installs. Thanks for the info on the z4root, by far the easiest and fastest way I've ever rooted before. But ya I have samsung drivers.

I am afraid I won't be any help there. I haven't flashed clockwork yet because I am not sure how easy it is to remove (noob) so I am waiting until Froyo releases. Unless I can't find an easy method to install it and uninstall it.

Can't install apps HELP

I can not install apps ( whenever I try it says download unsuccessful I have wiped and everything what is the problem

Rom Manager question

I just updated Rom manager and noticed that there are now 2 backup options for us....the 2nd is called Droid X (2nd-unit). Anyone have any idea what its for? I looked at the changelog, but it didn't say anything about it

Install incompatible apps

Hello
If an app in the market will not download because it is incompatible. Can this be by passed on a rooted phone?

I managed to find a apk file. How can i attach it to the market, the version i found is old and i want to get updates. I did try Titanium but the app didnt appear.

[Q] Installing 4.4.2 via OTA

When the download finish it says reboot to install, when the phone gets to recovery mode installing the update it says error installing update, what should i do?

Are you on 100% stock MK2 unrooted? If you are on a custom ROM or have a custom recovery with root it will not install the zip as it checks to see if your phone has any modified files.

Did you delete, froze any apps that came with the phone? Did you install hotspot or anything that modified the system?

I havent deleted any app, the hostpot is the original app from sprint
But i still dont know why it wont update

If you really want to update to kit kat then just odin mk2 .tar and do a fresh install again and just try the download again.

You won't lose your data. A stock tar install does not erase data unless you do a factory reset.
