Galaxy Tab retail stock image

I just got a replacement tab from best buy today and did a nandroid backup before installing the TouchWiz update. If anyone wants that image let me know how to format it in away that is flashable (I don't know how)
I'm guessing this would help the people who want to return to stock to get the official update.
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App
I could use this but I don't know much about formatting the image - is it a zip file? I haven't used nandroid yet.
pershoot already has this in his tools pack. Here http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/?paged=3
I am interested, I hope someone can help us
Require shipped retail stock rom (backup)
Had recently bought a retail version t, but lost the backup since i flashed a touchwiz rom from development section. If someone can kindly share a backup of shipped retail firmware!
steps:
download the root zip file in internal memory http://lts.cr/bqf
apply in recovery(power plus left volume key>recovery>apply zip)
download rom manager and install clockworkmod recovery
backup the firmware from rom manager app.
share the backup (sdcard>clockworkmod>backup>date)
I installed this image which I beleive is the Samsung released OTA updated with TW. Seems to be working for me. I've been running it for a week now.
hc-3.1_touchwiz_ux-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip
Search for it in your favorite search engine and you should be able to find it.

[HOW TO] install new 38R OTA if you have modified custom lockscreen already

Before you do anything else, make a backup. do it now.
don't even read anything else until you've done that.
seriously. stop reading. make a back up. you reading this means you're getting ready to start flashing things when you don't know if it will work.
download the modified script OTA for 38R from
here
courtesy jaggy
download
CMKeyguard.apk
from
http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=06718662084607714036
(thanks to ethanmars)
and follow the instructions on the side of the download page
after you follow the instructions regarding cmkeyguard, as written on it's download page from the link i provided,
reboot into recovery
flash the modified script OTA for 38R
at this point, i flashed a superuser zip (i use supersu, but superuser would probably work. i flashed this 'just in case'. i don't know if it works if you do not flash it)
i also flashed the 61 gold AK kernel for the 11S here
AK is a great developer. probably the most responsive one from whom i've heard this dude
anyway, that worked. before trying to flash 38R, i was running 33R with ak, and a modified lockscreen using this method thanks to this guy.
happy hunting.
this worked for me.
this worked after other methods would fail. i had to go through multiple restores.
my problem was that i was running the 'custom' slide screen on stock 11s, but modified as per
this thread
by this guy
i had been getting multiple 'cmlockscreen' failures, preventing it from booting properly.
Damnnnnnn i did not realise your thread.... I did a clean flash of 38R instead..... But still great work for putting this up!
After a half day war with this update yesterday, i've succeded by doing almost the same you say. by the way, thanks for the tips.
after 2 hours try fixing yesterday, I found the solution thanks to Vomer post, flashing throught fastboot the system, boot and twrp img...

Hi there! Today i had the OTA finally on my way but i had the modified lockscreen. I then came across your post and i tried to follow your step but with no luck:
1) the link to the OTA are just member profile but i think i can find the modified ones in the "official" thread in here
2)when i tried to perform the action listed in the page you linked to the CMkeyguard.apk i cannot delete the apk from my phone and i don't know how to do it from the PC. I tried then to flash it with the .zip provided by NunHugger (the creator of the modified lockscreen) but still no luck with the original update.
there is a way to perform the ota directly from the updater on the phone or i have to do it from the TWRP with the modified one only?
Also, reading through the thread of the lockscreen, i've read that i can perform a flash of boot.img... question is where to find it?
EDIT: I found the boot.img into the toolkit, so if i perform a flash it should be all back to normal without loosing any data, am i right?
Thank you!

ah, you're right. i fixed my link to the post with the modified script.
in order to delete the file cmkeyguard.apk, you need a file browswer with root access. i use es file explorer (among others).

Nice, I have to try this later on. I noticed that after having installed CM11, I can no longer flash touchwiz (I deleted my back-up, as I no longer needed it...), why I probably have to start all over and use Odin to re-install stock and then install multi ROM on top of it. I will look into it once I get some time over.
When you are saying "stock firmware", could this be any customized touchwiz ROM?
PS the link to the MultiROM decription does not work, here is the correct one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011403

yes, every touchwiz rom
I have to recompile cm kernel to support multirom. I'll do it later. It depends on Valera's decision whether support t900 or not.

When trying to flash the recovery with Odin there's an error message saying that the MD5 Hash value is invalid, recovery_mr_t900.tar.md5 is invalid.
I recompiled recovery and refreshed links. try again to flash.

Odin is still diplaying the message that md5 is invalid.
Maybe a file w/o md5 would work?

I renamed the tar file by taking away the .md5, that worked.
The boot with the stock ROM went fine. However, I tried install my cm11 by restoring a backup and got stuck, or so I thought it actually came to life after having looked a SOD for 5 min. so I guess it went well. Next problem is that when I'm on the MultiROM boot menu it doesn't give me the option to select the alternative ROM, but makes the countdown and then boots internal. There is no possibility for me to select my alternative ROM as the blue strip does not react to touch. Well, I hope you understand what I mean...

It might also be linked to the fact that the recovery is trying to validate the ROM as a v2awifi, while it should be v2wifixx on the T-900.
I assume the recovery.img need to be modified?
---------- Post added at 10:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:59 AM ----------
It's actually as simple as touch mode that is disabled in the bootmenu, and you have to use up/down keys to select and power key to confirm your ROM choice (I bet it says this in the OP already...)
Now when that is cleared out it seem to be running great, but as I need to test drive another T-900 Rom I have to uninstall it as I need original TWRP to flash that ROM, due to the naming convention.
After all this gave me the opportunity to test the uninstaller that also worked well
.
So the only issue is the Recovery naming convention the T-900 should be v2wifixx.
This is how I came to have the v2wifixx:
TWRP 2.8.0.0 downloaded from http://www.techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/v2wifixx where I selected openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.0-v2wifixx.img.tar and flashed it with Odin 3.07. This is the most common version for T-900 owners, as they followed the posted instructions HERE. It's also the version for which Valeria ported the cm-11.
I dont have t900, so i dont know these details
v2wifixx or v2awifixx?

v2wifixx is the one. (no a after the 2)
But as I mentioned, apart from the small glitches you mention in the OP everything runs smoothly, and what a relief it is to quickly transfer between different ROMs. Great work, I just wished we had a decent touchwiz ROM for the T-900... Thank you, Great work (but I'm getting used to it ) With this, the only thing I had wished for is a 64G internal SD, rather than the 32G I have, unfortunately you can't perform miracles Bonuzzz.
I've been looking into MultiROM before, bet never saw the need for it, but after this experience I have also installed it on my HTC One (m8) which allows me to test ROMs quickly and smoothly, what a difference it makes.
Updated 10/18/2014 08:40am EST
Temporary work around:
1. backup you TouchWiz ROM* (TW),
2. install cm11(s) prior to MultiROM and make a backup,
3. recover your TW, and
4. proceed with MultiROM install after Bonuzzz's instructions in post 1
Once a fixed recovery is available, simply flash this new recovery image and you're good to go. As of that point you can update cm11 nightly's on the go.
HOW to Updating/changing ROMs
Primary ROM (Internal)
- Flash ROM's ZIP file as usual, do factory reset if needed (it won't erase secondary ROMs) (note: don't forget fixed kernel)
- Go to Advanced -> MultiROM in recovery and do Inject curr. boot sector.
Secondary Android ROMs
- If you want to change the ROM, delete it and add new one. To update ROM, follow these steps:
- Go to Advanced -> MultiROM -> List ROMs and select the ROM you want to update.
- Select "Flash ZIP" and flash ROM's ZIP file.
* I installed Bonuzz's Custom ROM 1.0.1 (for the P-900) and flashed his MultiROM kernel (see post 1) on top of it. And with no other modifications it seems to work perfectly well. I have only encountered a single minor issue, auto screen-rotation didn't work, but mine is always locked in landscape anyway. I froze the TouchWiz launcher and using Google Now Launcher instead, it couldn't be done w/o freeze, and also fixed an issue with incorrect cropping of my wallpaper. After all everything is good, and as always a great performance by Bonuzzz. Thank you/arc

Am I correct to assume that the only way to install cm-11 with gapps is by flashing a backup under MultiROM?
Or, at least until you can get the Advanced/MultiROM/List ROMs option corrected, since that seems to be to only place where you can flash a .zip on top of an existing ROM, and this install option only allow you to make a simple flash, or have I missed something?

[ZIP][C6903] 14.6.A.1.236 Custom. DE, Pre-Rooted, XZDR-LB, Xposed Framework

Hi members.
As the title says i created a flashable zip. I am a little late, but haven't found any time before to create the zip.
I did flash the zip myself. I did a dirty flash to keep my data and still all is working fine.
Maybe anybody still needs this.
Flashing this you will get:
Stock C6903, 14.6.A.1.236, Customized DE 1277-0154 R2D
SuperSU 2.46
XZDualRecovery 2.8.21 for LB with patch to mount system partition
Xposed installer 3.0 alpha 4, xposed framework v79-sdk-22-arm
Everybody who is downloading the zip should know what he has to do!
Please use twrp as custom recovery to avoid errors.
You should do a backup of you current configuration for safety.
To flash this you have to boot your custom recovery, format system, cache and dalvik.
Format your data only if you want a clean flash, otherwise leave data untouched for a dirty flash.
After that flash the zip and reboot.
Wait a while because first boot takes some time.
It would be helpfull if anybody who has downloaded and flashed the zip could confirm that it is working or not.
Download --> https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bw5LFMK1hMKmdnAzRUlVeGd0Rlk
Thanks for the share. After a really long boot animation it is now booting up and seems to work fine.
Cheers!
Excellent thanks. Totally forgot to wipe anything before flashing but booted up with no problems into .236 and root, recovery and cwm all working 100%
Hey,
thanks for the share. I have a 6906.
Do you think if I flash this, it would work? Id rather not flash a new firmware as I don't want to lose anything.
Thanks,

Samsung Galaxy Tab E T377P Nougat 7.1.1 Stock and Rooted Firmware

CLOSED
Hello, I managed to get root on the new 7.1.1 firmware for the T377P. I had a problem getting any supersu zip to take and also had no luck with CF Autoroot either. I did however have luck flashing magisk though TWRP. I used the TWRP 2.8.7 modified from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/recovery-samsung-tab-e-sm-sm-smnu-smp-t3302935 *Dont forget to leave a thanks and feedback as well*
Then after you have TWRP installed flash the magisk files ill put in the drive folder as well. Reboot and install busybox and finished.
For even easier installation I made a TWRP boot and system backup that can be restored from TWRP as well just unzip and place in your TWRP folder with other backups and just restore. Its already rooted with magisk 14.0. I used 7 zip to zip so i would use it to extract it as well. I also have the theme store installed and integrated into the launcher but its not functional until i change a file or 2 I just haven't had the time yet but I will also upload a flashable zip after i finish it. The theme store works but Samsung recognizes its a tablet so it gives you a device not supported screen I just have to change the device model in the system files.
Also I put in the drive folder a stock firmware just unzip and flash through odin 3.10.7. its untouched completely stock.
The stock and rooted are both 7.1.1 SPR_T377PVPU3CQI4 firmware.
STOCK AND ROOTED ROM. MAGISK FILE TO FLASH AS WELL
If i forgot something or posted incorrectly i apologize Im not much of a dev yet just a tinkerer that stumbles onto stuff occasionally so I haven't created many threads I just try to share when i find out something I haven't seen posted. I welcome constructive criticism too lol. Have fun any questions feel free to ask and as always enjoy
If I helped you out feel free to hit thanks
I ALSO PUT IN A FEW OTHER USEFUL FILES IN WITH THE FIRMWARES. FEEL FREE TO DOWNLOAD THERE COMPATIBLE WITH THE T377P. THE UPDATED MAGISK AIO ZIP IS IN THERE AS WELL
Almost complete theme store and UI upgrade
ok I almost have the theme store working. The only issue im having is they fail to install. im thinking its the overlay folder setup incorrectly or its in the floating feature file it does not have the changable UI in it. Another thing i did was modify the Android N UI. It now is the same as the phones so no split screen tab junk. I never liked the split screen.
Anyone with experience feel free to help out I just need the themes to install. it stops at completing download then followed by fail.
As you can see it even gives us the rounded google search bar.
In this folder i put in the updates build prop and theme support. Flash with TWRP both files then reboot. After you boot up it will say Android N is updating then it will modify your tab to a phone look with the round search bar. Still need the themes to finish installing so any help would be wonderful. see pics below
Any devs with theme store experience i have a small but simple problem im sure. Need assistance getting themes to finish installing. Thank you in advance
Please help me, i have a hard bricked SM-T377P, if you have one in hands you can help me to unbrick mine, it will take only 2 minutes! Here is my thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/help-sm-t377p-hard-bricked-debrick-img-t3711889
Thankssssssss!

Yes I have installed this using the TWRP and flashing Magisk method but for some reason, many of my apps now force close or freezes but it is rooted and pass safety net check. Trying to install Xposed also brings up an error but if I read somewhere correctly, there is conflict with Xposed and Nougat. I haven't tried the TWRP backup rooted rom yet.
I installed via twrp backup, and installed the audio mod and downloaded magisk 16,works great, except the audio sounds fast and high pitched, like Alvin & the chipmunks, even with all effects disabled any idea? Also, with magisksu running the show, why is the supersu apk in /system? I can just delete that right? Thanks! =)
Update: I reflashed without wiping data and did not reflash the audio mod and that fixed the problem there! How do you install themes?
Post deleted
I know this is an old thread but has anyone run into the issue of google play services no longer working after flashing the stock ROM? Any idea how I would fix it? I've tried uninstalling all play services and play store updates as well as wiping cache and storage of both. I've also wiped the cache and storage of the google framework.
Do You Have Any Tutorial, Help PLZ...
I know this is a old post but thank you.I have been beating my brains with how to get texting and phone on this tablet.....you have solved that all for me.THANK YOU
i just flashed with twrp and bammm no majisk
