They have butchered our new Evo3D in this picture.
They have replaced the top with the Samsung Epic 4G ** If you zoom in you can see that they have pasted the top of the phone over it. **, and the Status Bar seems to be from the same Epic 4G

That's the Evo 3D, but you're right, the top of the phone is actually the Samsung phone. Wierd... probably photoshopped this way because the original ad was going to feature the Samsung but they made a last minute switch and this was the easiest way to do it.

HTC's hipsteriffic invitations for a June 24th event in London contained precious few clues (DUDE'S WEARING A ROSE), but the Economic Daily News is now reporting something totally reasonable: it's for the Hero and Lancaster, HTC's presumed next Android phones.
Curiously, the paper refers to the two phones as one device, in two versions differentiated only by a keyboard.
The HTC Hero will be available in two versions, with and without a QWERTY keyboard. The model with a keyboard will be named HTC Memphis, or HTC Lancaster for sale by AT&T exclusively in the US for six months starting the third quarter, the paper indicated.
It certainly looks like there'll be a bit more than that to set the devices apart, and for the sake of variety, I hope there is. In any case, we'll be there. [Economic Daily News via Digitimes]
http://gizmodo.com/5278510/report-htc-announcing-hero-lancaster-android-phones-on-june-24th
Looks like we won't be getting the Hero, or we have to wait until after the 6 months AT&T has it exclusively?
that phone is UGLY!! the mytouch 3g or what ever their calling it . looks way better
The version without the keyboard will probably be Hero, since the Lancaster is the one for AT&T.

how about this one?
http://ow.ly/b3EG
Anyone noticed that at least the Lancaster version has only a 240x320 display?
If this is also true for the HTC Hero version, it would be a clear disadvantage.

Very cool, would love to see some specs on this
So tempting. I'm still in love with my Nexus One though.

Pre order links to this empty Nexus S page:

exciting!
the "original" cache disappeard?
mistery
PLEASE let this alleged hardware issue be the addition of a trackball/trackpad and a better casing than cheap plastic that gizmodo reported.
Let this be a standalone phone and not a Galaxy S with Stock Android.
i think i read on giz that it will be plastic. think i may wait for nexus 3

word...
Google needs some damn designers...lol. People with vision...the Nexus S/2 should looked like the HTC ONE concept some design student mocked up...with a few additions for usability.
You guys know Google doesnt' actually design phones right?
They basically call up sony/htc/apple/samsung and ask what new platforms/devices they have coming up. The respective companies show them a line up, google bids on them, and then they tweak it slightly (color/finish/very minor hw changes).
Cool, so rumour was true I hope it will be released soon...
I really hope it lives up to the nexus name. Not just a galaxy-S running stock android with an unlockable bootloader...
yay! coming soon with Gingerbread. 4 inch screen with trackball please.

Looks to me like the green is a little off... are you using the color PMS 376C aka #A4C639?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 running Cyanogenmod.
I'd slap one of those on the back of my G2

Correct about the green being off or correct about you using those colors?
BTW I would definitely get some of these... if I wasn't broke. They design looks great though! Just need the right green and they'll be perfect!
I'd order one. If it's not too pricey.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
i'd get some too
EDIT: BTW, I think themeing some after sports teams would get you a bigger market. I'd buy a Dodger Blue one with the LA in the middle without a doubt.

OP i have a suggestion. ive been thinking of having a custom made android sticker myself. can you come up with an Android sticker looking like the pedo bear sticker? i think it would look cool and funny. i definitely will buy a couple.
Id take some for my hardhat and welding hood. Piss all my buddies off who are Iphone babies.
As long as the stickers come off clean without requiring Goo Gone... I'd take a few
i would be intrested also in a few depending on price
edit: apparently someone already beat you to it
AndroidStickers
They look nice!

Sure Ill take on too. Screw Apple.

How much?
PM me if that's better for you.
I got a few ideas to run by you too.

It's a FAKE "PSP" phone. Why they would use a fake/knockoff phone in a promo shot is beyond me.

Aren't they just showing off the types of devices you can use with the overdrive? You know, like a white psp...
A pearl white PSPgo? LAWL!
Yeah, isn't that a white PSP go?

And my lols have been delivered.
I wonder how long the battery lasts, and if they'll charge a $10 data fee for it.
I really like the silver antennae on the clip board. Do you think it's 4G too?
Guys, the little box in the middle shares WiFi to devices like that. Lol

It's a balloon streamer. And yes, Sprint balloons TOTALLY get 4G.
Good Detective work there champ, you really got the inside scoop.
My wife has a wonderful 4G hotspot and she isnt in the pic.
Pics are worth a 1000 words folks and open to alot of different interpretations. Its an ad....
I was having dinner with one of my buddy and he was showing off his APP from his IPHONE and said that he can see everybody's real time location by typing in the phone number. Of course being me, i said "Yeah Right". So he type in my number and i was shocked that he was able to pick up my location within 10seconds. I asked what this app is called. His respond was...HELL NO I WON'T TELL YOU LOL...so now i am so eager to find out if anybody in here know this APP Name? Anybody?
Don't worry, this is impossible. Since you were having dinner with him, he probably just showed you the GPS position of his phone.
Have him use a persons number that isn't around.
Actually..that was my first thought, but i was wrong he showed me everything, but the name of the app
Its called iTrack and its a prank app. Location is the iPhone users current location
Sent from my evo 4g
I forget ... I think latitude? will find all your gmail friends .. I tired it for like 2 seconds, cause didn't want the wife to know where I was... yes I had an iphone at the time, wife had a droid
edit.... might be this ? http://techpp.com/2009/12/24/how-to-track-a-cell-phone-number/
Completely illegal, not impossible tho. He proably didnt show you the name of the app because you could google it and find out it was a gag & you just got duped!!!!
Google latitude does the actual track real time. If enabled on both devices. HTC hero won't work with it. Tried and tested.
