I got a vega today for half price,
So wanted to try out the honeycomb beta rom,
For some reason I could get adb to work from the USB driver zip,
But the drivers for the elocity a7 did work and it installed as android adb device,
Trying to run the windows bat file, kept getting device not found,
I should have tried on my MacBook but instead installed z4root and rom manager,
Rooted with z4root and then ram rom manager,
Installed clockwork recovery and click on the option install rom,
The vega rebooted and installed vegacomb,
It's working a bit sluggish at times,
Now trying to install another rom but rom manager doesn't reboot into recovery when I click that option,
Is there another way to do this???
Or can't I downgrade from vegacomb..
Problem sorted,
Uninstall rom manager and reinstall,
Working fine now

Hey Folks,
something strange is goin on with my SGS. i installed JG5 by MoDaCo, but i have some Problems. It shows the superuser whitelist app, but whenever i open a root app, it still keeps requesting root, though its already listet in the whitelist. Also i tired to install Clockworkmod via ROm Manager. That worked for one time, now if i boot into recovery, clockworkmod recovery is gone....
what im a doin wrong?
Okay, i found a kernel update that did it. seems like the MoDaCo rom hast a problem with su and stuff!

Hi all, i just recently rooted my i9000m (baseband version I9000UGJL2) with psneuter on superoneclick, easy stuff, i came from a desire z so in comparison the root process was much easier, anyways i
went to rom manager, flashed CWM, reboot into recovery, and voila, stock 3e recovery, no reinstall packages option, and apply update.zip not working. What's wrong?
nevermind, searched it on forums, used CFroot
Had the exact same problem, you will need to do this in order to make it work. If you dont have it already download Root Explorer from the Market to apply this fix.

Superuser not work
ROM Manager saying i need to root my phone. Please help completely lost.
Open superuser, hit menu, toggle permissions on, reboot.
And get rid of ROM Manager
Need More help didn't work
I don't use CM, but if it comes with the newest version of SuperUser (3.04 I believe), then that's likely the problem. Uninstall it and install an older version.
R&R SU with one in this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1297612
I too had thought I lost root access w/ latest SU (3.04 I believe).
Installed 3.0 in above link and everything back to normal now, i.e, root apps functioning normally.
Just be careful not to update app through Market to 3.04; I haven't found a way to stop it prompting me to update. Can't detach from Market via TB because SU doesn't appear in apps list.
i'm on 3.4 with no issues but ive lost root flashing other roms with 3.0. weird
Do what HipKat says.
I started testing this ROM (FIXED ICS Fusion Final with Aroma + Kernel Compact V1.2.6). And something strange has happened. The ROM is rooted put the app Lucky Patcher v2.7.5 does not install, start and end the process restarts the phone without completing the installation. Titanium Backup already installed successfully (it requires root to install) but Lucky Patcher v2.7.5 does not install. I tried other versions without success.
I tried to install other apps that require root and also had no success. It's strange because it is the message that the app root permission received, but before completing the installation simply restarts.
The Chainfire 3D, Link2SD and Lucky Patcher v2.7.5 installed and did not like said above (message displays permission for root and begins installation but before finishing restarts and does not install). But Titanium Backup, Root Explorer and Terminal Emulator installed without error.
To be sure I tried all the possibilities through which I could do my little knowledge, I did upgrade to the latest ROM version (Version 1.6) and moved to its kernel (kernel is duos.tar end-devenloped for Hell_lock) and still keeps restarting the apps that quoted above.
I undid downloaded the package root and unroot the Millan.SIS through CWM and I ran the unroot, restarted, ran the root, rebooted, tried to install any of the applications I mentioned again and the system could not install before performing a reboot completion of installation.
I can not understand why some applications that require root and install other not. The worst is that just the Link2SD and more accurate than Lucky Patcher not install.

Thanks, tried but unsuccessfully, tried supersu, but also without success. I was enjoying the ROM, but I think I will have to try another.
I do need to wipe cache/data for re-installing a rom, and now all works fine.
Hello,
recently I have flashed my ze500kl with XenonOS. I would like to go back to stock rom but I have couple problems.
First of all - my bootloader is now locked. I wanted to unlock it via SuperSU, that is already installed on my phone but when I try to open SuperSU App I see this:
"SU Binary occupied"
So I found tutorial on how to fix this issue, but the problem is i can't uninstall SuperSU, I can only disable it in App options.
Then I tried to install TWRP via App from Google Store, but offcourse my phone isn't rooted so I can only download TWRP installation files but can't initiate installation via App. I downloaded TWRP on my PC, opened ADB in CMD, installed it there and rebooted my phone. TWRP isn't loading and my device stuck on ASUS welcome screen.
I tried also WINDROID but I get lots of errors, so it's not working for me either.
Please help me unlock and root my phone. I really want to go back to stock os.
Thanks!

For anyone who struggle with the same issues.
Use ADB and twrp_2.8.7.7.img. I don't know why, I don't know how but this version of TWRP works.
