Please can somebody help me...
I was using Font Installer to change the font of my U8800-51, i choosed one font and then I choosed reboot, it didn't rebooted, it was with the screen turned off and the buttons (return, menu, search, home) turned on, it was taking a long time, so i tried to turned it off, but it was frozen. Then i pulled out the battery.
Now I turn it on, and it doesn't pass the boot animation, it frozes on the first entel logo (my phone normally turns on and appears the entel logo in bad quality and then in a good quality, after that is ready).
When I turn on pressing vol+- it shows a pink screen... (i tried this before and it showed me a recovery screen where i could update with a update.zip, by the way i didn't touched anything there)
When i charge it the battery thing is ok, but i can't pass the first boot animation...
What can I do? Please somebody Help me. It's a U8800-51 (it's rooted)
What if I change the recovery files? I mean the recovery.img, or the boot.img or something... will it work?
Please somebody help me...

If you don't have any imp data and ready to erase everything on your mobile.... try updating your stock ROM.
Oh thanks , but... i can't find any stock rom for the U8800-51...
And How can i update the stock rom ?

Unrar the file place the dload folder in the sdcard, then push both volume up & down + power button at the same time and then let the magic take place.

But itsn't a problem that the recovery that i see is only a pink screen and nothing more?
No my friend, when you do that with the sdcard inserted containing the dload folder, instead of going into pinkscreen it starts the installation process automatically.

OhMyJx: Do have issues with the 3G connection? I have entel and I've lost 3G, at applying this rom.

Si, pero no es un problema para mi ya que solo uso wifi.
I wanted to try and it's true, i've no 3g connection.
En otro post había leído que habías comentado eso y decidí probar y tienes razón se pierde el 3G.
Sin embargo creo que se puede reparar de alguna manera. (no sé cual) xD

So i installed 2.3.4
so i was looking for a rom for this phone and i hear that theirs a new update and that update is 2.3.4 for the u8800-51 so once i installed i had some problems with the data and wifi and bt. so then i ddnt like the update of the u8800-51 and i tried to downgrade back to 2.2.2 and it was installing it and once it finished the phone did not want to turn on so now i dont know whats wrong with my phone any help????????????????????

The I9000t is one of the southamerican models. I'm from Puerto Rico and I'm trying to get my friends phone rooted and such, but I haven't been able to find anything. All I've managed to is root it, used superoneclick. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can install any I9000 rom on it using odin just look for any rom and a modem thats for I9000T I'm using ClaroPR's Gingerbread UBJV8 with UBJV6 CSC file to not have any Claro stuff on the phone

Any stock Rom and odin is the flashing tool, you need it for flashing stock roms look here for roms :

Can i flash any custom rom to my i9000t?
I,ve had this S1 almost a year now and the phone keeps randomly turning off and the battery is dead within 5-7 hours with minimal to no use.
I would like to flash to an ics rom.

The last CM Stabe is CM9, CM10 Nightly Builds.
As far as I know CM9 is not compatible with I9000! Please be aware of that - but I'm not sure... Anyways not all I9000 ROMs are compatible with i9000T!

I had to use a Separate thread cause its a "Specific carrier that not so many Users will download so Why mixx it with all the UNIVERSAL ONES""
Besides Being the Largest Carrier in mexico it uses it specific Ril and Base band configuration / This particular Modem i am not sure it will work with Any other carrier so Why Mix it and Risk some one flashing it by mistake
And If you Search you will get NO one doing this for TELCEL MEXICO.. ok ?? GREAT

If the Kernel you are using has no issues with STOCK MODEMS i see no Reason why it wouldn't work
basically is just the PURE MODEM.bin with (All the RIL files) from the STOCK TELCEL ROM

So far so good installed on 4.1.2 ELLA, Philz Touch Recovery 4.35 and Perseus 30/01 Kernel, better connection, with ELLA modem it took ages to connect a call, now it is a really quick connection, keep up the good work, thanks a lot!:good:

It may be pretty much the same, as far as I can see, but this one was extracted directly from TELCEL's ROM, so I would think it is branded for our Mexican carrier, being that just my best guess.

Doesn't matter which ROM you extracted from If the MD5 is the same that means nothing changed... They don't change the RILs for specific carrier... Only for deferent modems.. In fact sometimes they use the same RILs different modems

So there is your answer, it is the same, which makes sense, since both modems (the one for your post, and this one) are for latinamerican carriers, the main difference would be for us final users, who do not have your technical skills, to have them compared, so it must be a feeling safe sense, to flash the modem extracted fron our carrier, that would be the final, and may be the must important difference.

actually Mr kamawala I have to disagree it can have the same RIL but the actual modem can be optimized differently for what ever the carrier needs you can see the size difference from your file and mine telcel modem . bin is much smaller in size I invite you to download it and compare them your self :thumbup:

What you compared is two zip files which contains the modem.bin.. the zip file you edited just compressed bit more than what I originally posted probably due to different programs we both used.. Look at the screen shot below it's the same modem.bin file with same size, same modified date and same MD5...

Qué onda yo estoy usando últimamente omega rom v42 y desde la versión 39 he notado que mi servicio de Internet telcel estaba muy lento y que muy seguido me quedaba sin señal y realmente no sabía porque, hice wipe y volví a instalar todo y he actualizado para ver si se resolvía, pero lo, seguía igual, así que acabo de instalar este tweak y ya les contaré si noto una mejora en el servicio de Internet y señal.

Telcel sucks, that´s the only reason, in Puebla I had no more than 2mb, in Guadalajara between 1 and 1.5mb, and been using european roms for quite a while, can´t tell you now cause I´m in the US with no data plan, went for an iphone 5 and got over 12mb in 3g
what I recommend you is using any euro rom without considering the modem and keep it, and take your phone to telcel and tell them they suck

If you have routed your cell install a cm7 rom with patch 720p is the highest resolution possible for shooting and playback

I have a 9505 with carHD Rom 4.4.2 with baseband
I9505VJUEMKE. With this modem all well in 4.3 but switched to 4.4.2 and it causes problems WiFi and 3g. Being online is still falling ... The 3g connection ON tells me error.
My brother also has the 9505, has the android 4.3 and no problem taking the same modem as mine.
I'm from Chile and the modem you use is the default, but I think the change of firmware change something ....
They lend a little hand I would appreciate it because the connectivity issue has me sick to the point of giving back to my cwm backup.

I9505VJUEMKE. Con ese modem todo bien en 4.3 pero cambié al 4.4.2 y me provoca problemas de WiFi y 3g. Estando conectados se cae... El 3g estando ON me dice error connection.
Mi hermano que también tiene el 9505,, tiene el el android 4.3 y ningún problema, teniendo el mismo módem que el mío.
Soy de Chile y el módem que uso es el default, pero creo que al cambiar de firmware algo se cambio....
Se me echan una manito se los agradecería ya que el problema de conectividad me tiene enfermo al punto de volver a mi backup den cwm.

Installing a custom ROM is optional. If you want to install a custom ROM then you may but it is not required.
