Put your phone in bootloader mode and flash the ROM again .
when i start my mobile, it is showing... "OS update has failed, please re-install it" and background is ASUS wallpaper. so tell tell me how can i put it to bootloader mode or how can i flash the ROM? please help me.
The phone is appearantly in bootloader mode, just use the original RUU to flash the ROM again.
If it won't work, you might try connecting to the phone via mtty and using some command (lnb?) you might be able to download the firmware to the phone manually. And reboot once done.

It's not BL.
No way, do not flash P565 with USB, it's dangerous.
Download ROM in abi format and flash it via SD card. Rename ROM to "GM5something.abi" and turn PPC on with DPAD DOWN. If it ask for USB cable, connect it, and do not do anything, just wait.

hey frnd can any one plz help me....
i have ported GT540 2.3 SwiftDroid CM7 Project Mur4ik and clean 2.3.1 in my lg gt540.
how can i back in normal 2.1?
plz help me...
bcoz i want to sell my phone early....
thanks.....
Downgrade from 2.2.1 (2.3) to 2.1
1. We go in and write FastBoot:
- Fastboot.exe-w (This command does XP)
- Fastboot.exe erase system (cleaning section System)
- Fastboot.exe erase boot (clean partition boot)
- Fastboot.exe-w (To be sure)
2. Flash a rom with kdz updater
got it from 4pda, it should work.
It will not work: many have problems after first time use fastboot roms. It looks like that only small percent of owners can flash GT540 with stock ROM and in that case phone work. Many can flash but phone stuck at boot logo. If you use fastboot 2.1 it will work normally
^^
so i cant downgrade my phone with ROM that have no fastboot?
Try, you cannot loose anything. Maybee you will be in that few pwercent of users that downgrade works.
Just use a fastboot rom, I sold my silver GT540 with a fastboot rom on it then got a White one, to be honest, Most phones from other manufacturers have fastboot enabled anyway, so I don't see it as a problem
Jack
Well i'd recommend using your backup you made using clockwork recovery
I hope you made one
ohh u m not take backup of orignal 2.1..
have any one backup
plz give me link of bakup 2.1

It does not cause a problem to downgrade to 2.1 without fastboot, I have done that several times. All you have to focus on is the following:
after doing "fastboot -w" turn the phone off. And DO NOT TURN IT ON AGAIN. Remove the battery, sim and SD. Hold the camera + power and then plug the phone to usb it will run into download mode. Run the KDZ updater with CS Emergency mode and flash whatever 20A rom you can have. Before the update ends, it will reboot and ask you to insert the battery. Do not unplug the phone until the KDZ updater gives you the ======= finished ====== message.
I hope this helps.
first, try restore with clockworkmod the backup of the 2.1 rom and after flash the original rom with kdz
guide here
i have followed all the steps but when i connect phone to the computer and try to run the kdz updater i get phone not found and ideas whats wrong

You are the man, thank you sooooooo much, two weeks on getting the downgrade working and this works a treat.
After downgrade I was able to get into the unlock menu and was able to enter the unlock code, I am so happy for your post.

yeah just turn your phone off and plug in your usb, hold camera and power for a bit and it should connect. It may still be black screen but do not worry, then run kdz. I can tell when it connects by have my computer open on windows 7 and you will see it flash up on the left hand side. Other times I hold power and home key? The trouble I had was just horrible but just be patient.

i tried to root spica and install recovery, partialy sucseed when i try to boot phone it shows samsung logo and thats it,i can enter recovery mode but it wont let install any rom through it.also i can enter download mode, but cant flash anything with odin-it detect phone start timer but green line wont apear, tried few times to reinstall drivers, tried different usb ports, different fws but nothing seems to work.
help please.if someone can dirct me to step by stem tutorial how to fix this
we cant help you without full information about what have you done. more information needed. also, have you tried to restore your previous firmware by recovery?
Odin needs to see the phone to go green. Uninstall the samsung modem and the other driver. These drivers you can get only when phone is connected to computer in download mode. Than you can delete the driver, restart the computer, install driver and move further. Also don't connect the phone while odin is running cause you might have problems in working with it further, meaning that it can break the driver installed in windows which will take you back to the step mentioned before.
If you still have problems, contact me.
Good luck !
Hello everybody,
i´m new here and have a great problem on my Galaxy S I9000.
I hat Android 2.2 installed on that device and wanted to install Cyanogenmod by this guide (cant post links)
The Problem i had was i couldn´t get into the downloadmode or recoverymode (Volume up/down, home and Power button)
So i made it with the Android SDK (adb reboot download) to get into the downloadmode.
Once I was there i made the part with the heimdall flash --kernel zImage.
In the end it said the Installation was succesfully and rebootet the Phone. Now it always reboots and only shows the "Samsung Galaxy S I9000" screen and then restarts.
Notice, i didnt do anything else instead the things above (no rootet phone, no flash or something like this). I also had problems installing Android 2.3 with Kies on this device so i tried it with 2.2.
Is there a chance for me to get the phone back to stock? If i connect the USB to the PC it sounds like it detected the device, but then it restarts.
If i only stick in the USB cable to the PC without booting the device a round loading screen apears but stock.
Odin also dont show up anything. Is there anything i can do? Thank you.

For USB Connection issues try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27205737&postcount=4571
For recovery try to Flash Rescue kit for i9000 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29331775&postcount=1
Sounds like you flashed kernel only, so the proper system is missing.
Try to get into download mode again, and flash a complete ROM (kernel, phone, csc, database, pit512, repartition...) using Heimdal or Odin. Search sammobile.com or the forum to get the ROM/version you need/want (if stock is your choice, use the 3-files-firmware).
If you want to install CyanogenMod, you'll need to get into recovery mode and install the CyanogenMod.zip from here.

Good evening! I hope you can help me.
I flashed LineageOS 14.1, but I wanted to go back to EMUI. I made all the wipes and tried to flash different stock firmwares through a forced update (volume buttons + power button), but it never worked. At that point, I read about a guy in this forum who suggested to create a flashable zip with Huawei Update Extractor: I followed the suggestion and tried to flash it with TWRP. No error was given, but when I tried to restart, TWRP told me I had no OS installed. I thought it was strange, so I tried to restart anyway. That's when I got in rescue mode. I can't get into the recovery and I can't use fastboot. What rescue mode shows me is:
RESCUE MODE
Attention!
Please update system again
Update User Guide:
*link*
*android avatar*
Error!
Func NO: 10 (boot image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
Pressing the three buttons, I'm able to force an update. The problem is I can't find a firmware that doesn't get rejected. With Lollipop firmwares, it starts to install, but it fails at 12%. With Marshmallow ones, the installation process doesn't even start.
What can I do to make it work again? I'm very sad because this phone was gifted to me a couple of days ago and I already messed it up. I don't even know how to turn it off.
What can I do to get in fastboot mode? At that point, what should I do to flash the stock firmware? Or maybe do I need to find the first stock firmware ever installed into this phone to make the forced update work?
Please, I need help. Thank you in advance!
P.S. The phone's model is ALE-L21. I live in Italy, so I assume it's a European version.
Did you managed to fix this?

Not yet, but I'm working on it. I found out that the device is recognized by my PC if I follow these steps:
1. Connect the phone to the PC and wait for it to go in rescue mode;
2. Wait until the notification LED stops to blink;
3. Disconnect the USB cable;
4. Press volume - and power button;
5. Reconnect the cable.
At that point, the screen turns black and the phone is recognized as "㌲㔴㜶㤸". I installed the drivers and now it's recognized as "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0". I should be able to reflash the partitions and make my phone work again, but I'm still trying to understand how to do it correctly.
Any help is appreciated!

fastboot detects your device when you plug it into your computer?
I mean, if you run "fastboot devices" it shows your phone?
I've had this same problem but with an P8 Lite 2017, after flashing some ROM that supposedly was the stock one and trying to flash recovery I ended up with my phone bootlooping into rescue mode, I was able to "bypass" this thing rebooting my phone like crazy, seriously like after 20 reboot it finally booted into the damn ROM and I never touched the phone again. Sometimes when the phone ran out of battery and tried to power it on the phone booted into rescue mode and again after some reboots it booted to Android but now I want to install a custom ROM or at the very least root this damn phone so that's why I'm asking you if you have solved this, if you do then probably if I follow the same steps I would be able to fix that screen, hopefully.
If you are able to flash something start with flashing all recoveries your update.app has, maybe that's the problem (at least in my phone it is).

No, it doesn't show anything if I write that command...
I guess mine won't ever boot into the rom because it seems like there's no system installed. I made some researches and found out there are some softwares that let you reflash the partitions IF the phone is recognized as "HUAWEI USB COM 1.0". I'm still trying to figure out how to do it correctly though. I feel like if I do something wrong, then my phone won't probably turn on again.
In your case, you should be able to flash a custom rom without any issue. You just have to be very careful and inform you as much as you can: I don't want your phone to end up like mine?. Anyway, it seems pretty hard to go back to the stock rom, so think about it before you flash a custom rom. Also, make a Nandroid Backup is very important.
Hello! all. Im really nervous. THis never happened before, i dont know what to do. I was using an Custom Rom Miui Eu. And i decided today to went back to the official one for good. And when i was flashing the firmware in Miflash, the phone never reboot and MiFlash showed as "Flash Complete" in green color, so i removed the usb and the went all black and there is no way tu turn on the picture, i cant go to bootloader or fastboot. When i connect the phone to the PC. My PC recognize the phone as Qualcom 9008. But i cant flash and do anything. What can i do? i tried replacing the auth .elf file but im still having the error in MiFlash. The only way to fix this brick is doing that "test point" thing ?
First download the latest firmware and the correct one (global, chinese or whatever you had) for your device because you can only install higher version firmware using flash tool.
It seems your phone already is in EDL mode, hence there is no need for test point method.
Try another usb port. Try using a different PC. Change the location of the firmware folder to a shorter path like C:\ and try to reboot the phone a few times and then try.
