LOL.......this time I did mean to quote you.........whats with all the iphone threads are the iphone forums not working lol
Never seen Xtrakt?
i quite agree with the original poster...
with the exception of Xtract, Need for Speed and Boom blocks the only other graphically decent (by which i mean 3D based) game i have seen is Call Of Duty 2 and thats a pig to play because it is not fully touch screen optimised and the lack of hardware buttons is a pain on the HD.
Yet as stated the hardware on this any several other HTC devices allows for great graphical acceleration.
so come on game devs lets have some!
maybe after microsoft marketplace comes out winmo users will get more iphone like games, which should be later this year i think

fpsece was one of the reasons I really wanted a HD2.... what other phone can you play playstation games at full speed with multi-touch onscreen controls. Just so you know... you need the supporter version to get multi-touch capable version. It's worth it if you have a HD2, though.
still, the lack of NATIVE games is present. Sure the games can be emulated but hey, is that really all there is? If I look at my girlfriends iPhone and what she has available and if I then look at the quality it really pains me that WM is such a pain in the ass, sometimes. Not that I'll ever switch to Apple, Apple is evil, but what developers for WM deliver to us is really poor, regarding games!

Sadly the game support for the HD2 is not great. It's made worse by the fact that a lot of the games don't work well on a capacitive screen with it limitations when compared to a resistive screen + stylus.
It's also odd that Android SH!Ts all over Windows Mobile when it comes to gaming. Not sure why because there are some. Add that to the general restrictions of MS and WM and it's not looking good for WM.
I'm selling my HD2 and got myself a Milestone in the interim. I'll miss the huge screen and TomTom but Android is lightyears ahead of WM. And as a bonus I can also have more than one active sync account with push enabled....YES!
There is no limited games on HD2...
Caver
Experiemnt13
Crayon Physics
G-Invaders
Galaxy Hopper
Hunting
Kiwi
Pocket Mini Golf
Prince of Persia
Sonic Racing
Spinballs
Splinter Cell Conviction
Tripplix
Worms
Flight Commander
Tower Defence

I can't help but to point out prince of persia's graphics are horrible and choppy. ugh! most of the games on that list is decent with crayopn physic, exp 13 and flight cmdr being the best in terms of picture quality wise.

Ive seen worse, and its still perfectly playable, despite it not looking the greatest.
I agree that there isnt a huge amount of choice when it comes to games that run natively on windows mobile. But of what there is available... a higher percentage is quality compared to other platforms.
I can add to the list above:
Spore
Tiger Woods Golf
Zen Table Tennis
Xtrakt
Celeris Virtual Pool
Warfare Inc
Mini Golf Wacky Worlds
Pangya
Electopia Demo
Boom Blox
Dragonball
Crazy Taxi
Deer Hunter 3D
Monopoly Here and Now
Need for Speed Undercover
Assasins Creed 2
Warcraft 2
Shootin Gallery Lite
Asphalt 4 HD
I had a supporter version of fpsece, it's really great. But I have played all the PS1 games that I'm interested in the past, so I still feel the lack of games

Hi all,
for those who are expecting HD games I found out that nvidia will soon release a android app to show up games and apps specially optimized for Tegra 2.
_http://www.nvidia.com/object/tegra-zone.html
Best Regards,
Bastospn
Thanks for the heads up. Looks interesting. The price of some of the games in the screen shot are $14.99!!, I hope there are some reasonably priced ones!! I don't like paying that for a pc game, let alone a mobile game!
want now!
It does amuse me at how the CES reports are treating Tegra2 as completely new when we already have been playing with these devices for 2 months now.

Chinese forums also do this, but with score like 3300+ , if i follow the dates on the reports, it pretty much looks like parts of the info, is based on my implementation of the fs optimization.. as they also went from 1800+ on Advent Vega to 2300+ with the new nvidia graphics fix + 3300+ on it now probably with the fs optimization... (Advent vega is the only one close to our Folio with MMC based memory, where Elocity has nand which already is faster and gives them 2700+ scores without fs optimization)

Tegra2 is new enough to be presented at CES. Only now we start to se what could be achived with this plattform! It's more about showing the user experience, than the hardware itself.
We miss some HD games for android, I hope this arrive soon!
We are still waitting for good HD games on Android. Google should hurry up, now that tegra 2 platform is hitting the market, we would expect more HD content.
At CES 2011 some good titles were showed but this doesn't even compare with the hundreds or even thousand games on Apple Store.

this is soo true... Apple can easily get the majority of tablet market having some a wide range of products supporting the ipad..
Lets hope someone finds it needed to get a leak out on the market, if the 3rd party vendors do not finish soon.

I am afraid that tegra2 tablets despite being faster than ipad may never become a success or surpass it. One thing Google could do is to launch by themself some awesome titles. This often happens when console titles are made exclusively for a given console. If Google's wants to win this they must not rely on 3 rd party to do their job.
The same should apply for nvidia

i dont think ipad wins much comparing to android..
- no flash yet
- no widgets
- limited apps (apple policies i would call it)
- 1Click2Run method processing, background tasks handling is not very appreciative of non-approved applications.
- No google
- No real iOS customization, limited..
but i think the whole user interface will be most important, and not only the faster tegra2, which still don't do that well comparing to DesireHD for now :-(
my tweak might have pushed some limits, but 3D on DesireHD as example is much better supported already.. although screen is smaller, senseUI runs pretty well and is a well designed..

Nah, ad mock up. That game showed will still be 2.99.
With honeycomb we should see more polished apps and games. Especially with mostly Tegra 2 behind it.

I tend to agree with you! But for most people Apple still is consider the best buy as it work best out of the box!
Guys from Apple are soo clever, they don't just delivery everything at once, they softly improve their products, bit by bit. This way in a couple of years we had 4 or 5 versions of iphone and a dozen versions o iOS. This is how they make money! This money pays for new small improvements and them people pays big bucks for this improvements.

i have tried the interface of an ipad, and yes it feels fast and responsive to an action done. but for me its not all about a fast response, limiting my other options for that cost.. but yes, apple do know how to sell a product.. not many cares about multitasking so why include that in the early ones, so its easier to sell a "fast" frontend.

I don't really understand the question! When you refer to HD2 are you speaking about the mobile phone from HTC?
Of course HTC will have nvidia tegra 2 phones available soon, but sure they won't call them HD2, but something else instead.
If you are asking if you can by your own means do it (DIY)... putting a HD2 phone to work with a nvidia 250 chipset I will say you are dreamming

Add Monster madness to that one.... but you need a Build.prop fix,ill put it in FolioMod thread, to see the game on Market (it says 2.3 only)
Sorry guys, but after googling and posting on the official thread, I'd like to warn others regarding CF3d.
Sure it 'works', and the concept is good. But on the SGS2 the only game it will allow you to run (that you otherwise woudln't be able to run) are:
- Fruitninja THD
- Pinball THD
- Samurai HD
At 2 or 3 quids (forgot how much I paid) it's just not worth it on the SGS2 at least for now. I was expecting NOVA2, Backstab, Galaxy on fire 2, the SIms 3, etc.
I bought each only to have refund because no driver would work, and at best you get missing textures everywhere.
Avoid or stick to the free version.

Yeah Fysi has played GoF2 without issue, in fact he didn't really comment on the CF-3D part, rather on the gameplay...
Do you have all the plugins, and required shaders?
yeah...plugins is a must have item in terms of changing suitable chipset for each and every type of games......
Looks like basically there isn't a list of games that FULLY work because quite simply only 3 or 4 do.
Shame... too late for a refund, too.

I agree that there isn't a killer-app that makes Chainfire3D a requirement, but I'm happy with the investment.
The ability to tweak OpenGL settings per-app, not just Tegra games, with the texture and FSAA controls adds a lot of value for me. The plugins for individual shaders, PowerVR and Qualcomm chipsets, plus NightMode and the Market patches...
Chainfire's €2.99 isn't hard to justify here.

Well, the term "hard core" can go a lot of different ways. If by hard core you mean THD games or basically games that show off your tab's graphical prowess... you've got most of the top ones already. There are some nice older titles like Roboto HD that look great as well but aren't graphically as strong as games like Shadowgun or 9mm.
If you want games that look good and actually work like they're supposed to the ones I added are nice options; It really just depends on the type of games your looking for. I generally blow through 40-60 games a week and can put any others I find in the thread bsweetness suggested, thanks for that btw there were some there I haven't tried yet.
I picked up my tab 2 days after it dropped on-line, and my biggest gripe so far besides color depth has been lack of compatible games. There are a lot out there, but I was surprised at how many don't play nice with ICS or with tablets in general.
They like to tout the "power of gaming" with quad-core devices, but they don't talk about the lack of quality or compatible games do they...
