Strange behavior started today. When I have the GPS turned on, and the location featured on in the camera, then the camera seems to stutter. In other words, the image stops-and-starts and the "buttons" are unresponsive.
When I turn of the location feature in the camera, then the image is fluid and responsive.
Any ideas?
Update...
Still having problems. I narrowed it down to the gps being the problem, not the camera. When using navigation or maps the screen flickers/refreshes constantly, as it was when using the camera app with “location " enabled.
So, something is making the gps refresh or stutter, any ideas? I hope it's not hardware

The N10 auto-brightness feature doesn't work right, as everyone knows. It randomly dims and brightens in an annoying way. I'd read it was a software issue - something to do with JB 4.2 - so I tried two different auto-brightness apps from Google Play, both of which get good ratings, and to my surprise I had the same problem with both of them. When the brightness depends on my N10's light sensor, the screen keeps dimming and brightening randomly. The app I have installed (but disabled) now is "Custom Auto Brightness". I wish I could use it because it looks very good.
The fact that the problem appears regardless of the software suggests to me that the problem is in the hardware - there's something wrong with the data put out by the light sensor. Does anyone have any info or insight about this? A workaround would be so nice.
Does anyone know of a way to adjust the speed at which the sensors react to motion, for rotation.
Also, like when using the phone, it takes forever for the sensor to recognize that you removed it from your head so you can use the screen. Would love to speed that up.
Also would love to speed up the time it takes to wake the screen from sleep, takes a couple seconds, entirely too long.

Screen noise/flicker upon turning screen on
Upon turning on the screen, there is a slight flicker/staticy looking noise. Toward the bottom of my lock screen. It's easily replicated, but it doesn't do it every time.
I just want to know if it seems like a defect or it could easily be fixed by an update. Motorola might not even know about it yet.
Yeah mine does it sometimes, but not all the time

I'm getting that too.
I filmed mine in slow motion when this happens on it and it appears to be an android software bug. It flashes the home screen then pulls up the latest app or vice versa. its so fast it looks like its just noise though.
you guys sure you didnt turn on the option for it to make a noise on unlock?
Are you guys or anyone else having this problem while being rooted? Because, I only started noticing this problem after I rooted
It happened to me before being rooted, if I had Moto Display on it never showed, it was only until switching to Ambient Display, or to neither Moto or Ambient Display that it started showing up.
Always running Notification
May be because of any always running notification. I too had same problem. Then I uninstalled the app that always used to have a notification running. Now the problem seems to be less frequent or not anymore.
Hi all. I recorded a video. You can see problem on video. (GPS not closing from notification panel.) the problem continues from the beginning. Same on all versions.

This has always been the case for me (A2017G). It goes from high accuracy to battery saving when using the notification bar shortcut. Has been like this on all versions.
I have created a shortcut on my home screen to access location settings to fully turn it off. Certainly not ideal of course.

it is so annoying. it is a bug and should be fixed I think
Because you're toggling "GPS." Gps is not the same as location. Idk why ZTE went with a GPS quick toggle and not a "Location" one.
I leave mine on all the time. I want it to keep location updated for when I use the GPS app rather than trying to get it to update when in a hurry.
@ joaste, hi, which mode of battery saving are you in? In the extremity mode the GPS cannot turn on.
Anyone else have this issue.
Does not work for me when using YouTube and wanting to switch from portrait to landscape.
Very frustrating
Just me then?
I'm sure you checked the auto-rotate is enabled.
On my side, I also have to manually press the full screen icon on YouTube app from time to time like 80% of the time, the rotation is automatic
Yes have it enabled. Have tried switching on and off as well as switching phone on and off.
I've noticed also now that if I'm looking at photos they do not rotate either
I'm having the same issue. I have reset the setting multiple times, restarted phone, and tested the gyroscope ability. It just doesn't auto rotate anymore & it's definitely annoying.
