Vibration Settings - HD2 General

Hey all,
Quick Q...
In silent mode the phone vibrates 3 times and I can feel this in my pocket.
However, in normal mode the phone vibrates continuously and does not have any pauses.
Any way to change the registry setting to make silent profile vibration the standard vibration setting for all profiles?
Thnx

Just use this amazing little software:

Better Instructions for HD2 users here:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-valert-v1-10.html
1. Install the CAB
2. Soft reset the device or manually run \Program files\VAlert\VAlert.exe
3. The program is hidden by default. To display program window (if needed), run the program again
7. In Phone->Options make sure ring type is Vibrate and Ring
4. Edit script.txt to change vibration pattern. Every line in the file is a pair of vibration length and note pause
5. From the program window run Menu->Test to test the created pattern
6. Perform Menu->Hide to hide program window
Called VAlert 1.21 this changes the win mo normal vibrate mode to whatever settings you want.
I am using 500,300 100,500 100,500 100,500 100,500 100,500 100,1000 and the phone now vibrates beautifully to incoming calls
Hope this helps others. Thnx XDA developer ochakov
Thank YOu XDA !!!!
EDIT: Valert has some bug with the HTC volume control.

Pocketmax Phonealarm 1.54 problem

Phonealarm 1.54 is superb, but it's casuing me a very annoying problem, and I don't know why:
I like to have my phone set to "Vibrate" at all time. By that, I mean clicking the little speaker at the top of all WM5 devices and where you get the 2 sliders for volume of device and phone, at the bottom it has "On", "Vibrate" and "Off".
However since I installed Phonealarm my phone always reverts back to "On" - but I can't seem to work out why, there's no pattern to it - sometimes it just sits there on Vibrate, then next time I use the phone it's back to On. I can't seem to work out if things like going into the Phonealarm setup menu causes it, or clicking an alert in Phonealarm, or whatever - it just seems that after a while it'll revert to "On" without me asking it to, and it's only been happening since I installed Phonealarm.
Any ideas?
phoneAlarm 1.54
Its hard to say with this programme. The developer has built so much into this excellent app for so may devices, there always seems to be one problem or another. I would post a question in the support forum (www.pocketmax.net). Bruce (the developer) is pretty responsive. He may ask you to send a log ad he will try and fix in next version. I am waiting for 1.55, due out on the next few days
Regards
Chris
I believe you need to put the option to vibrate in all profiles. For exampe in the settings screen, if you go to a particular profile then click on sms notification you need to tick the vibrate option. To get it working on the ring tone as well set the ring option in profiles to "Vibrate and Ring". Remember to do this for all alerts for all profiles!

A way to have alarm sound when on silent/vibrate?

Maybe there is a way to do this, but I'm not aware - does anyone know of a way to enable alarm even when teh phoen is on vibrate or on silent? (this came to me because I set the phone to silent and forgot to turn I was late for work today)
enAlarmPPC
When you mean an application for alarms, then you should really take a look at enAlarmPPC. You can simply force a volume, and it will play sound even if in "vibrate" or "mute".
awesome... I think that's exactly what I need. Thanks
i use vibrate mode all the time, but don't like the fact that it silences your phone. But this is what i have found:
Instead of going into vibrate mode through comm manager or through a "profile" (like from the HTC Touch Today plugin), go to settings and then select Sounds and Notifications. Select Notification tab, and from the drop down menu select Phone: Incoming call and select vibrate. When you do this, your phone vibrate when there is an incoming call but is not silenced for other functions of the phone like alarms, music, etc.
Disadvantage is that it is not 1 simple step, so if you back and forth between ring and vibrate it is not ideal, but if you set it on vibrate all the time like me, it is ideal.

You could probably Mortscript it...
yea, the thing is I always change to vibrate when I'm at work/quiet areas and I'd liek to have a simple profile change button that changes it to a vibrate + ringer.

Give PhoneAlarm a try! Then you can create profiles.
I agree, PhonaAlarm solves it all!!

IPAQ 6940 - LONG Vibration

Hey everyone,
Had a question,
My phone, when on vibrate, does a good 10seconds for any text message, phone call, or what not - any ideas how to edit this - it's WAYY to long of a vibration and I end up needing to have the phone on silent.
Thanks,
~Maciek
if you have a 3prt profile app chack if there are settings regarding this issue ,you can also try diff ring and ring settings of the phone ,most likely you have a software that dose it ,try also to check on start/settings/sound & notification /notification if the settings are ok (play with it) as last option you can always backup your device prform hr and check this function (to know your device is ok) good luck with finding it

[REQ] SMS-Alarm Tool

Hi Guys,
i'm in need of a program wich does the following on recieving a sms with a specified text:
- turn display on, fullscreen flashing red/white
- override all sound settings and play an alarm sound with maximum volume
- stops on pressing buttons or touching the screen
- then opens the message
is there anywhere an application that can do that already? i need it because we got an sms-alarm system at our fire brigade and its really annoying when you have your phone on silent and miss the alarm.

So, simple enough to install this and get it to, say, open a flash file which just plays a loud sound and flashes the screen. You could also make the flash file *be* one big button, so when the screen was pressed the app would close.
You'd just need to knock up a simple flash file yourself.
As for the volume, I'm sure there are plenty of free apps that run from commandline to say, set the volume to max. This could be ran first.
Any good?

Blocking of outgoing call

Is there any way to lock outgoing calls??
Because I made calls without I knew I had pressed some keys.
So, I would like to make calls after pressing of special keys.
(Incoming calls are no problem, because of some good auto lock solutions.)
Thank you!
i have wondered this too but best to lock the screen or get a app that auto locks after a certain amount of time. i cant rememer the one that i used but now i just make sure the screen is off before i put it in me pocket. when i first got the phone though it was a nightmare
As per above post you can use various apps to autolock screen. I use Smart Lock, though you can also use HD Tweak & LockMeLite.
To use Smart Lock, once installed go to settings > system > smartlock and ensure wm6.5 lock & suspend lock are both ticked, then reset device. Now everytime you turn screen off device will autolock
There is also the Slide 2 Unlock program created by an XDA member. Do a search on S2U2 and you should find it. Or go directly to his site at http://ac-s2.com/
