You really should have searched before posting. If you had you would have seen several people have already informed him that he needed to search before posting. What a waste of bandwidth you have created telling someone to search before posting when it is abundantly clear that other people have already told him to search before posting, had you only searched about searching before posting before posting about searching before posting.

If you actually see the number of threads, it is 4. So, rather than arguing and polluting the Wildfire section with your crap threads (Transparent JPEG, Really? Weather Animation on Unlock using BW - OMG!), actually admit it that this thread of yours is redundant.
I'll agree with that one member said about you somewhere. Reading your posts make me feel like punching through my monitor.

When someone answers a question that has already been answered a billion times, I call them patient, not 'smart'. What do you call the people who keep asking the same questions then? Why would anyone with half a brain join XDA to prove that they're smart? This is why talented devs like Jacob are leaving this forum.
I'm amazed at the number of utter morons that populate the Wildfire section. AND they have the audacity to diss the people who do have some sense. Can't wait to get out of here.

Yeah, well, there are also forum rules people are supposed to read and follow. "Search before posting" is one of them. So yes, we get tired of people asking the same questions over and over again, when a look at the first few threads would likely turn up results.

While that is true, if you(or whomever responds) just responded explaining that in the first place, this would be a much nicer forum. Everyone is quick to snap at someone on here. On top of that, half the time you search for stuff on here posts like this pop up, with no answer just smart ass remarks

Basically, a .RAR file is similar to a zip file - it's usually used either to compress a file so that it's a smaller download, and/or to pack multiple files into a single file.
The part that's more confusing to most people is Windows (or Mac, for that matter) has no built-in support for RAR files. For Windows, the solution I like is something called Peazip - it's a free download. For the Mac, Stuffit Expander will do the job (also a free download for just the Expander). Both can be found easily by googling them - I haven't posted enough times yet to be able to give the direct address for them.
Hope that helps.
When you start the thread, "hope I don't get flamed.." it shows you already know that you have a high chance of getting flamed ha if not by me someone else would have done it, and you hate that so why post? And you said you don't know what to do with the .rar, how about use odin and flash it, lol, it not like a developer going to be like " OMG didn't know where this was been looking everywhere for it!" Change thread title to - [STOCK ROM] EF02 - and we all be happy.
A thread for all stock builds or one thread for every stock build should be here IMO.
Guys these threads are packed with useless bickering as it is, lets just try and stay on topic guys
now, as for this EF02, you guys think there'll be a rooted/custom version available by the end of today? Some ppl who have flashed this already say its really smooth, the only problem is thats its stock, so flashing it will rewrite our recovery image and break our CWM/current root I'm tempted to flash it, but then again, i dnt want to lose my SRF 1.1.1 without being able to restore back. so i'll wait

I get sick of everytime somebody posts someone else feels the need to "police" the threads. Its ridiculous.

I disagree. One of the things that makes this forum so helpful overall is its heavy policing.
Other forums are a disorganized wild west, and you can't find anything without 5 minutes of sorting the good from the crap.
Was it warranted here? Maybe. Maybe not. As a general approach being nit-pickey douches about what goes where does help though. Few people do it twice.
OP Edited... Hope that is more suiting

Change thread title to - [STOCK ROM] EF02 - and we all be happy.
A thread for all stock builds or one thread for every stock build should be here IMO.

So next time someone comes across a new leak they shouldn't post it until they customize it? No, I'm not buying in to that. And just because it is in the General section does not mean that it shouldn't be here as well. So.. without further turning this forum into a "disorganized wild west" (sometimes the police even need policing) how about we get past the forum etiquette discussion and move on to EF02.

I am sure this must have been posted somewhere already, but I didn't see it. I only saw threads on the new source code deposit for EL30.
http://www.androidcentral.com/sprint-rolling-out-ota-updates-evo-4g-epic-4g-evo-design-4g
Epic 4G
Update to version S700.0.5S.EL30
Security update
Speaker feedback fix
The QIK and Asphalt 5 applications are no longer preloaded. When opening the applications using the application icon, you will be redirected to the Android market to download and install the full application.
After the QIK install, you will need to login using your original account information or create a new account. All contacts should remain intact
After the Asphalt 5 install, previous game play data (eg. levels) will not be retained.

Dude its the same thing pretty much no one wants another thread talking about EL30.

Sorry not trying to gripe or be rude but its ridiculous that there's this many threads about the same thing. they all relate to the same thing. just because one person posts about a kernel, doesn't mean another person has to post about the modem or the tar.
We all know its coming but after 2 threads its just killing it. Again no disrespect or harsh feeling but we all don't want to see several threads dealing with the same thing is all.

every time someone posts on a thread that nobody likes, it bumps the thread back to the top of the list instead of just burying it (hint hint)

The only difference is, you won't want to include the thread title if you aren't sure which thread the search.
Its funny how "late to the party" so many people are. This stuff on el30 has been posted for quite awhile, and now here's yet another one. This guy must have thought he was tekkie of the year, bringing us this *NEW* news. Haahaaha

I think all you fools poking jabs at this guy and putting him down need grow up. If you really need to feel important that badly, go beat your 9 yr old cousin in Super Smash Bros or something.
Sure, he probably didn't search good enough before posting, but the fact remains, the guy was just trying to help out. Let's not make this such a negative cliquey place...there's love enough for everyone. Can't we all just get along?
How is your comment any different? We give the original poster a little teasing, and you start throwing comments at the people who aren't posting the same info for the 30th time. If anything said here has made you THAT butthurt, then whoa. Moving along.

This guy has been around longer and thanked a hell of a lot more times than you have. Chew on that for a bit. Haahaaha
If you read the original post, I was clear that there were other threads about EL30, what I did not see elsewhere was that the OTA was oficially starting.

It's not my first rodeo. You know things are slow when people spend their time whining like little *****es about other people's posts. Just sayin . . . .

He's right, the posts about the OTA on EL30 just started this week. There WERE posts about EL30 being worked on in early January. I don't see the need to complain about a few OTA threads...besides, existing threads usually get way off track and keep rising to the top for topics not even related to the original title.

Sorry for the tirade, I'm not butthurt (eww), I just tire of people putting people down because they are trying to help (which yes, I did do, and shouldn't have). But at least it's been said.
So let's all just try to be civil moving forward.
