So I am having an issue with ADW. I just did a complete wipe, and now it has space on the bottom and top of the screen that it will not let me use. I know that I have had this happen to me once before, but I forget how I fixed it.
The widgets that I have in my screenshot should take up the entire screen (all my rows are used up)

has anyone else experienced a force close of the launcher while trying to manipulate the widget itself (delete or move to another home screen) after the widget has been placed on a screen and left alone for like 10-15 min?
I keep getting the same force close on anything larger than 2x2.
I'm trying to figure out whether it is the widgets I am using (happened with 3 diff. widgets) or if it is some sort of wierd bug in the android OS.
Even the facebook widget force closes my launcher. Place the widget on your home screen (it is on the last to the left for me) and leave your phone alone for a while. When you come back to it, long press the widget and see what happens. I get a force close the first time and then right after I can move it. If I leave it alone for a while and try again I get another force close.
Anyone!?!?!
Anyone else have this ?
My homescreen consists of Beautiful Small Home, Audiomanager Small, couple of other smaller Beautiful Widgets, and SD Card and Internal Memory Widgets.
On other screens I have Facebook and messages widget.
My question is this.
On a reboot, when everything appears to have loaded, my homescreen still has blank entries for most of the widgets, unless I swipe to another screen and back again, and then they refresh.
Why does it do this ?

I have this issue as well. Doesn't seem to happen when sense is disabled.
I have no idea how it happened, but my launcher icon (4 square looking thing) has disappeared! Now there is a star in that middle spot that prompts me to drag something there...
I am running the stable 7.1 build of CM7 booting from the SD card. I tried a reboot to verify...it is gone.
How do I get it back?
Where the launcher was, swipe your finger up (if holding vertically). You can hide the launcher by swiping down to give yourself a full length dock.
I found it. I think my kids must have played with it. I was able to add it back using the menu>+add option (still learning here!)
Occasionally mine disappears just from quickly tapping for the app launcher (Yes my screen is clean ). Just have to swipe it to make it return, or just use the dock function instead.
I notice right off the bat if I wake my phone by pressing my lock screen, the widget I'm using (not just Calendar) is condensed. I need to manually drag the square down to see it in its entirety. However if I scroll across to other widgets on my lock screen, they are all the proper size. How do I set it up so I can see the full view of my center widget whenever I unlock my phone without touching the screen?
To be clear, I want picture 1 to look like picture 2 the moment I wake my phone. Is this possible?
Edit: I'm running stock vanilla Jellybean

Click to collapse
It's not possible running stock. It was designed that way because the bottom half of the screen is needed for your unlock pattern.
You'll need to flash a custom ROM. They do this so you can unlock your phone quickly without having to drag up the widget.
I'm on rooted i9500 at the moment, stock android 4.2.2
Looking for a way to completely remove anything on the lock screen (make it transparent), aside the top status bar.
Lock screen can be in 2 modes at the moment. The first one, is with only once widget, and the other is with multiple widgets. And it would be perfectly fine with the single widget lockscreen, if only when I remove the clock widget (or "life partner") widget it didn't come back the next time the screen is locked.
I found a way to make it "kinda" work with multiple widgets, and the blank lockscreen widget:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wordpress.chislonchow.blanklockwidget&hl=en
It's ALMOST perfect, as it still has this f**** annoying plus sign on the side, and the top of the lock screen has this animation effect when I slide it. If I removed those 2 things, my lock screen would be perfect for me as I envisioned it in my head.
Any help (again, just a reminder, I am rooted, also have xposed framwework installed).

My last try I guess, or else I risk of getting a warning from a moderator
