OK this is my build folder the newest build will be the highest number if bootloops have been reported the builds will still be available (many devs find them useful) but the file name will reflect its bootloop status for users
http://www.mediafire.com/?19oq9aam9cprw
Lots still needs to be done but I'm once again exausted and must sleep
Happy Flashing !!!
ps Say thanks to cvpcs for making this happen!
I have tried flashing this twice. The first time from Apex 2 RC2 which bootlooped at the moto logo. I then SBF'd to 2.3.20 which booted past the moto logo to the cyanogen boot animation but it got stuck in a loop there as well. Has anyone had any luck getting this booted up? If so can you give me some advice as to what I'm doing incorrectly.
Jbird, while cvpcs is truly awesome you are still amazing man! Thanks for getting all of the D2 stuff up and moving!
@zibrah3ed Check the threads on rootzwiki that jbird listed in the first post. Stuff seems to be moving very fast for the Droid 2 over there.

Downloading it right now, will load up ASAP and can try to help out as much as possible, again thnks to jbirdvegas you sir are awesome!
I must have not updated the gps files ...
for now pull the gps.droid2.so from the gingerbread leak and pushed it into /system/lib/hw
and reboot that should fix
also massive changes to the build.prop still need to be merged as they are now for the droid x
...sorry I was in a hurry to build so we had SOMETHING to work with.
Was not a complaint in the slightest. Happy beyond words it boots and data works everything else is gravy.

Is there a list of known bugs/things that don't work?
Mostly for the purpose of seeing if any problems that come up should be reported of if they are already being looked into.
i can't wait till the bugs are ironed out.

Don't use bootstrap, use rom manager
Cm makes use of a second init process to hijack. Bootstrap messes with this and causes bootloops
If you installed via rom manager then try battery pull. Then from recovery wipe data and cache that should fix

Awesome rom, jbirdvegas you sir are amazing and ofc credit to cvpcs as well without either of them cm7 on the droid 2 would not be possible, only major bug i see is with the physical keyboard, the numbers doent work fully, they seemed to have moved to the left, bt besides tht i dnt see any other bugs besides of course the cmda 64, which i kinda like lol

did you use the newest build?
did it bootloop for a little bit???
Yes, i did use the new rom and it did loop, and yes t did bootloop, what i did was battery pull, thn hold x nd boot it up nd thn a android icon with a triangle with an exclamation mark, thn release x nd press the search button nxt to the mic button. Thn wipe cache/data, i did both nd then click reboot, nd let it boot, and just wait a bit nd should boot up if nt do it again. And also one more bbug is that when you get a call or receive a call the person on the other side cannot hear anything you say, but you can hear what they say though.

If I go into People and select a person it FCs on me. Only when I try to click on a person. I can see groups and all that stuff.
Also, no People Widget.
Anybody have anything to replace these?
PS. If I try to change anything in setCPU it reboots the phone. FYI, I only wiped Dalvik.

I will look into that issue. There is the same problem with the bookmarks in the browser. I will see if I can find something to replace the apk or see if I can put it back in. The problem is that the JIT does not work at all with Sense which is all tied into those things, hence why the were removed. Thanks for the feedback and if you find anything that works before I do let me know...SetCPU works fine on my phone. You only wiped the Dalvik when loading the rom? what Rom were you on before this?
the curiosity over JIT is killing me, I've gotta try it.

yeah i really think a data wipe is nescasary coming from a different rom...i will add htc contacts back in for the next update which should fix the force close your getting. I can try to put the people widgets back but some of the sense based items don't work well with JIT which is why some of that stuff is missing.
If you can just point me to a replacement or include one, that would be better than bringing sense back.
I found a piad app I might have to check out.

This rom is already overclocked to 768. The next release will have a kernel that goes over 768 but I don't reccomend going much higher. My phone personally locks up over 800. If you want the updated kernel now you can flash this update Update. I made it for another rom but this one has the same boot image and I tested it and it will work for this rom....

Just installed the update you posted above.
Whenever I try to set max on setCPU over 528 it locks up the phone.
Any recommendations?

Biffmod for cappy is here. I think you'll enjoy it.
The goal here was to create a stock 2.3.5 feel for the cappy , preserve the customization options of Cyanogenmod, and add the features I felt were missing.

No need to odin back to stock before flashing this and GB bootloaders aren't required
if the glitch kernel freaks out on you... you may need a different leakage version. Source code and updates for glitch kernel, can be found in the following thread ------->http://bit.ly/pNkURn
CHANGELOG:
v1.3- Initial release and port from samsung vibrant, relatively untested
Seems interesting...i'll try it out tonight.
As shall I... I doubt many people here will get the KingKlick reference lol (I'm from way back... G1 days). Great to see you deving for Captivate, biff.
you guys are officially testers. Please let me know any bugs or issues you have. Cappy and Vibrant are basically the same so i think i pulled it off proper, but since i don't have the device, its not possible to know. Once you all confirm its as stable as it should in theory be, i'll push to rom manager and start doing biweekly updates.
Sounds good. I won't be using Glitch though, I'm currently testing a kernel of my own (in my sig). TK-Glitch was the dev of Gitch kernel btw
I will give a try also this night!

That's what the OP says. If you have issues, then they're most likely caused by your GB bootloaders. Give it a try, worst that can happen is that you have to go stock. (disclaimer: worse can happen if you really, really, really screw up and I'm not responsible)
+1. I have jvp installed. With gb bootloaders. Do I have to-
1. flash to stock eclair
2. flash to stock gb
3. just wipe and flash?

Sure thing. The ROM's been great so far, no issues except for a soft reboot, then when it booted it hard rebooted. Just a one time thing, and I've used the phone plenty since then, so I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Great! Yet another rom to try out I'll be waiting for screenies before I try it out. Just a question nims11, does this rom have the 3rd party facebook login problems like the other cm7 based roms? Since this is a problem to a Facebook freak like me, only Jusada's roms don't have this problem.
Nice work! Looks awesome..
good work..hats off mate
but before doing the installation must be done wipe the cache or something?
I also wanted to ask if this rom the bug is present proximity sensor, and if the torch is working properly.
Finally I wanted to ask which is the default setting Launcher

Thanks a lot nims11 for your efforts! Does this drain battery? Since the original 7.2 by Axel003 was not friendly with my battery. Hence the question.
So glad to see your work again bro. And even better on something completely original, witch is more than can be said for most stuff coming out at the minute. Look forward to flashing when my current projects are finished. It will probably be the last rom I flash on my phone.

I flashed this expecting awesomeness.
I was dead wrong.
This is BEYOND awesomeness. Awesomeness doesn't even reach the tip of comprehension of how HOLY this ROM is.
But I do have some personal issues:
> Because of the full transparency, lots of text are really hard to read.
But that's not forcing you to fix it, of course. I'm just an unknowledgeable end user
Other than that, I love it more than my children.
No, just kidding; I don't have any children.

Thanks for the build, have you made any progress on getting netflix working?
Edit: read the change log...it's working.
Sorry I read the M4 change log earlier today for my phone and it was not on there.

this is the best ROM ever.
I'm running it on my galaxy nexus and on my touch pad. it meets all my needs, never switching to another ROM! Thanks a ton.

I currently have CM9 Alpha2 on my TP. When I try to install AOKP in CWM, I end up with two options in moboot, Cyanogenmod 9 and AOKP. They both lead to the same rom, but I just end up in a bootanimation loop. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

You're doing nothing wrong. If you don't want it there, go to classicnerd.net and there is a zip you flash before each rom the will clear that list.

You can also just delete whichever uImage from the boot menu in Root explorer... Just Wipe and flash aokp then select to boot aokp. The uImages are in the boot directory. uImage.cyanogenmod you can either rename it or just delete it. The hardware video fix completes this device for me. Plex now works which for me was the only thing missing. Thanks alot ProTekk.
Dloadng now.... cant wait!
Thanks for the info on clearing moboot, now I got AOKP to boot up properly
Quick question: After installing AOKP how much sd card space should I have (32gb TP with only webOS stuff and AOKP)?
Changing what you've got booting won't use any SD Card space.
Anyone managed to get a youtube vid play yet? i cant seem to get it working

Hmm wont work at all for me, updated the app and flash, rebooted several times. Cleared the app data still not working, the app loads but videos just say there was a problem while playing touch to restart
I just did a cwm wipe and install and my moboot only has cyanogenmod as a boot option no aokp.
It's it because I installed with cwm and not acme installer?
What's the proper way to install ROMs for future reference?

Everything for daily use
Thanks
Used up my thanks limits on this news today
Question: Why would I want to upgrade to JB from ICS? What are the advantages? I am running SLIM 4.2 and love it. I know JB is the latest and greatest but not sure why people are set on switching from an already great ICS ROM. Just curious as to the pluses.

Change DPI in the build prop OR using the app mention in Slimroms.com (please read before asking)
Clock works just fine on mine.
Powerbutton is not used anymore. Softkeys are used in recovery now

Just wanted to point this out to you. On this page you refer to the old install method (base/essentials)
"If the flash is too quick ( < 5 seconds or so), reflash base before flashing essentials." maybe reword that to the new way so people don't get confused? Of course that is assuming they do the proper reading

the power button no longer works, see post 14
Edit: guess it would help if I asked if you tried hitting the home soft key instead of hitting the power button
