HP touchpad for all Indian wannabe touchpad owners

Here is a good deal I found on ebay India, if you missed the firesale or don't have anyone in US to ship it to you or carry it for you - and don't trust yourself to handle to shipping and customs yourself - you can buy it here - a little expensive - but cheap for a tab of such hardware, and now that Android is there on it
Worth the 350$ - as it includes shipping and customs
I don't know the seller, but have bought stuff from them - pretty good - but takes 3 weeks to get stuff - so if u want one :
http://www.ebay.in/itm/HP-TouchPad-...5?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item3f0ebcdf75
But again, I or anyone at XDA staff does not take any responsibility for this
That doesn't seem like a very good deal to me? Those were selling for $149 during the firesale. So you're saying that $200 for shipping it to India is a good price?

Lol. Read this wrong. Thought you meant $200 for an HP Touchpad and he is right it is too much. You can get one in the US for $200.
Why go for a TP for 350$? Get a Asus TF instead or GTab if you want VFM.

I sold my 32GB TP for $280 for which i paid a lot of customs and shipping haha. I don't think its a good deal on ebay. Also the seller cart2...... is just plain bogus, they order your goods after you finish your order on ebay
I agree with archat once can get a better Device for those 350 which is TF, galaxy tab, even gtab is better.
yes cart to >>>>> is total crap...
Read what I said, it's only a good price for those people who don't want to ship it to India themselves or don;t have anyone to bring it from US.
Hardware is same as any other tab and that costs 600-700$, so 350$ is not bad compared.
Your opinion, you can have it
But, 149$ was NOT a realistic price, better to get over that - even HP has.
@Crush : How much customs you paid for it ? You got it for 280$+customs+shipping ? Can you explain
And i don't know about the seller at all - bought twice items were small and reached in time - were exactly the same price as US price.
Just to clear this up for anyone who isn't quite grasping what this thread is about, madnish30 is providing a link to eBay India. If you don't live in India, or need a Touchpad shipped to India, then why are you even posting in this thread?
$150 is NOT a reasonable price for ANY Touchpad. GTF over it. Consider it a one time sale price. US resales of the Touchpad seem to have settled at $200 and $250 for the 16GB and 32GB models respectively.
Considering this and the cost of shipping to India from the US, plus the time it takes to get through customs, $350 isn't a bad price for this tablet. The Touchpad has very good hardware, and is worth the $350 even in the US. It was never worth the full $650 retail price that it originally was, but that's another story.
So, in short, if you don't have any reason to need a Touchpad delivered to India, then don't post in this thread. It really is that simple.
Exactly, well summed up CFB
The touchpad is worth 350$ or more itself, for the hardware _ functionality and the OS too - I agree it's no Galaxy tab, but hey that Galaxy tab comes for 700$ not cheap ! And this is for 350$ for almost the same hardware.
Besides, inclding customs and shipping the seller is earn around 30$ a shipment which is not bad !
250$ is the average cost in US today, so 350$ by no means is bad for India that too including customs !
149$ was a throwaway price, but seriously one need to get over it, it's long gone - and those lucky people who saved a 100$ good for them !
Again, I shared a deal - but nobody is compeling you to buy, you can keep looking maybe one day you find one for 50$ or maybe not

the current prices going on ebay.de at the moment

2nd hands 16GB w/3G (most common) are going for an average of 350-450 (mint) incl shipping
if the seller has a paypal account that usually raises the selling price by about 50 euro. extra sleeves and SD cards also push the the price higher by 20-30 euro
(samples collected over 8 weeks, 29 sales tracked)
prices in the US seem lower
any one got an idea of that's a good resale value in europe?
considering that the cheapest you can get a 16GB w/3G and pen is 522 euro ?
I'll try to keep track of this...
And how is this development? Thread moved.
I got mine on eBay for 420€ incl Shipping
I just got mine off eBay US. Paid $405 for a 32 GB with keyboard folio and dock.
I was tracking a 64gb Thinkpad on ebay and was this >< to getting it today but at the last minute I got called by my boss and didn't update the bid amount and got outbid. it came out to be 423 USD.
Would have been sweet. Oh well.
-----------------------------------------------
Edit: Dec 19th,
Well its official, I've joined the Thinkpad tablet family.
Although I missed out on the 64GB deal mentioned above, I kept tracking other offers and there was one on ebay for a 32GB Thinkpad with keyboard folio, dock and stylus. All for $425. Considering that if I had bought it on Lenono it would have costed me $759 I think its a steal.
It should get to me by this Friday. I can't hardly wait.

Best Deals on Galaxy Note 10.1

I just thought that a thread dedicated to finding a great deal on this amazing tablet during the upcoming shopping season would be helpful.
I recently missed an opportunity to get the 32GB version for $349 plus tax, and the 16GB version for $399 plus tax. I would've jumped all over these deals, but I was too late... I figured a central location for people to report deals would be helpful to all! I can't wait to get my hands on mine.
So far the only deal I've seen is HH Gregg selling for $449 on Black Friday (16GB). I'm really hoping to get it for $399. I'm crossing my fingers that Amazon drops in to that price to best the competition.
I can't wait to join the community here!
Update: Best deal is at Amazon for $449 (one-day free shipping with Discover card, plus 5% cash back!).

I also read abt $399 deals but I guess they were fake. I really couldnt find it on B**tB*y or the other store. I finally bought one from A**zon for $604.99. It is 3G+WiFi 16GB.
Keep checking this thread on SlickDeals.net; it's continually updated. So far there are a lot of deal on the G-Tab 2 but not the Note. MacMall has the 16GB Note for $419.99 and the 32GB for $469.99 with free shipping (2-day if you belong to ShopRunner).

They weren't fake - it was a glitch on Toys-R-Us' website. They quickly shut that down. It was a deal that was supposed to exclude tablets, but when you added it to your cart it still applied the discount.
Also, the other deal was an error as well. Fry's meant to post a one day sale on the Tab 2, and instead posted a one day sale on the Note. So you could get the 32GB version for $349 through price matching at BB that day.
@barry - thanks! That's the best deal I've seen so far!

Good catch! Amazon does too, plus one day shipping free if you have a Discover card. Also you get 5% cash back if you use Discover, so that sort of lowers the price to around $425-ish, shipped. This will easily beat Mac Mall's $419 + tax! I may snag one now... Black Friday pricing doesn't seem to be much better from what I'm seeing.
Anyone suspect a better deal will be lurking out there before BF?
Black friday week at amazon

Black Friday supposedly holds no surprise for Galaxy Note 10.1, but I got mine just last week for $350 + ~$30ish tax. Price matched a typo'd Fry's ad at Best Buy.

Bought one from Currys in the UK (note N8010)
Got them to pricematch another retailer bringing it down to
£312.90
They have an extra £30 rebate off when you buy any case (this is on top of Samsungs £50 rebate offer)
Purchased this for £12.99
Got cash back from a cash back site (topcashback) this confirmed at £9.19
Purchased on my credit card that gives 1% cashback £3.13
This makes me either very lucky or very sad but total sale price including the case will be £233.57 (aprox $375 including all taxes)
For those in the US, just saw white Galaxy Note 10.1 16GB at Costco for $429.
Unfortunately with tax the Costco deal is more expensive than most online retailers. NewEgg, Frys, Amazon, and Macmall have the 16GB for 449.99 and the 32GB for 499.99. I'm waiting for a better deal..

Yeah as if California doesn't get enough tax money out of you.. I'm waiting for 449.99 for the 32 gig.
Best buy has a 25 dollar discount or rebate when ordering online to instore pickup. That makes the 16ngig 425 and 32 gig 475.

For we Canadians:
Future Shop and Best Buy have the 32GB N8010 on sale for $449.99 ($50 off) until Nov. 29th.
--- edit ---
On a related note, for those who already own their Note and bought it at Future Shop, FS has extended their price protection on anything purchased on or after Nov. 2 to extend to the Jan. 6th (rather than being only 30 days of price protection). I got my $50 back yesterday. Just had to go into the store with my receipt, and have the credit card I used to make the purchase originally.

$449.00(32g) @ "Staples/Bureau En Gros" too and we had a $50.00 coupon good for 3 days (Black Friday Week-End) = $399.00
Staples in canada also has the 32gb for 449. I'm signed up for their newsletter and I got a 50 off coupon on purchases over 400 so I got the Note for 399 over the weekend.

It is £25 cheaper at John Lewis but I agree. Paying far more in the UK even when you take VAT into account plus no perks. That's any extra kick in the wallet as the play credit etc would sway the purchase for me.... I am seriously considering picking one up off ebay (approx £400 for the 16gb and £450 for 32 Gb. There is a post lower down with the ebay sellers details and it was shipped by expedited shipping.
I may even use a VPN service and cash in the perks. It is a global market these days and samsung should treat all consumers the same.
