I have a HD2 (T9193) dual booting YukiXDA's Nodo Rom v.3 and AmeriCanAndroid (June 10 build). Radio is 2.15.50.14.
Everything runs great, but the HTC Hub that I've installed has a link for Need for Speed and HTC Stocks, which always takes me to the marketplace, even though I have both apps installed. Installing other HTC apps like Sound/Photo Enhancer does not place them in the HTC Hub either.
This occurs with every version of the HTC Hub I installed (1.5 and 1.7), and even after I hard reset and run Task29.
Anyone else have this issues, and/or have any suggestions? I found a thread where someone asked the same question, but it was never addressed.
BTW, the phone is not activated for marketplace.
Thanks in advance.
Whats a big deal in that the HTC Hub doesn't even update automtically for weather I hav d below ROM mentioned in signature n had use earlier version of same rom but in niether of them it showed me anything else than stock and nfs also I have WP7 activated I can get apps downloaded frm market place but nothing changes.

Hi
I am not able to install Isilo onto my Touch HD, very frustrating. I have tried both using CAB files directly on the phone, and also installing through activesync, but no luck. It gives the usual message on my PC saying the software is installed and to look on the mobile device for more instructions etc. But nothing happens on the Touch HD anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
Bigmaz
I had a similar issue with Mobipocket - this seemed to be related to trying some of the earlier cooked ROMs and disappeared when I updated them. Have you tried one of the later ROMs?
I dont know anything about ROM's, what ROM should i be using?
Just looked on the HTC website and according to that ii have the most up to date ROM
Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've just upgraded my HD2 with the new 1.66 ROM released by Vodafone. I'm now re-installing everything I have bought from Windows MarketPlace. However, when I got to the MyApps area and click install, it starts to install really well until it gets to about 80% then just seems to stick there. I have left it for about 30mins and it still doesn't complete. It does seem to have installed but some of the apps don't run properly (File Explorer Pro wont run any CAB file)
Has anyone else had similar experiences or know of any solution
Many thanks for any help
Perhaps you should try installing one app at a time. I've had problems with Marketplace when I've tried to reinstall one or two apps in the past and it may be that it's getting stuck on one particular app.
cheers jakam, that was I was doing my friend....but it seems that it maybe a problem with the File Manager pro and Regedit. Everything else installs OK. Guess I'll have to try and sort it out
Cheers dude
No worries - glad you got it sorted.
If it helps, the app I was having trouble with eventually installed. I just had to keep trying every now and then until it worked
Hey All
I installed the latest rom from tmobile that was released i believe on june 3 could have been earlier it erased all of my contacts and programs. im ok with that as i can put all of that back. My big concern is that the Wifi router app that i downloaded from here will install but when i attempt to run the app to setup i get an error " there is no application associated with "CMIS". Run the application first, then open this file from within the application". Ive tried uninstalling reinstalling with no luck. Anyone have any idea how to fix this. on a side note after i updated all of my photos and videos and cab files were changed to menc files. most will not work after removing the ext (E.G jpg.menc)
if anyone has any idea on this one that would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance.
I just installed the update yestersay. The Wi-Fi Router App was the VERY first thing that I tried to reinstall. I don't get an error message, but I can't connect to anything. The phone doesn't even recognize that there is a connection being made, so after I initiate the router, I go to Wi-Fi, and it says 'No Connection'. I don't know why this is, but I do believe that T-Mobile knows that using the phone as a modem is possible and they researched until the figured out how to put a 'fix' in the new ROM to keep us from doing that.
I want to flash my ROM to a custom ROM to see if that will give me back that feature. I' shall see how that works, and I'll let you know if it does.
Hello, I too have tried installing a custom rom but still the wifi router isnt working, i wonder if T-Mobile arent accepting people to make wifi routing? (if that makes sense)
I do not know if you are using a Windows Mobile ROM or a Android ROM. If it is a Windows Mobile ROM sorry but I have no real advice except for you to try to reinstall the app or ROM. If it is Android then you can try updating your Super user as this fixed this problem for me once. Just go to the Android Market and look for Superuser. You can always try a different Android ROM too.
Just started getting this Issues i have HD2 Running on Energy Jul4 rom. and the WIFI Router app Will not Connect to Tmobile Data the icon will keep trying and it will not connect.
i tried a different ROM and still getting the Same Issue. :-( can anyone help?
Hi..
Tried the latest Android Froyo build on my phone with some interesting results.
I downloaded Froyo, copied the Android folder to my SD card, hit CLRCAD and then Haret. Froyo started booting, but after 4-5 lines all stopped. There was nothing happening after 15-20 min, so i pulled the battery, and started the phone again.
Now i get the message (in Norwegian)
"The file <filename> cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of it's components cannot be found. If the problem persists try reinstalling or restorig the file"
The problem is that none of the programs installed on the SD-card runs. They all get the above error.
I can not install any programs (reg editors) because i again get the above message. My registry editor that is already installed wont work, and i can not install anything.
I have tried Googling the problem and i've also searched the forums here in XDA. But i have not found anything that actually might work, because they all wants to install something. I can not install anything, and all of my 3'rd party apps doesn't work.
How do i disable the certificate verification without having to install anything or run any 3'rd part apps??
Is there maybe any program that i can run from my Win7 computer??
Thanks for all informing answers..
Certificate problem?
Exactly the same thing happens to me. Bump!
I'm also having this problem, seems to affect .exe files regardless of whether they are on the SD Card or on the device itself. Same cause as well.
2 reasons may be:
Either you run a stock rom and you need to install certinstaller search here on xda or run a custom rom
Or the sdcard is corrupt so you have to reformat
When you post issues pls give details as well like what hspl, rom, radio you use so people could help you out

Hmm, yeah, it's a stock ROM (for now). I cant't install anything so the certinstaller can't help me.... Now i have to find out how to run a custom ROM.
I have also reformatted the SD-cart with no luck.
My (for now) stock phone:
Manila: 2.5.19211619.0
ROM: 1.66.409.1 (76641) NOR
Radio: 2.06.51.07
Using a custom ROM as a base for Android will heed much better results.
Full instructions for flashing a custom ROM are found here (and here for TMOUS HD2).
^^^ Also I notice you have an old radio (2.06). I'm quite sure you need a 2.10 or 2.12 radio for Android...most people seem to have had the best results from 2.12. You will learn how to do that in the link above I just gave you.
As well, there are programs that allow you to edit the registry while connected via activesync that don't require installing anything on the phone.
Case closed
Well, it seemed like a good time to reset the phone now...
While having this problem, i upgraded the SPL with no problem.
Downloaded the newest Dutty-rom, and tried to upgrade, but because no 3'rd part progs will run, this didn't work. I had to hard reset the phone, and then upgrade the ROM and then the Radio.
Everything seems OK so far...
Thanks for all replies
any luck? i m having the same problem
Sorry, I seem to be starting lots of question threads but it is because I've spent a week with Android and can't find the answers anywhere.
Problem 1: Copilot running and I get a phone call (bluetooth headset), end the call and then Copilot shows "GPS lost" or something similar, but does not do anything. It responds to touch menu selections but does not actually do anything. I can exit Copilot normally but the GPS icon stays at the top of the screen, not functioning. I get a similar situation if I try and do anything with the phone with Copilot running in the background - Copilot (or at least GPS) ceases to function. Only solution is to turn phone off and on which leads to...
Problem 2hone freezes at MAGLDR "Go Go Go" stage. Running MAGLDR 1.13 which I upgraded today from 1.11 - the problem started with 1.11 and is still there with 1.13. This only started today after I read something about HD2's freezing at that stage!
So I am now having to keep re-starting my phone which it doesn't want to do which is becoming a real pain.
Anyone got any helpful suggestions other than going back to WM6.5?
I would recommend you to wipe all of ur data with task 29..
reinstall compatible radio
MAGLARD 1.13
Android rom
If you like gingerbread.. (the reasion why im tell you this is because GPS works awesome) download typhoons rom..
after you have done it download z4root.. root your hd2
download fasterfix (edit the gps file to your location)
Copilot should work now..
EDIT: to install the typhoon NAND rom, you need Clockworkmod
PS: remember to deactivate your copilot before doing this
feel free to ask questions

What does most of that mean
I've heard of task29 but don't know what it is, the same with "rooting". Can you point me at Typhoon's Rom, and does it still run in Sense (which I quite like)?
Thanks - I'm keen to try all this as I would like to stick wiith Android so answers to above would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE HSPL 2.08 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
Task 29 simply clears all the cache, data everything on your phone.. it makes your phone brand new.
download task 29 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644781
enter bootloader mode (hold volume down button while clicking on power button once) PS: make sure your phone is off.
install task 29
now you will have nothing on your phone.
install radio Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
install maglard 1.13 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893618
now.. you are ready to flash an android rom. I see that you want sense on your phone. I dont use sense.. so i dont know which android sense rom gps are working on. I recommend you to flash this rom: (it is gingerbread 2.3.2, everything works + its really fast) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
to install the rom you will need clockworkmod. to install it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898913
click on usb flasher on maglard screen. Click on DAF.exe on clockworkmod.
clockworkmod will now be installed.
copy the android rom to your sd card.
click on ad recovery on maglard screen. click on choose zip. find the zip (android rom) . install the rom
now you will have an android rom that's working.
EDIT : after you have flashed your android rom, you will need to root. To do this just download and install z4root on your hd2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
now install fasterfix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825717
if you are in usa, point it at usa.. if you are in europa point it at europa.. to get faster gps go to this site : http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/
choose your country. EXAMPLE: if you live in spain, choose : europa, spain. this would come up : 1.es.pool.ntp.org. copy : 1.es.pool.ntp.org and open faster fix. click on custom and paste in 1.es.pool.ntp.org.
after you have done all of this.. download gps status. (make sure you are outside) wait for atleast 30 seconds. you should now have gps signal. The reasion why i told you to download gps status was because when you use the app for the first time it will download agps sattelites.. which will make your phone connect to gps signal faster.
I hope this solves your problem feel free to ask questions.
Thanks for that comprehensive reply.
In the mean time I have completely deleted Copilot (the main data was still there from HD2 installation) and then reinstalled the proper Android Copilot as it occured to me that there might be a difference in programming which was causing the problem. I'll see how I get on this week.
Thanks again.

Which Android build are you using?
I'm using Sergio's Coredroid with Copilot and haven't had a problem. Your problem might be caused by insufficient RAM being available, or any number of other potential issues. Different builds have different parts of the build located on NAND/SD card/etc.
Have you moved Copilot to the SD card (not the maps, I know they are installed on the SDcard)? If so, this might be an issue.
If you install a widget (Temp and CPU pro for example) on your device, you can monitor the available RAM and see if running Copilot (which is resource intensive) is causing the system to bog down and crash.
You might also want to try another Android build and see if your problem persists?
