(Q) Can someone point me to a stock desire build.. - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey guys
Can someone recommend me a stock desire build for Euro HD2 that uses EXT partition? (that I can use as daily driver)
Ive tried Desire HD builds but are too laggy for Euro HD2.
Im using a CM7 build at the moment but fancy a bit of Sense!
Cheers

You should try the build in my sig, its great. No lag for me and im a EU HD2 user.

Only very slight gfx glitches and htc camcorder doesnt work you need to use another. Its the best sense rom ive used to date with exception to the stripped version by MarkinuX.
Why dont you use search and search for topics in nand section with "desire" in title, then try some?

Cheers. Just wanted a basic, dependable Desire base.
Will search some more..

Wich is the best Android ROM for HTC HD2

Hi
I'm looking for the best Android ROM for HTC HD2?
A plain and simple ROM, much like HTC Desire.
me2 ............
Open up your phone. There should be a scavenger hunt map on how to find one. N when u find it. Make sure u throw your phone against the wall cuz it'll make it run faster.
the best rom is the one that will serve your needs better.
but you'll only know which is the one after your try some.
lucky you, there are lots of android ports here, ready to be downloaded for free.
by the way, very smart question. you're the first one to post it here, nobody never thought of it, so the search button would be useless for you anyway.
yeah me too,
and while I'm here, which is the best Winmo ROM, oh and should I sell my HD2 to buy a lawnmower? if so which lawnmower should I buy....
finally, and I'm sorry if this is in the WRONG SECTION, but which flavour ice cream should I have for dessert? sorry if you think my questions are a WASTE OF TIME.

Well this can be easily answered roms with the latest michelparamy kernel or darkstone kernel from froyostone v2. That ones use graphics patch by darkstone wich make the rom much faster.
Hands down
Get MATT C Froyo version of Android. is the most complete, stable and updated.

No. It consists of loads of frameworks and libraries, hence why you don't see any Sense programs in CyanogenMod builds.

it's not just a launcher... there are many more applications, libs, etc. involved in the sense experience and until they are not ported to 2.3 there wont be any sense hd gingerbread... just like 2.2 couldn't be ported until htc made one ...

Gingerbread w/ Sense? Might be possible soon!

Hey guys,
Head on over to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11413483&postcount=16
Looks like we have a possible dump of a Gingerbread with sense enabled! Motoman will verify the ROM and see if it can be ported. The ROM comes from the HTC Huashan/A9188/T9188, which is basically a re-release of the HD2 for the chinese community. Here's hoping it'll be easily ported!
honestly the desire DHD is more like HD2 and not the HTC Huashan. the hardware is totally different :/

Right, agreed. But this is the first Gingerbread Sense build that's in the wild, so porting it might be possible... Hopefully it'll give us the benefits of Ginger with Sense (Which is what I want).

[Q] Most Optimized Gingerbread ROM for HD2?

Let me preface this by saying I am not trying to start a "What is the best ROM" thread. My question is simple. Of the many Android ROMs available for the HD2, which is the most optimized and stable Gingerbread ROM? Furthermore, is there some sort of CM7 port for the HD2?
+1
Anyone help !?
After testing several Roms on my retired Leo, my best experience was with HyperdroidGBX. Very very fast, good battery life and overall an excellent ROM.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Personally, I've used NDT MIUI for a quite some time, it's not for everyone I guess, but you could always use a different launcher. It's never given me problems, and it runs smooth as silk
Before MIUI I was a hyperdroid fanboy though, both are excellent roms

I'm sorry but rephrasing the "What is the best ROM" question doesn't make it any different...U didn't even take d time out to check out the Android dev threads, cuz if u did then u surely would have seen not 1 but 2 threads featuring cm7 ports for the HD2....U won't get any real help here cuz we all use our phones differently, wats cool for me might not be cool for u so go out there and flash...flash..flash...Flashing is much safer & far easier than before with the help of CWM...Look @ screenshots & read devs/user posts on wat works and doesn't...Find d ROM dat suits U & U alone....XDA is a development site, so show some effort & u'll be rewarded.
By all means, start here.

I'm sorry but I really didn't want people's personal preferences on ROM's. When I meant the most optimized Gingerbread ROM, I meant the most optimized ROM. Not talking about features, looks or anything else. Just the smoothest one that runs Gingerbread. I also apologize that I didn't look around the forums enough to find the CM7 port thread. I'm still learning my way around these forums and I have very little knowledge regarding these ROMs and such but I will do my best to look for relevant threads.

I'm very happy with hyperdroid as well, but I did have to change the pixel density from what the rom comes with... way too squinty
once you try Typhoon cm7 you wont ever use another rom but his

I base my own tests on how good gun bros runs on the roms i have tested and till now only NexusHd2- from tytung runs this game without any problems. All other roms failed. It may be that i am doing something wrong but is very unlikely.
I've tried CM7 nightlies and tytung's rom, both have issues last I checked (last week). Tytung build seemed great, but just had the phone app lockup/issue mid-call (perhaps it's fixed by now).
I settled on Tyween's TyphooN CM7 "nightly" build, and have had no issues at all since the install.

Most NAND ROMs can be installed on EU HD2s provided you have an EXT partition on your SD card. Pick any ICS or above ROM and flash, you should have HWA.
i have the nexusHD ICS and the JellyBean version the JB build laggs as hell and battery live is not so good ...

I don't use my HD2 any more but I used to use NexusHD2 JB as my daily ROM. Battery life was as good as any other ROM and performance in general wasn't as good as GB but performance in heavy tasks (e.g. web browsing, gaming etc.) was hugely helped by the HWA in ICS and JB ROMs. I think ICS was marginally faster than JB for me (used NexusHD2 ICS as well) but the trade off was that it had no Google Now, and I couldn't mock my friend's One X for not having JB when my three year old phone did
i have used both, GB with HWA was better for gaming
i will the BLACKOUT ICS ore the VIPERDHD rom for my phone, the work on my DHD as well ... sense 4 desing is verry nice
my battery is verry high battery drain (whats app, sufing, in standby the battery holds up over night 30 % is this normall?)

If you could check the other battery drain thread which has been recently posted you can find some information on how to reduce your battery consumption. Also, you can't get GB with HWA so I assume you mean JB?

I asked somewhere, and someone said it's possible to have HWA on GB (MIUI & Sense Only). I'm not sure if he's right, and I really can't find the post in which I asked the question and the search is not helping :/ ..

Yes, you may have two phones but telling us that you have such and such on that device and you want it on the HD2 is just ridiculous.
About the blackout, we don't really know. But please don't go and ask there, if there is something they'll release it.
You can try mwakious' running ROM, he claims to have Hardware Acceleration and it's a sense ROM.
@Marvlesz Whoa, didn't know about that. Thanks for the heads up, since I'm not using my HD2 any more I'll flash it and check out what it's like.
EDIT: Hmm, if there is HWA then I don't really see much difference. It's marginally faster than barebones CM7 though.

And that's why it runs fast.

Sorry, just had to . It's great to answer questions when you can but try to do so on newer rather than older threads.
