"System out of memory" message

i tried searching in the forum and have not seem to find a solution to this. just recently bought the hero (yesterday actually) and this is my first venture into android territory. have been using winmo for the past 6 years. with winmo, it has always been a love-hate relationship. hope the relationship with android would be much better.
the problem i am currently having is with regards to the microsoft exchange activesync and the "system out of memory" message when synchronising contacts. i have managed to identify and duplicate the cause of this problem and it is due to the facebook integration. once i have linked my facebook accounts to my contacts (to get updates etc), the exchange activesync will come up with the "system out of memory" error message.
i have tried this twice... deleted the exchange account and set it up again, linked facebook and the error returns. kinda defeats the purpose of having this facebook feature but in the process causes this problem.
has anyone encountered this and/or have a solution?

Works fine linking my contacts to facebook. Do you say you are linking exchange contacts to facebook? if so then drop HTC an e-mail and they will fix it.

yes barry, that's what i was doing. used to work very well with my tp2. i have dropped htc an email about this.
are your contacts, exchange contacts?

After much email exchanges with HTC with no clear resolution, I gave them a call. The customer support person (Scarlett) was really helpful and listened more carefully than the one I corresponded with. After describing my problem to her, she told me that I would need to bring it into the service centre for them to have a look at it.
Since the phone was just recently launched here, even the service centre folks were not that well equipped to handle my issues. After spending a good half hour expalining and demo-ing the problem, they asked me to head to the distributor to get a one-to-one exchange (I also had another issue with the G-sensor calibration)
We tried the same thing with the replacement unit they provided me but it also resulted in the same error. This apparently seems to be an issue with the software and they have taken some screenshots (with a digital camera) and will be submitting it to HTC.
Hope they will have a solution soon.

Duplicate contacts in messaging

I dont like doing this but ive come accross a bizzare problem on my HTC tattoo and was wondering if the same issue happens on the Hero

Does anybody else have a problem when composing a sms that when typing a recipient every contact is duplicated (two of each) in the scroll list that appears?
In the people app I have unchecked Google and Sim contacts so I am not sure why this is happening? I only have one contact showing in the people app
also I just used HTC sync with outlook for the 2nd time since getting the phone to see if that would get rid of the duplicate contacts in the messaging app.
Guess what - after the sync ive now got three of evry contact showing on the drop down list. Ive got a feeling that syncing with outlook is causing this.
The only way I can think of getting around this is to master reset the phone then only sync with gmail. Ireally dont want to have to do this - anyone got any better suggestions?

Issues with HTC Calendar time

Hi
I have searched the forum and cannot find any similar issues, I have been using the HTC calendar with success however today when I have tried to add a new appointment the time field is frozen and will not allow me to input a time, it then sends an error report.
I am a novice user with this phone and would appreciate any help you can give me.

I have similar problems. I can neither change the time in the htc calendar. Its frozen, or should I say greyed out and looks very 2D. I have not found a solution to this other than a hard reset, but dont wanna do that. I have worked around the problem by using the wm6 calendar to make new appointments. This will show correctly in the htc calendar, but I want to be able to use the htc calendar as intended. Any help would be awsome......

Did you guys get the problem solved? On my HD2 it's the same, flat, greyed Buttons an nothing touchable. This is very annoying. German Vodafone HD2 unlocked, stock ROM.

Facebook integration stopped?

Hello all,
Im running ChuckyRom on my HD2 with the 2.14 radio i think.
I noticed the other day that my contacts pictures weren't updating as they do on facebook. The i tried the Fb tab and that won't update either. I cant look at my contacts photo albums straight from the contact list, it doesnt list anything at all!
I can use the app fine but the integration doesnt seem to be working anymore
I tried authentication on the fb tab but it just keeps saying "authentication failed" EDIT: says "authorization failed"
any suggestions appreciated,

I have the same problem. My facebook links just suddenly stopped working, although i m running on the original rom. when contacted HTC support centre, they simply suggest to hard reset... I posted the same question in fb- htc hd2 fan site, no body seems to know why..

MS removed support for Bing for WM 6.5 users outside Europe today... Maybe something happened to Facebook as well...
(pointless rant) If this is the case, MS are really shafting us by dis-allowing a WP7 upgrade. All they are doing is shunting us over to Android, and personally, I'm glad this happened to me, as I - a big Windows Mobile supporter - am now in LOVE with, effectively, their biggest competitor.

Well it's re-assuring to know its not the phone i guess.
I can see MS having to shift their priorities to the new WM7. MS always seem to focus on whats making money, rather than customer satisfaction...
Has anyone contacted Microsoft about the problem? i think i've seen a few more threads about Facebook on here, perhaps i'll have a look through them see what's going on

there is a workaround, it's not very convenient but at least it works...Sign off, then sign on again and click refresh

Need a little help here please

hi every one, i have some problems with my HDmini
1.)
recently my twitter app (Peep) stopped working, cant log in any more. i have the newest VODAFONE rom installed (1.41.161.1 WWE) so i suppose i dont need the security peep hotfix and anyway if i try to instal the hotfix a window pops up that says ''this is not compatible with your phone) and when i try to log in the window that pops up says this ''you entered an incorrect username or password'' wich i did not.
2.)
when i tried to conect some of my conctact with their facebook profiles (to get theirs pictures when the call me or send a message) the pictures will not load! not even when i try to see theirs uploaded albums on facebook. none of those pictures simply will not load..no matter what i do.i dont have my conctacts synchronised with outlook, i have all the numbers in the phone memory only.
does any one knows any solutions to those problems please?
i even made a hard reset but nothing has changed.

The problem with twitter app is happening on all htc phones i think, htc need to update the app, and the same thing is happening with facebook on my mini.
i think we need to contact htc support to ask about a fix, i'll let you know if I get a response from them

Hi got no reply from htc about twitter but my facebook pics have reappeared on contacts somehow, nothing i did they just came back after a couple days
