[Q] CyanogenMod 6, GPS-fix???

Hey everyone,
Is there already a fix out for the GPS troubles?
If so, please mention which RC/Nightly I should download...
Currently using NightlyBuild 15.

Gps is working fine for me just that it connects a bit slow. What app do you use?

I've tried Google Maps, Navigation and Waze.
None of them worked with my gps...

What do you use???

Compass prob

Ok u may think am crazy but i have a mad compass on my phone and its fully messed up. I can't get the right direction nor calibrate it so pls guyz help.

Had same problem, solved now.
Try to calibrate it through app called GPS Status.
In app menu chose Tools, Compass calibration.
It worked for me.

Issues with Google Navigation [Viper Rom]

The Google Navigation consequently gets stuck at the "getting driving directions" screen. I am able to use Google Maps perfectly, without any data or GPS disruptions. I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the Google Navigation program but the problem remains. Any help will be greatly appreciated! [please excuse my poor writing skills.]

They released a new version of viper rom a few days ago and this issue is fixed. Give it a try, it works great.

Question about gingersense rom

I was wondering if anybody else could answer this for me? Does the GPS work or is it something I'm doing something wrong (what I mean by that is the GPS will not lock on my position but I see my location when I move just no navigation). When I use other roms it works just fine. Thanks in advance cuz

I was wondering the same thing. I love our gps and when i went to cyn7 it didnt work and had to do some fix things. But i like the htc sense and was thinking of switching unless the gps work.

The Compass doesn't work!!

Hi guys,
The Compass in my A500 Tablet doesn't work completely it always points to one direction even though I rotated and moved the tablet in all direction, please any one can help me to get back my compass working again???

Isn't that the point of a compass to always point in the same direction, namely magnetic north?

No it is not pointing to the correct direction beside this I've an app pointing to few cities such as London, Berlin but now it is not working, I tried another app from playstore and it is only a compass and it is not working too!!
Also I the auto rotation is not working too (accelerometer) :-(

So what custom rom have u installed?

Sorry I'm new to Android world , How can I know my installed ROM?? but I've rooted ICS and if it the image version then it is written in my tablet as:
Acer_AV041_A500_RV05RC01_PA_CUS1

Well there you go. The fact that u rooted the a500 most probably causes your problem with the compass. I am afraid I cant help you in this case. Some of the other guys in the forum may be able to help.

I checked everything after I rooted my device everything was working correctly but the compass issue happened last week and I rooted my device about month ago.

Have a look at my thread here, I think you will find that all the sensors are not working...
