Hey guys. Running Gingerblur 4.5 with the moto keyboard and it runs great. I was wondering if there is an option that corrects common mistakes (for example correcting Im to I'm). Anyone know if this is possible?

Haha the only reason I won't use the Moto keyboard is BECAUSE it won't correct Im to I'm. Is "im" even a word???
The GB keyboard seems to correct things in a far more efficient manner

Hello everyone.
I used to have a Droid Eris, and one of the keyboards in the custom Rom I had installed was the multitouch keyboard that the Droid x uses.
I was wondering if anyone knows where I would be able to get this keyboard for my incredible, as I type too fast for the stock keyboard to keep up easily.
On another note, is it possible to install this keyboard without root? I have a brand new incredible that I accepted the OTA update for (silly me) and now I can't root until a new exploit is found.
Thanks for your time!

Yea, the D2/DX keyboard can just be installed, though it doesn't look pretty. I"ll try to find the APK on my computer but I think I erased it because I got Swype the same week
Here you go
Also unrevoked is being updated, check the threads
Thanks for the apk
And yeah, I know unrevoked is getting an update soon. Can't wait!

Just flashed gingerbread keyboard on my droid 2 but landscaping mode is small. Any suggestions on where to find the .zip that has the bigger landscaping keyboard? Btw I'm running latest apex rom if that matters
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA App
a fixed version was posted in the latest release thread for the apex rom which fixed the size while in portrait. Its still small in landscape yes, which I would assume he didn't want to waste much time on that for the simple reason that if you are already holding the phone that way you might as well just slide the physical keyboard out anyhow. Just a guess.
Thanks for the info. Ill try it out. Not many people respond to my messages lol but thanks

I am having trouble finding out how to put the stock keyboard on rubix blurry 2.0. Can someone help me out? Thanks.
+1 me two. That's the only reason im not using rubix and im very sad. My phone loves rubix better then any rom. So for now im on liberty using multi-touch keyboard. The weird thing is I've had it in rubix 1.9.7 before but the way I put it on doesn't work.

Anyone? With all these talented people, I know someone has to know how to successfully get the keyboard onto Rubix Blurry.
I've done it before a few times but for some reason the method I used is not working. I don't know why. Just hope that Drod will add a toolbox down the line.

Do you have the stock moto keyboard zip file? Or is that the wrong keyboard?

Hi guys, great forum with some great tips.
Just got my xperia play and love it to bits.
Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but I find the keyboard very inaccurate and slow to respond.
When I compare it to my previous Iphone and HTC desire it seems poor.
Any suggestions for tweeking or any options for downloading another keyboard.
Thanks in advance
Chris
Swype
Takes a bit of getting used to swyping but you can also just use it normally to type and its much more accurate than the stock keyboard
im having the same issues , i tried gingerbread keyboard lite which was much more accurate but i was a constant running process in the backgroung using around 30mb , i wish there was a way to edit the stock xperia play keyboard i.e button size height and load a custom user dictionary, yes there are other keyboards like smart, better or swype but really sony should update / fix the stock one.
anyone know if once youve installed a 3rd party keyboard can you safely remove the stock one if rooted and not encounter any problems ?.......
SwiftKey is better to use then the stock keyboard. It just takes a bit of time to get use to.

How's the consensus on HTC_IME keyboard?
I remember it was all the rage when the X10 was released but I haven't been annoyed with the stock keyboard (yet) to give it a try.

I personally hate the htc keyboard..I always used alternate keyboards when I had my HTC.
I use swiftkey, while a tad too busy for my taste, it works damn well once you set it up to your liking. The arrow keys make me not miss my trackpad, and the numberpad-style number page is awesome.
I started using one of the Iphone keyboards.
Find it much better though still not as good as my Iphone.
I just paid for number pad a t9 keyboard its fantastic

yesss... swype is the best.. just installed it yesterday. very accurate and its free..
Hello fellas, I was wondering if I could get some feedback based on people's experience on which could be the best alternative keyboard for an x10?
I'm using the default one with wolfbreak 6.0s and it is laggy for ne most of the time.
All suggestions would be really appreciated, thanks in advance!

Swype beta rocks. Using it on WB 6.0. Doesn't seem to be many issues.

I like Swype and also swiftkey x
I use Swype Beta... And its working pretty well... The only thing, is when it is your first time using it, you are going to find it a bit difficult... But when you get used to it, you are going to type fast...
Ahhh I found out why the keyb was lagging! I just tried removing prediction and autocorrects and now this is blazing fast!
But anyway, I would like to try something new just to see how's better!

Maybe I'll give SwiftkeyX another go, but I did try it on my X10 (had it free from an Amazon promotion) and found it not as good as Thumbs.
