Hi ,
You should try to do this:
Go on your message page > bottom option menu > Save SMS (bottom left option) > "From phone to memory card". It should do a copy of all your message (one by one)

So i changed from the 8125 to the wing and I have discovered it is much more difficult to send a new text message. You have to go through like 5 different commands...(open the message bar, select text message account, tap menu, scroll to new, scroll to sms) it just seems so tedious so i was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make it so i can have new message be one of my soft key choices (preferably where the delete soft key is). Its really annoying.
Thanks BP
How about when you install the HTC Home plugin, I HAD one until i bricked my phone yesterday :'( it came with the PDAVIET rom which was released some time ago.
What it does is, it shows on the Today screen a link to Email and one to SMS.
That's probably the fastest way.
Cheers
how 'bout putting the command "new sms" under a softkey ?
Or simply install the program "name" (sorry forgot the name) that puts a "New" menu at your left soft-key in the today screen, from there you can choose sms, e-mail, mms etc.. Just search for New menu
Press Contacts softkey. Scroll to the intended recipient. Tap, hold, pick "Send Text Message". Type text message. Press Send softkey.
What's the problem?
How About VIJay?
Hello,
I use VijaySMS All the time... It allows you to make a shortcut (I use SPB Today so I create the shortcuts in there) that either starts a blank SMS or start one to a specific contact. You can find the program at Vijay's webpage here: http://www.vijay555.com/
Enjoy!
You could set up the Message button to automatically go to your SMS Inbox when you press it.
Messaging Inbox > Menu > Tools > Options...
Select Text/SMS and uncheck "Display account picker when opening Messaging." This will automatically open your SMS Inbox, thus eliminating the first two steps of your problem.
I have installed the TF3D in my x1 but the youtube.exe shortcut under internet is not working,popping up an error meassage-The file youtube can't be opened.Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. If problem persists try reinstalling or restoring the file.
Why is that ? Please help
And one more issue..The TF3D isn't working in landscape mode? Is that common or any chance to fix it?
I think the youtube problem is about the language id at the end of youtube.exe (for example an english phone has youtube.exe.0409, and my swedish phone has youtube.exe.041d) in your windows folder. Check here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2931376&postcount=456
And about landscape mode, it just doesn't work with TF3D.
Thanks. Another issue i found that the sms notification is disabled.How to Enable that?
You mean a notification that the message was delivered?
If so, check here:
Start > Message function (or something like that), SMS \ MMS is selected right away, so click Menu > Options > click SMS \ MMS > and check the notification box.

No buddy,not that. I want the incoming text message notification at the left bottom of the x1 screen which stays there untill you read the message. Is there any option to enable that?
As far as I know, that notification only stays there for 10 seconds.
Don't know if there is an option to keep it there until you read the message.

Disable the tf3d,back to ur x1 home screen,send a message from ur other cell,u'll find for how long the notification stays there...
I don't have TF3D enabled. Just using the first ordinary panel, and the message stays there for 10 seconds..
Hi
On the Diamond I could mark more messages for deletion with either my finger or the pen, in HD I can only delete one at a time, very annonying.
Does anyone have a fix for this ?
Thanks a lot.
Carsten
When looking at the list of messages, press Menu > Select > Several and you can select whichever ones you want.
This sort of information is usually in the manual too.

I can select all contacts In my contacts open but when i go to SMS option i dont have them all. If i choose contacts I can choose the person then send text but not by sms menu

EDIT : I have another question because I don't find the solution anywhere, is it possible to change the 'link' when I click on LAUNCH NAVIGATOR button ? Because I would like to launch OPERA MOBILE (actually this open HTC Opera )
Maybe a beginning of solution for Opera :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila2D\InternetW idget\Customized\1]
"NoDescription"=dword:1
"CustomizedURL"="\\Windows\\iexplore.exe"
"CustomizedDescription"="Browse The INternet Using Internet Explorer"
"CustomizedTitle"="Internet Explorer"
I have to know the path of Opera Mobile
For the notification I finally find a reponse :

Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab. Under event, hit the drop down box and select, "Messaging: New text message". Now you will see your options for when you receive a new text message (i.e.- display on screen, play sound, vibrate, etc.).
