[Q] Convert MAGLDR to cLK - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi Folks!
Now we have a lot of NAND ROMS and 2 loaders.
Is there any tutorial that explain how to convert a MAGLDR ROM in a cLK?
This is only to understand how they works and to improve my Android skills
Many thanks!

I would like to know this too - anyway without starting from the scratch? Or is it not possible because the ROM I might have installed is meant for Magldr?

Not from starting to scratch
For example, I would like to convert this ROM (no need to data2ext and full stock Sense):
[31 DEC] gauner1986's HD-FI 0.3 (Desire HD based) [KERNEL = my own ]
In same time, I would upgrade the kernel to RAFPIGNA 1.9OC in the package.
I have see in the cLK thread that we need to modify the boot.img but I don't know exactly what we need to do
Or in the same way, editing the official MIUI in order to make it "cLK compliant"

hej
thanks for your comment
yeah you are rite jumping to kernel and then dead
I've tried several versions and other like frojo
what is actually a kernel?
what kernel you advice me
if you tell me what can explain more about it than I understand myself
all fixed thanks
The kernel is the OS core that's making possible the OS to speak with the hardware. If you don't have the kernel complied for your hardware then the OS will not work with it. It's like an translator between your OS and the Hardware
You can try downloading this and replacing the zImage and modules.

Hey man it's super simple to make it work
This are the basic steps :
1. Upgrade to a radio version bigger then 2.08 because it will not boot with a lower version.
2. Load a custom ROM on your HTC HD2 ( i use chuck rom's)
3. put the android folder on your SD card an IT WILL WORK.
THIS ARE THE TOPICS THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE IT WORD:
For radio and all info stuf ( [REF] ★★★The Definitve Guide To Android On HTC HD2 ★★★ [ UPDATED 28 / JULY / 2010 ] )
And for the chuck ROM ( [ROM][WWE][26.09.2010]ChuckyROM GTX + CHT 1.8.5 - 23138 ~ 3.14 *Comes with Kitchen* )
SEARCH THEM IN THE FORUM
GOOD LUCK!

[Q] TEST ANDROID over other Windows Mobile ROM

I want to know if it is worth a try? What do you think? I sounds like a good idea

I dont know what Roms you have available for your device but it may be worth adding a section with what Roms (stock or custom) work with Android and what ones arent working correctly. While Android is emulated, there are still some WinMo drivers that affect the operation of your Android port and certain Roms may not work.
It may be worth trying to flash a different Rom and then try Android again.
Mark.

I currently use:
ROM-Version (Vodafone)Switzerland German: 1.41.166.1, (10904) Radio:0.63.05.41
the next one I will try is:
[ROM][25.06.2011][WWE-ITA-FRA-ELL-GER-RUS-SPA-NLD-DAN] ver 3.10 nsourm -build 29022
ver.5 - RUU_Signed_????no_sense_clean.nbh is without sense and cookies home tab and without extra apps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801481
The nsourm rom is highly recommended and very stable (version 3.1) I also run this base WM6.5 ROM too (without sense and without cookies home tab). It seems to be quite compatible with the Android port as it mostly follows stock rom philosophy.
The other optional cab that has been installed is the stock icons.cab located here as without it, my SPB shell doesn't show all the icons properly. I have no problems with the Android Loader 1.0 dual boot application (set to autoboot after 10 seconds). I'd first flash the stock ROM then this one if wanting to change from another custom ROM.
you tried over nsourm 3.1 and Android works well, but have you tried over your stock ROM? and have you noticed any difference? such as. that something works better, or that something is not working at all?
I have not tried Android with my stock ROM and don't want to go back to stock ROM either as I still need to use WM6.5 from time to time - because there is no Garmin for Android! Stock ROM used to crash often whereas with nsourm 3.1 it is definitely much more stable given it incorporates more recent builds. I would assume that given nsourm is close to stock ROM philosophy (but with much more recent builds) that there would not be much difference to anything that ran in Android. Maybe someone has already tested for the differences.. and can let us know the results!
Hi, 15Ma1l,
I tried four different of HTC Official ROMs for my htc mini, and I can say: There isn't any Difference and all of them were same when booting android. and I knew this idea for months.
but I didn't tried nsourm ROM, because of arabic persian unicode support?
thank you for answers !
iPlasm could you please write a list with these ROMs you already tried?

Sure, I will
1- The Originally Phone's ROM. (I don't know what was the Name of ROM image)
2- RUU_Photon_HTC_ARA_1.36.415.4_Radio_Signed_32.2807.05.06_0.63.05.41_Ship
3- RUU_Photon_HTC_ITA_1.36.408.1_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship
4- RUU_Photon_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.36.707.3_Radio_Signed_32.2803.05.06_0.63.05.36_Ship
And now I'm on HTC Asia WWE, forth once.
If there is better than these ROM images, I will Thank you for you... but IT Must support Unicode arabic and persian

Hi. I'm using this MIUI android http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1199917 (see post 2) and I had no problems with him. I'm using with magldr . (with clk I had signal problems). For installation follow the instructions at the end of the 6 post. You'll find everything you need in the downloaded [CWR] archive. I'm using with original kernel OC 1,2 GHz via SetCPU ONDEMAND governor (with dorimanx kernel (OC 1,6) I had a lot of freezes). (And that ROM have the Italian language). Sorry for my English and good luck.
Thanks you.
Anyone else with suggestions?

What exactly is your question though? If you want to know how to flash a ROM, see the guide in my sig. If you want to know which ROM to flash, then nobody can help you because there's no best ROM as such.

how can i do it ?

hi all
i'm running NexusHD2-Gingerbread V3.3a on native sd, i need to flash ( MIUI_Camera_v15_update.zip )add on which work on nand, how can i convert it to be able to used on native SD ?
Are you sure you can even flash that .zip with that ROM? One's MIUI and one's AOSP, I'm not sure if it would work.
