I've been a new member here on these forums. Just letting newer users know that I found a helpful tutorial on YouTube that helped me root my phone.

I get where they are coming from...it's annoying to see Verizon's branding turning into the general term for any Android phone. It confuses things and helps a crappy company define the market.
That said, it's a common thing and no need to break balls over it.
I will change the title of the thread. Thank you for the helpful suggestion. This guide just helped me root my phone!

you know if you looked in android dev section, you wouldve found a stupid easy way to root your phone with the autoroot program that is there...

Kind of odd that they would call him. And... did he actually patent the app or did he just put it up for sale? Also, it's a common feature. It isn't as if they were going to avoid adding this because one person or a dozen people created an application to do it. Secondly, it isn't like they are selling it. It is merely included in the os.

im gonna try to force the kernal to pull some funny biz with the rom see if i can get antyhing through there im stuck on kernal all i know well enoufh to do anything
I'm unable to be much help with this all I can do now is well nothing some reason now my terminal isn't working and have to check my desktop kernal I think my permitons

Just letting every one know that chase released an update for us evo users. I know alot of people were having problems with it.

Ppl should just download appbrain...it tells u when there's an update for your apps or games

My evo sometimes takes forever to tell me there's an update.
I have a better bank than chase. Plus I wouldn't advertise what bank i have. Here, I have a special apk file for chase you can use. :-D sound good? haahhahahhaa It's really special, it tells me all your information I need to know. your dollars and cents and where you buy your bras at. :-D
