Something I've noticed on my atrix, but doesn't massively bother me though is that I have a bit of blue tinting on the screen by the loud speaker when I have whites or greys on the screen...
Any ideas or just a faulty screen?

I was wondering if it is common to have a little color bleed by an edge of the screen on the nook color. On a completely black screen, I have a little bit of a green color shadow to the left of the nook bottom. Is my nook defective?
I think I know what you're describing... I get a little bit of that on the bottom of my nook when it's showing a black screen. Someone else will probably chime in, but I assumed it was "normal".
Yep, a faint greenish glow just above the n button. Hadn't noticed till now. Only barely visible with a black bacground and a dark room.
K, mine is a little more noticeable but not a big problem. Looks like it seems to be a common trait for the nook. Thanks for easing my mind.
i have this problem(maybe common in amoled devices) if i take gray pitchure and put it on background there is distorsion in grey. like brighter and darker stripes(but you need to look it realy good) for exsample download program screen helper lite and tell me do you see stripes on main gray program screen.

I think that he meant this:

I dont think he is refering to both yellowish screens or banding.
I'm having this issue too. It doesnt show itself unless the screen brightness is turned down, and especially an grey background. There will be faint large vertical stripes. It is as if the backlighting is uneven. Increase the brightness and it'll go away.
Seeing that i do not have the yellowish screen problem, no stuck/dead pixels and no bluish tint problem, im very reluctant to send this phone back for a replacement due to this problem. Its something that i can live with.
So I've noticed a very slight, but annoying issue on my Fire. When I'm reading with a black background and white text, I find the whites on the left side of the screen is bright white, then gradually fades to a duller white towards the right side. I flipped the screen to make sure I wasn't crazy, and then the whites were on the right side.
Is this a manufacturing defect, or an issue they all have? Granted, it's subtle, but still is starting to distract me when I'm reading at night and don't want the bright white background.
As an alternative, is there a way to adjust colors in the native reading app (besides the three preset)? I've sideloaded Aldiko, but the right sides of text cut off.
Has anyone noticed uneven brightness on the screen.
Mine appears slighter darker (a little blueish) along the length of the left hand side. It's barely noticeable but if you look it can be seen
So I was just getting used to the green tint on my screen by applying a dark filter to reduce the green effect to suddenly realise it completly disappeared from my screen totally by itself!! I'm just glad I didn't do a screen change yet!!
