I'd use any of the 3 radios below.

Welcome to the Eugenia Radios Project Thread!
So... I've extracted the Radio ROMs from all the HTC stock ROMs out there and I'm giving you the download link for these, in case you want to flash only the RADIO ROM!

You can use any radio above 2.06.50 safely on a T-Mobile HD2.
Just download the one you want, turn your phone off, then turn it on while holding the vol-down button, then run the RUU from your pc.
EDIT: ALSO, DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT FLASH ANY RADIO WITH A .51 IN IT. ONLY .50

ive read somewhere that i had to reflash the same radio that i have or upgrade. how do i check which one i have????

You are running Android so just go to Setting>scroll all the way down to About phone> Baseband version. The Base band version is actually your Protocol version and Radio version. I will use mine for example.
Blue= Protocol version Red=Radio version
15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14

If would not have to reflash the same radio, that won't help anything.
You could change your radio to a different one, "upgrade" doesn't really mean anything, sometimes the 2.12.50 radio gives better reception than the 2.15.50 radio depending on location and ROM, so check your current version as above poster mentioned and flash a different one to see if it helps.

for cooks?
i am downloading this right now, but is it a flashable rom or for cooking use? i am always down to try a cooked rom and even more apt to flash an official rom. will have to wait for the download to finish to see.
is it WWE ?
Thanks Huda.
Regards.
Thanks.
Yes, it's WWE, because it's from T-Mobile USA.
Wonder, if there will be european (official) versions of the 2.xx Roms.
Thanks at least we can get some stuff from the OEM with this one. I'm sure it is WWE since it is TMOUS.

so when it does finally finish downloading (internet at work slower than sin), is it flashable straight to the phone?
Yep it is really fast too although it has lots of links to games and even what i think are both transformers movies which would be on the storage card =/
It should be since it is a ship .exe file. But I'm wondering about if you have HSPL will it still flash the SPL or not? I don't think so but not sure. I know with HSPL you can flash factory ROM's and it doesn't erase the HSPL.
25 mins then its mines, want the OEM and OemXipKernal

Stock Roms will only overwrite HardSPL with the stock SPL if flashed via microSD Card. Thats the only way to get everything back to factory settings for warranty purposes.

Should i just flash this straight to my phone or use HSPL?
So being that this is a time-bombed, one time boot ROM it's not really worth anything but cooking. There was a way with 2.02 to flash off of memcard so that it wasn't a one time boot. I know because I did it. Is there a way to do it with this one as well? Thanks for the post.

If you already have HardSPL then you can just synch and run the exe file to flash it directly. No need to extract the nbh or use customruu
You wont be able to flash it without HardSPL and I wouldnt recommend trying.
Has a few new programs I havent seen on before. Also includes Microsoft Voice Command v1.6.21889 which I havent seen on any other roms (unless I just have bad vision lol). 576MB Ram present and correct. Visual VoiceMail?? No eReader Tab as on 2.05 though.
Thanks alot mate Intresting stuff. Could any one test the rotation of this manila?

Help please

After reading up and watching videos decided to update my rom, the current was an energy rom but I just decided to update to the latest, so I downloaded the rom plugged my phone in and went through all the procedure as it goes, it updated a success! Then when it restarted my phone it just won't come on?? just the pink loading circle. what have I done??
did you check that you have a radio that works with the rom you have used? boot to bootloader, flash the radio, try again.

read the chefs rom thread, first few posts. It will tell you the minmum radio needed.
You flash a radio just like a rom, and (if that WAS the problem) the phone shoulod boot after flashing the radio.
perhaps I'm being dumb but I can't see anywhere a minimum radio rom required
hehe, ok, so that chef doesn't include details of the required radio, shame on them!
I'd have a try with radio 2.08, since it's the latest.
You can always remove it later.
cheers, I updated to 2.08 and all works now!!
no worries, happy to help.

HSPL

Trying to locate it and download within the forums....?...link anyone?
I've read enough to here mixed reviews and opinions about Android requiring a custom Rom/HSPL or not. Apparently some people have had success with the stock Rom and Android alone. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them. So, I understand step one is HSPL...step two...custom Rom, I'm going with HD2 Core Cell...step 3...Darkstorm's Froyo Build...
Is there a specific HSPL for Tmobile USA phone? I'm sure it's 1024...think that's the only one manufactured for the U.S.
Thanks
Did you check your radio version? If it's not 2.08 or higher then that's your problem.
HSPL/HSPL2
HSPL3 <-- should work for all HD2 inculding Tmous.
I have HSPL2 (3 was not out yet) so I know that works too.
Edit: Just saw you have radio 2.10.. so nm, I guess your one of the ones who needs to flash a custom ROM.

Strange how that works. I never got a question answered in the Rom forum, perhaps you know. Will Microsoft My Phone restore all supported features over to the new Rom?
I havn't tested it personally, but iirc it should work. My Phone only backs up content like calendar, appts, contacts, pics, etc. but no registry or personal settings. This would make it (afaik) compatable with any ROM. The My Phone website states that you can back up data and transfer it to a new or upgraded phone. I see no reason why it wouldn't work with a new (ROM) phone.

[WARNING][SOLVED] Installing New T-Mobile update for HD2 disables HSPL

T-mobile sent me a text this morning about a major update.... I fell for it! Once installed it try's to prevent custom ROM installs. I was unable to back to energy ROM see attatched pic
Didn't it just wipe your HSPL? Did you try and run HSPL3 again?
Boot loader still displays HSPL but will give it a shot. bastards!
Thanks
I don't know if the T-Mobile version use the same SPL version as the Europe/Asian on (SPL 3.03)
But if this is the case, there isn't a HSPL version who is compatible with the new SPL 3.03 version jet.
So don't use HSPL, and remove HSPL before installation of this Rom!!!
You are using a wrong CustomRUU Flashing utility.
Use the one specific for HD2.
Removed HSPL and re-applied before I saw post about incompatibility... yep does not work... no custom ROM for me for a while looks like

I am using the one that worked last night and is packaged with Energy... so if you have any suggestions on which one you might be reffering to would be much appreciated.
If you have removed HSPL, and you will install a custom Rom use the SSPL procedure to install custom Rom.
Like I mentioned before I can't test it fore you (Belgium device) but on the European version I can get custom Rom on this way! (by using SPL 3.03)
Hope this can help you out.

Try with attached and let us know.
Also, try to post a screenshot of your boot screen. It may help for some solution.
I had no issues installing the T-Mobile rom, running Task29 and then flashing radio 2.15.50 and CleanEx Ultra custom rom.
I did this all via USB cable
CustomRUU same issue.. nothing new. here is my boot loader... BootloaderNew is the new Bootloader after installing new T-Mobile update

Try HSPL3, & select to update to 2.08HSPL from scroll down list.
It may take longer but should work.
If no, then you may need to use SD card flashing method with your original regional ROM.

I installed the update just fine. This is the official T-mob US update 3.14.531.1 with radio 2.15.x.x from here: http://support.t-mobile.com/doc/tm54430.xml?
you will be asked for your IMEI identifier.

Seems to be 100 percent isolated to Energy ROM... Core Cell Evo and Clean EX both flash perfectly

Question about switching radios

I am having battery life problems on every rom I try, ever since leaving windows 6.5. I just read a thread saying updating radios helps just about any phone's battery last longer. I have a tmous 1024 hd2, that is currently on 2.08.50. And it already has magldr 1.3, clockwork recovery, and mdj's cm7. This is probably a noob question, but i would like to be 100% sure I dont mess my phone up for good while trying to switch radios. Can a new radio just get flashed over all of the things I have setup or do I need to revert to stock windows? Whats the most recent radio I should use? A link to where to download it would be great, Thanks!
I just downloaded this radio: 2.15.50.14, Now I am basically just stuck at if I can flash it over all my things installed, or if I need windows 6.5 so I can connect it to active sync
Boot into the multi coloured bootloader and flash the new radio. It will not impact on magldr or the rom. Click on the link in my signature for my radio version and you will find download links there.
Thanks, so basically just put the .nhb radio file in the same folder I create for the custom ruu.exe, then boot phone into tri colored screen, then run the .exe program?
Yip, that'll do it
Cool thanks again. I just noticed you were helping me in the other thread too, good looking out.

I will do that thanks, i know I was not having any battery issues prior to switching to android, and I have wiped the battery stats a few times, but not with all the extra steps in that little tutorial. I will post a reply later saying if the new radio/wiped battery stats did anything!
