Hey there,
anyone noticed that video capture in hd mode is very very laggy with omnia 7?
Is there any solution?
Thanks
Greetings
I noticed that upon capturing, yes. However, after reviewing the video, it seems that there's no lag. Maybe WP7 cannot record and display at 25 fps at the same time?
I noticed this and also the view/capture window is smaller too.
I posted something a week or two back on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14065038#post14065038
When played back on the PC however it is nice and smooth.

Hi all, just want to check with you guys, is the youtube playback on your respective HD clear and smooth? Mine isn't clear at all with choppy playback. Even my friend's iphone has clearer playback compared to my HD. Is this normal?

Mine is choppy for the first part of whatever movie I'm watching, I think because it's still buffering in the background. After a while it's done and the video runs silky smooth.
By the way, I only watch YouTube over WiFi.
mine doesn't even after it has load finish, there's poor frame rate and is still slightly choppy. is it normal for it to have poor frame rate/choppiness cause when i view the same clip on my laptop, it's rather clear.
excellent response and framerate (over wifi) using the buit-in utube player but very poor using Coreplayer or other.. Could also be a router issue.
hmm..it has constantly poor frame rate playback no matter where i am, so i doubt it's a router issue. Am I the only one with this problem? It's kinda disheartening to see such poor playback on a HD device..
Mine has smooth, clear playback. I've only tested it using the HSDPA connection. A 17 MB video (4 minutes long) loaded and buffered really quickly (in max 8 seconds) and played smoothly and clear from start to finish.
It could be a problem with the connection, or with a lot of other applications running at the same time, or YouTube itself is sometimes buggy for a certain period of time (even on my desktop PC).
Try restarting or soft-reset your phone. Then connect to your PC via USB cable and activesync. Now view a youtube video. Does that change anything or is it still slow?
My experience with youtube both on wifi and 3g has been excellent I must say. there are some inconsistencies with how the files appear. most will appear FULL SCREEN, some appear as a square box in the middle of the screen (in landscape it's full height, just not the length of the screen). This may simply be something to do with the encoding of the video on youtube, not the connection of program. Just wish iplayer would work over 3 G now lol

So, I've started to take a few videos with my streak, however I've noticed that, when playing back anything I've recorded in HD, the audio quickly goes out of sync with the video, lagging behind it. This happens on both my phone, and on my PC.
Has anyone else experienced this? And, if so, does anyone have a fix?
I have a UK Streak running 2.1
Cheers guys.
Honestly, when I saw that a 720p recording that I made was only 9FPS, I set it back to standard def and haven't tried it again since.
Hi
At one time I tried to record a video where zoom in and out was used. The problem was that the zoom out after zooming in for some minutes causes the video on display and the recorded file to become corrupted on the right side of the video.
Can any one verify this problem ?
That was the first trying to record a video on the new phone on a particular occasion and a surprising issue was on display.
Then I didn't use the camera at all for few weeks.
Then after a few week trying to replicate the issue and it was reproducible.
What do you think?
So no body is interested in this issue or is it just my phone?
Hi there!
Occasionally, when using the slow motion setting the video will record, play back in slow motion, but the fps will not be up to par - as in, it'll be set to 240 fps but will most definitely look choppier and not as smooth as I know it should be. A restart of the phone usually fixes this but there's no way to tell if it's not working until I record a video and play it back. Any one else experiencing this? Also, all the sample slo-mo videos online look so crisp and clear, while my videos tend to look pretty noisy, even with decent light. Any input is appreciated.
I've had issues when viewing the videos in Google Photos as well. Not sure if it's related to the video or other HDR photos still processing, or just Google Photos doing whatever it does to index them. I have sync set to charging only and wifi only, but when I was at my grandma's house taking videos of her dog jumping and doing tricks, when I played them back they would play OK the first time, but if I started moving the sliders and jumping to different spots in the video, it would freeze up or get really choppy.
Hoping it will be fixed with an app update soon.
I am having the exact same issue you described. It's not a playback issue. It's choppy even played back on a computer.
It is supposed to capture at 240 fps and stretch that out into a 30 fps video file. Look at the properties of a slow-mo video file, it should say something like 29 fps. When mine isn't working correctly, and the playback isn't smooth, that video file's properties says 7 fps. So, it seems like it's capturing 4 times slower than it's supposed to, at 60 fps or something.
Restarting my phone fixes it, for a few days. I've only had the phone a couple weeks and have had this happen twice now. No clue why this happens. Surely it's more widespread than just us.
As for the grainy noise, you have to have a lot of light, more than you'd need for a normal video. Mine are pretty grainy unless there's a ton of light.
Yeah, mine becomes choppy too sometimes. A reboot fixes it for a while. I've seen this issue posted a few different places so I think it's a software/firmware problem that Google will need to resolve.
Just wanted to add that I have the exact same problem, meaning that it still hasn't been fixed.
I know this is an old post, but I just got a 6p and I too have this issue. I'm even on DP4 so it's not fixed yet in this release either... Reboot is the only temporary fix I've found.
Hello everyone,
I noticed a very annoying problem on the OP 8 Pro.
When recording videos in 4k at 60fps, as soon as I open the camera app, they tend to lag / shutter for the first few seconds, also sometimes the moving subjects are jerky sometimes.
sample video: https://photos.app.goo.gl/vvKpfSwH6bQENthd9
I noticed this problem in 4k 60fps especially in the 16: 9 mode while it seems to disappear in the 21: 9 one
I'm on oxygen os 12 C33 EU. has anyone noticed these problems? how can it be solved?
Thanks
