..but for some reason it doesn't work on my Iconia =(
connects ok.. but then internet doesn't work
does it work with other vpn services? or.. is it a honeycomb/iconia problem?
do I need a specific app?

I have tried different VPN services and I have the same issue. Anyone can help ? Thanks.
I can also confirm this problem, work PPTP VPN works fine but any of the free PPTP VPNs don't seem to work at all.

There were a couple of VPN clients for cisco on wm2003, but nothing seems to work on wm5+
openvpn runs fine... i wish that someone skilled could fix some problems while using it on the diamond (little conflicts with tf3d, better integration, etc)

you need to learn something on openvpn's client/server method... there are a lot of howto's around, it's not hard... I could link you to something I've written but it's in italian

..after reading that, you will know enough for setting up your own OpenVPN connection, but my OpenVPN in TouchPro is not working ..and I'm using the same config for PPC and PC...

i had issues with a bridged vpn while had no problem (it worked at first time) with a routed vpn... no problem for me except i cannot join my samba shares even using a wins server

Which clients works for Cisco VPN? Anyone of those free?
I tried to run OpenVPN on my touch pro, but it just appeared to open but didn't display itself. I did a soft reset and it still wouldn't work. Any ideas?
Try to disable the TF3D plugin, there is an icon on Today Screen

I have not tried, but I think I can't use a cisco PCF with bluefire. I would have to make the connection from scratch, I think I would have to insert a group password, and possibly to know your MS username.

tried everything. Can't seem to get Cisco IPSec VPN connection working. Also tried lots of apps as well. Has anyone out got a VPN solution.

after instaling anthaVPN, my HD2 can't anymore connect to my home wireless.
i can't find any wireless to connect.
can you have any hint to solve this?
Changed the ROM, (miri) and reloaded Bluefire, and Bingo. Works ok, with Group Sec.

i don't know if it is a miracle or what, but after 4 or 5 reinstallation and disintallation of antha, my wifi work again
now i am testing some reboots to be certain that it work.
i am sure, but at the last install and unistall, i shutdown the phone, not reboot it with some application.
simply i shut it down and then start it up. and it worked.
damn buggy software!

I'd like to know if any of you have had trouble with Remote RDP Enterprise from your phone to a server via VPN (3g and WiFi)? I ask because when I try it, I get a black screen and it doesn't connect. (once in a while, it will connect, and I'll get the logon screen, but it'll freeze there and FC.)
Now, if I'm at work, on the wifi, it works perfectly.
Also, I've tried remote VNC through VPN, and it works, but I'm not happy with its interface. I've also tried Remoid, and it works through VPN, but I don't like its interface either.
I have no troubles at all when connecting from any of my laptops/netbooks, only from the EVO on VPN. Any ideas?

Thanks, I tried that along with the others, but I don't really like it, and same results.
I recently bought this device, but I am disappointed since there are no wifi proxy settings.
I rooted it and installed trans proxy, proxymator etc,
but i cant use the web through wifi proxy,

Wifi proxy? That does not even exist !!!
Just go and get yourself a wired phone.

You can do PPTP vpn if u need to, web proxy is so last century..
There's no wifi proxy baked into android. This makes it useless for most enterprise networks, I.e. you can't use an android with a radius server for enterprise WPA authentication and proxy. Apparently we might be getting it in gingerbread.
If you look in the general android discussion there's a kludge that kinda works.
Your other option is to get an iPhone, ios has had support for wifi proxy/ enterprise wpa from the get go.
I know, it's ridiculous, blame Google...

It won't work if you are connecting via ad-hoc. You may install connectify to your laptop and use that internet connection for your x8/whatever phone/device.

I am beginning to get sick of this phone and this OS, no wifi proxy, no way to install to SD card except of hundreds of steps, google navi doesn't work, get's stucked at the beginning, exagerated price for unlocking...

ASProxy requires your phone to be rooted and iptables are required.
