I mean like find and edit each part of touchflo like make your own slide, or edit the clock and so on. How do you design those yourself on a computer?

Whilst I never asked the question, I perused this forum for a while thinking "WTF are they talking about with manila?". Therefore, I would've easily overlooked the quoted post not realising it referred to TFL3D.

In principle, you are right. The guy could have searched. But what are you, the search sheriff? Your posts rebuking people for not searching are cluttering the boards almost as much as the uninformed questions. Is there a problem with just ignoring the post?
Not only that, but the search function on these boards is notoriously bad. It just doesn't work well. For people who are very familiar with the xda fora, it's easier to navigate and find what you are looking for. But for the uninitiated, this place is just a huge maze of information.
The interesting thing is that you bothered to find some helpful threads for him. Why not do that without berating the person? Or if it really bothers you that much, why not just ignore the question? Do you pay for the bandwidth here?

What are you??? the anti-search sheriff? Posting in a junk thread doesn't clutter anything especially if it will teach the poster something and he will never again do it. Now, posting junk threads is clutter. Asking the same question 1 million times is clutter. If I ignore it, he will do it again...GET IT?
I have never had any issues with the search function. Maybe you are doing it wrong. About the huge maze of information - that's the point isn't it??? If I ignore him, he will do it again...GET IT? (second time)

In case you haven't notice, the original poster cannot edit the original post because the poster has been BANNED. Most likely because whatever he was doing was shady.....this thread should die.

The person has been banned for at least 4 days if I remember correctly.....so I think you just didn't notice it earlier....
I love this forum and am on here every day. However, I find it hard to wake up in the morning and read through several pages of when is the update coming or flashing now etc.etc.etc.
I am not sure if a moderator has the abilityor not but, to me, It seems that all the useless posts should be cleaned up and removed from [DEV] threads. That way all the pertinant information reguarding the thread can be found in just a few pages instead of tons. Thus eliminating most of the how do you root, how do you flash, how do you, (well i think you get the picture).
Anywho,Just my humble opinion.

If I was a mod I would clean all the Dev threads but well I am just a poster

even to clean just the dev threads that are most important are filled with so much useless posts it would take a lot of work for a mod to clean up

Not sure how vBulletin works, but I know when I used to mod on PHPbb/Punbb forums, moderators had the option to do batch deletes on posts.

Maybe there should be a Android Dev forum for the cdma hero like the gsm hero have.
Someone had suggested in the darchstar rom thread that dev threads should have a rule that no one can post unless they have at least 200 posts under their belt. (or something like that)
I'm not sure if the forum has those kind of options, but that would cut down on some of the silliness that is asked on the threads by noobs. (usually because they didn't even take the time to read through all the posts and see that the same question had been asked, and answered, 10 other times)
I would sure like to see it. Even though I'm not close to 200 posts yet

No. I will post a question to him if I please. It's not hurting anyone else and its not "useless" as you implied with your reference to the title of this thread. His response could be of use to other people.
even though i know people will jump on my back for this I agree...some people on thius forum provide valuable help and services and then some people just think they are getting paid by xda to police forums....they act like they have stock in xda and have a say....although they may find some topics useless..some dont...so dont waste your time by acting like your gods gift to xda cause it legitimetly does no one any good

Small tip, this is a development forum. A lot of those apps were probably written by guys here who make their living as software developers. (I do just not for android, yet).
First thing you should do is edit your first post to remove the link, apologize, then post something constructive that might not get you banned.
Just a friendly hint.
