[15/10/08] Manila 2d in Landscape Workaround

Hi guys,
If you're like me, and you constantly flip open your keyboard to find that once you go to the Today screen, your Manila 2d makes your device rotate back to Portrait, you're in luck

How it Works:
Inside the .cab is Mortscript, which is vital for this to work. There is a script that runs while Device.exe (which should always be running) that reads whether the device is in Portrait or Landscape, and checks off TouchFlo and checks my Touchflo-skinned RLToday, and vice-versa. Then it redraws the Today screen. However, it does take a while to do all of this, but the effect is worth while

this one is just convenient shortcuts, while his is just landscape Manila 2D
however, I don't know how that's going to play out, but we'll see!

i installed it and when i go to landscape it doesn't work. i also did soft reset b4. i got a Samsung sch-i760.

EDIT:
tested on an At&t tilt from 10:30 pm on..and works ( for the most part ).
issues to report :
threaded msg'g doesnt work
contacts take 3-5 seconds to load
task menu loads scrambled.
i do appreciate your efforts tho..i do look foward to a future release!

Awesome work Mbarvian! Any chance of switching this over to homescreen ++ UI, its very similiar to rltoday in the xml design, but allows for multiple pages and today plugins to be added? That could open lots of possibilities.

question: once installed if you dont like it can you uninstall it or what cause id like to try it out on my tytn 2 but like to know whats what first thanx a lot an greak tjob on making this!!!

Very nice, great work! I installed on my herald running ttrans 7.5 M2D rom and it works great. sure there is a bit of a lag, but who cares it adds alot of class to the manilla platform! so for all with M2D cooked into their ROMs, this will work. Thank you for your time and obvious talent!

[APP][CAB][QVGA]HTC Rhodium Menu Enhancement-Replacement [04-10-09]

Well, I saw all those QVGA Rhodium Menu ports popping up, but each of them had SOME issue or another. Some had the graphics messed up, others had text wrapping issues. SO, I decided to make my own cab and stuff. Let me know if it works for anyone else. I ported the graphics myself, and tweaked the settings from original.

I myself am trying to get as much Rhodium apps as possible. I don't have experience in programing, but some in Photoshop etc.
What are the possibilities in porting the SMS and Contact apps from the Rhodium?

I've just updated my ROM to Hyperdragon IV 10th April and this CAB won't install. It says installation unsuccessful as the software was intended for another device.

No, the text wrapping was fixed in a .dll by someone else, actually.

Hi There,
It installs fine on my Herald using the JustStable ROM from Ivanmmj (21040).
But It does not work.
I did a soft and a hard reboot.
But no luck

Odd, I've tested this on a Vogue and a Kaiser, and it worked on both. I changed a few things around again. Sorry to hear that it's not working for you guys. Try ti again, i guess. : /

From what I've read, you need TF3D for the SMS app to work. I don't know about the contacts app, but I guess we'll just have to see. I would be awesome if someone released a non TF3D release of those apps. (My knowledge mainly remains in Photoshop, and then some coding, so I'm almost in the same boat as you, haha.)

Sorry was that you who fixed it i have tested several version with so called fixed dll's but this is the first to work well only messes up on long file names so the problem is still there just made better

unable to get this to work on my kaiser, i'm running build 21139...it will install but nothing happens after that, i did soft reset after install, but still the same ol menus...

That is wierd, cause i thought i might be a "skin" of some sort in those apps, heck I'd map it to the soft button. Oh well.... Wasn't there a TF3D for ELFin being worked on.
PS-Place this app in th thread i made about Rhodium apps, let see how many we can get. its about a day old thread.

Other than the kais name and some screen porting i dont see anything changed Has this worked on anyones device yet? Im going to see what i can come up with but im a little lost. I dont see any reg entries changed at all. This is where we need help as well as the screen size... I will see whats up. Mighta just overlooked something

Working on my Kaiser running build 21040. I had to enable the "Notification Manager" in services though.

Is there a registry setting to disable the Rhodium Menu Enhancement?
I'm using one of AtOmAng's ROMs which has this menu built in, but I prefer using the classic menu's

I love that theme. Where can i get it?. I have the default HTC theme and I hate it, however when I have tried to install other thems using M2DC, they or do not install or install with some issues.

It's all standard ROM and theme (HTC black).
The others are :
PMenu plus : cascading menu
tD launch : lowest row

Nothing wrong with that my friend, I often use the stylus for speed, most day to day things I use my fingers though.
As for wp7, love the looks, hate the sound of it, basically its the phone equivalent of Vista; beautiful looks, dubious functionality.

But, i have some problems. First, when i unlocked my phone, and then appear the flip clock, he shows the time before 1 hour and 2 minutes. Ok, this is for animate the flip clock, but he shows me approximetly 2-3 seconds the time before 1h,2m. Is there any way to abbreviate this delay time? It's enoght 1 second to view what's the time. Now, I am always in a mistake about the time.
The second observation is the programs tab. I like the original programs tab with three icons in one line. It's possible to set like original?

Nope... just Today Plugins, so the phone is lightning fast.. don't need extra pages, picture contacts, current weather (I have a window or two in my house)

I use the built in red theme, since it's finger friendly in menus, with a specific wallpaper file ripped from another theme, and the today text set to black using sktools.
I also use Opera Mini for browsing - the Java based v5 final, since the native version is so buggy, and JZ Smartmort to make it the default browser.

Pro Series m11 must give you 65mb on startup AFTER configuring all active sync properly and a deleting unwanted processes on startup. i have used colorful commonmanger in this special edition Rom.i have also used htc mega dialer original skin.fully loaded rom.lots up extra software are in this rom.
How to install:
- Flash this ROM as usual
- Wait 3 minutes on the welcome screen
- Calibrate screen
- Customization will start auto it take 2 minutes.
- network service configuration then device will auto reboot.
- then enjoy my rom.

thanksss for feedback i will try to give best rom for all but nobody take inters in my rom when all install my rom then giveing me feedback then i will try to fix all bug.

I understand that you want to play to individuality, but try to use understandable icons. Good idea, reminiscent of I-Phone. But a little more work needs. If I will have time, I will set up an icon pack with fresh icons!
Nice LockScreen! What kind is it?
If you want less bugs in your ROM, then you should seek to incorporate less third party apps in ROM!
Try to simplify! it will cure a lot of bugs.

but here is some issues:
- calculator does not work ( this is same as m9 )
- battery drain fast ( in 8 hours it loose about 25% !! without any usage)
- every thing else is working normally and without bugs ( thanks )

in next version plz improve battery life of course without deleting M2D and EZinput
try to simplify your rom and use only necessary third party application like PIM Backup/ a power controller like xda shutdown, quick shutdown/ plz add normal theme in your rom ( any way this is yours and we all are thankful for sharing it)

Try to change the Regional settings to another like English (uk) or something like that! Coz the same problem is in the Jogan2s EVO ROMs when i using Latvian or Russian REG SETTINGS! Do not know why this happening!

first of all i have to say lot of thanks for your hard work on keep opal alive ! it worth than any award is
I'm using your amazing rom, but i have 2 problems.
1) my cell restart some times without any touch ! dunno if its because of your rom or some part of my cell doesnt work properly.
2) whenever i try to call someone , I cant see him/her name and # , because of black font and black background. it would be nice if you change it in your new rom
and some suggestion :
-put opera mini in your rom as default web browser. far better than IE =P
-syncro time is one the most amazing WM app i've ever seen ! add it please
-if you have "map" in your rom, it would be cool to add newer version of google map which is 4
- microsoft my phone will let you to sync your contact and lot of more stuff. would be nice to have it
-I think xtask is much better than show case as task manager ,show case is cool but xtask has lot of more useful feature
-since opal need to remove battery cover for soft reset, it would be awesome if you add quick shutdown
-an over clocking tools is always appreciated
P.S : I have all of these applications, uploading them and pass you the link is no sweat for me, i would be my pleasure to help you to **** an awesome rom dont hesitate to ask for applications in case that you dont have them if you decide to use them

but black font and black background should be removed because of the problem that they crate

and about "my phone" i have to say somehow i'm agree with you that its not necessary but with that , you have nothing to be worry about losing your contacts and taken photos. you can easily sync it with your Microsoft storage.

yes, this is true.... but instead of "my phone" you can put pimbackup in the rom which is more useful
